If you’re looking for free food apps and e-mail clubs, then you came to the right place!

In this blog post, I am going to talk about the many smartphone apps and websites, often known as e-mail “eClubs” online, that are willing to give you free food and/or drinks just for signing up and downloading their app and/or joining their e-mail list.  These are better known as restaurants with free food apps.

Or, in some cases, you can get free food or a drink if you meet the requirements, such as making a small purchase or accruing points.  It’s almost just as good as being free if you were to going to make a purchase anyways.

I promise you this is the real deal, it’s not a scam and these offers WILL come directly from restaurants.  These offers are TRULY free.

In each description below, I will mention what you need to do in order to snag your freebie, but usually, it just requires entering a few details, such as your name, email address, date of birth and zip code.  Some may give you your first order free while others may give you a free appetizer.  They all vary.

So if you’re like me and you love to eat (and drink) for free, then these apps and eClubs could keep you full for quite some time and you may not have to pay a cent:

7-Eleven

Download the 7-Eleven app, register for their rewards program, and for joining, the company will offer you either a free coffee, donut, taquito or a Big Gulp — the choice is yours.

Even after you claim your freebie, don’t delete it just yet as the app rewards you every time you shop here.

Also, every seventh drink is free and bonus offers, such as free food and drinks, do pop up from time to time.

ampm Store

The ampm convenience store/gas station offers the chance at free food by playing their scratch-off game every day, any time you’re near the store.

While the freebie isn’t guaranteed, all you need to do is be near the store, at least one mile or so, and you can win anything ranging from a free drink to a gift card by simply scratching the ticket on your phone.

It’s a fun game to play, and if you’re getting as, you might as well try your shot at a free item or even cash.

Nothing is guaranteed with this app, however.

Andy’s Frozen Custard

Not too many Andy’s Frozen Custard locations around, but if decide to join the YUM SQUAD, they will give you a free cone just for joining.

Other perks include bonus point offers, exclusive deals and a free $5 treat for every $50 spent.

Applebee’s

Applebee’s will not send you a freebie when you sign up, unfortunately; however, they will send you a free treat on your birthday.

Arby’s

At the time of this publishing, Arby’s was working on adding an app, but it was only working in select markets.  However, it doesn’t mean you can still save.

If you join via the e-mail list, Arby’s will throw in a free signature sandwich as long as you purchase a fountain drink.

I swear, every time I pass by Auntie Anne’s inside of the mall, I’m always lured in by the smell!

So, if you’re like and are toting around a few kids, this is a great way to snag a freebie.

Plus, if you find yourself here quite often, keep the app active as they will reward you for every 300 points earned.

Au Bon Pain

The Au Bon Pain Cafe will give you a free travel mug when you sign up for their ECLUB.

Not only that, all members receive discounts daily on their drink refills and special promotions sent to their email in the future.

A&W

When you join the A&W Mug Club, they will send you a free root beer float on your birthday and multiple free coupons throughout the year.

Backyard Burgers

Join the Backyard Burger Clubhouse and they will start you off with a FREE Back Yard Classic Burger just for signing up — not bad!

Baja Fresh

Baja Fresh doesn’t have a lot of locations nationwide, but they remind me a lot of the Chipotle chain.

If you’re in the mood for some Mexican cuisine and have a location nearby, then download their app for a free taco if you make a purchase.

While not 100% free, if you’re going to make a purchase, you might as well get a free taco with it.

Baskin-Robbins

Want some free ice cream tonight?

Well, it’s possible with the Baskin-Robbins app.

Download the app, sign up for the company’s mobile deals and you’re rewarded with a FREE regular scoop.   No purchase necessary!

Beef ‘O’ Brady’s

When you join Team ‘O’ Brady’s, they will send you a free shareable starter, up to $8, just for joining.

Benihana

Unfortunately, Benihana will not send you anything for signing up, but I wanted to include it because they will send you a $30 voucher during your birthday month if you sign up for a free “The Chef’s Table” account.  This is one of the best birthday freebies on the market today.

Biggby Coffee

Just for joining, Biggby Coffee, through its “Happy Lounge” will give you a free drink AND another on your birthday.

Black Bear Diner

When you join the Bear Lover’s E-Club, the Black Bear Diner will send you a free bear claw AND a free cup of coffee.

Also, on your birthday, they will send you a FREE breakfast, again, just for joining.  It’s free!

Blaze Pizza

Download the Blaze Pizza app and they will send you a free drink just for joining.

Other perks include one “flame” for every dollar spent and online ordering privileges.

Blimpie

The Blimpie sub chain, a lot like Subway and Quiznos, will give you a free regular sub upon joining the eClub, but you must purchase a drink and another sub in order to get it.  Consider it a buy one, get one free coupon.

Other offers include $1 off any sub or $10 off a catering order.

Bojangles

Bojangles offers two deals when you join the official E-Club:  a free half gallon Legendary Iced Tea with any purchase AND a free Bo-Berry Biscuit with any purchase on your birthday.

Just make sure your local location accepts the program offers before redeeming.

Buca di Beppo

All first-time Buca E-club subscribers receive a free pasta upon joining and exclusive offers in the future.

Buffalo Wild Wings

From the looks of it, the app will not give you a freebie right off the bat, but if you fill out your profile, you will earn 50 points and another 10 for checking in.  AND, if you’re going to spend $10, they will give you another 100 points, bringing your grand total to 160 points — more than halfway to a free drink.

Again, no freebies instantly, but the points system seems to be quite generous.

For example, a family of four, in my opinion, could easily spend $50, meaning you could rack up 500 points right away.

Even if you eat here every few months, the points will add up fast.

Burger King

Sign up with the Burger King app and they will instantly send you more than $30 worth of coupons.

When I downloaded it, the coupons appeared to be the same as the ones you would often receive in your mailbox, such as a buy one, get one Whopper and so forth.

You will not get a freebie for signing up; however, you will get a freebie if you make a purchase with some of the active coupons.

California Pizza Kitchen

The California Pizza Kitchen app offers a FREE small plate when you register and another one point for every $1 you spent.  Once you hit 75 points, you get a $5 reward.

Captain D’s Seafood offers either a free entree or dessert simply for registering.

Also, earn five points for every dollar you spent and earn a free meal at 500 points.

Aside from the free entree/dessert, the company will throw in a bonus 100 points to get you started.

Caribou Coffee

As a Caribou Coffee member, the company will throw in a free drink during your first visit as a Perks member.

Also, earn two points for every $1 you spend and even receive a treat on your birthday.

Carl’s Jr.

Sign up for the Carl’s Jr. email list and they will send you a coupon for a free small fry AND small beverage with a purchase of any six dollar burger.

Carvel

Get the “inside scoop” with the Carvel “Fudgie Fanatics” program.

New members receive a printable coupon for a buy one, get one free and can be used at participating locations only.

Checker’s

Sadly, Checker’s are not located nationwide, but if you do have one nearby, the app does offer free fries for first-time downloaders.

Aside from the freebie, Checker’s continues to send out deals and coupons to its app members every week, so it doesn’t hurt to keep it active if you find yourself here occasionally.

Cheddar’s

Just for signing up for the eClub, Cheddar’s will throw in free chips and queso on your next visit.

Chick-fil-A

The Chick-fil-A One™ app, like some of the apps I mention here, does not offer a freebie right away; however, they do offer points for every dollar you spent.  These points can then be redeemed for freebies.

While the app does not offer a freebie instantly, in some cases, you may find a random freebie pop up in your app occasionally, so it doesn’t hurt to download as you never know what you’re going to find.

If you truly want freebies from Chick-fil-A, then I recommend you try to get your hands on a calendar to get a promotional card filled with freebies.

Chili’s

Become a rewards member with Chili’s via their app and they will reward you with either free chips and salsa, or if you’re not a fan of chips, then a non-alcoholic beverage.

Be sure to keep the app active if you eat here often since they will send you a free dessert on your birthday AND personalized rewards based on your history, including free kids meals, appetizers and more.

Chipotle

As much as I would love to say Chipotle offers freebies for joining, this isn’t the case.

However, if you like Chipotle burrito here and there, highly consider the app as they do often “hook” you up at checkout or in the case of bad publicity, the sometimes even offer a free entree.

Regardless, if you eat there, download the app to earn points for every purchase you make.

Chronic Taco

If you join the Chronic Tacos loyalty app, they will reward you with a special buy one, get one free taco offer just for joining.

Aside from the initial freebie, the restaurant offers points whenever you check-in and make a purchase.

Cinnabon

Join the Club Cinnabon and you will get a free MINIBON just for joining — no purchase necessary.

Coffee Bean

To welcome you to the app, the Coffee Bean will offer you a free brewed coffee or tea after your download.

Aside from the welcome freebie, they will also offer app downloaders exclusive extras, a birthday and even surprise promotions.

Corner Bakery

Join the official Corner Bakery eClub and they will send you a free sweet offer via your inbox.  Signing up, it appeared to be a freshly baked cookie.

According to the Corner Bakery, the VIP pass will also allow you to receive offers in the future.

Culver’s

When you sign up for a MyCulver’s account, you get a free scoop of ice cream just for signing up!

Dairy Queen

I love a good Dairy Queen treat once in a while, and it seems no matter where I am in the U.S., there’s a DQ nearby.

Well, if you download the app and register for an account, DQ will give you a free small Blizzard® treat, no strings attached!

Plus, if you continue to eat here, continue to use the app as they offer exclusive deals and even freebies to frequent customers.

Del Taco

Join Del Taco’s Raving Fan Club and receive two FREE grilled chicken tacos, with no purchase necessary.

Other great perks include a free premium shake on your birthday and exclusive coupons.

Denny’s

Connect with the Denny’s app and you’re in for a myriad of treats, including a free birthday Grand Slam® and exclusive rewards.

Plus, as a welcome offer, they will not offer free food, but 20% off your entire bill.

Domino’s Pizza

I’m a sucker for franchise pizza occasionally, including Domino’s.

For every six orders of $10 or more, the Domino’s app will throw in a medium two-topping pizza for free.

Nothing free when signing up, unfortunately, but a free pizza in the future could be worth it if you find yourself ordering here quite a bit.

Dunkin’ Donuts

Join the DD Perks app from Dunkin Donuts and receive offers, rewards and even get a free drink on your birthday every year.

Plus, for every dollar you spend, you get $5, which could add up fast if you find yourself grabbing a donut and/or drink here quite often.

For first-time users, while it isn’t 100% free, the company offers a free beverage if you load money onto your virtual gift card within the app.

Einstein Bros Bagels

Join the Shmear Society and Einstein Bros Bagels will throw in a free bagel and shmear with any purchase just for joining.

El Pollo Loco

With the LOCO Rewards program, new members will get a FREE chips and guac for joining.

Other perks include a free birthday reward, bonus days and 1 point for every dollar spent.

Firehouse Subs

When you sign up for the Firehouse Subs Copy That! email newsletter, you will receive a free large drink with a sub purchase as a thank you for signing up.

First Watch

Join the Sun EClub, First Watch will email you a “buy one, get one free” offer on your next visit.

Hardee’s

Hardee’s will send you news, coupons and best of all, a free small fry AND beverage when you purchase a 1/3lb. Thickburger.

Houlihan’s

If you join the Houlihan’s email list, they will send you a FREE entree, up to $15, when you purchase another… all just for joining.

Plus, on your birthday, you will receive yet another free entree coupon.

IHOP

When writing this, I saw that first-time IHOP app users would get $5 off $25 on their first purchase, but this could vary depending on the time of year and current promotion.

Other features included three free pancakes on your birthday and on the day of signing up for the club.

Exclusive app offers were also available as well.

Jamba Juice

Download the official Jamba Juice app and use the promotional code “JJ2OFF2” to get $2 off your first purchase while using the app.

Jersey Mike’s

While the Jersey Mike’s chain will not send you a freebie when you join, they will send you a great birthday coupon — a free sub AND drink without any purchase necessary.

The great thing about this coupon is that you do not need to use it on your birthday as they give you a whole year to redeem it!

Jimmy John’s

Download the “Freaky Fast Rewards” app and Jimmy John’s will reward you with a free eight-inch sandwich after your first purchase.

Also, as you use the app, you can earn point, in which you can cash out for a variety of free food.

Joe’s Crab Shack

Just for signing up with “Joe’s Catch,” they will send you a free appetizer coupon.

Johnny Rockets

When you join the Rocket E-Club, Johnny Rockets will send you a free burger coupon with purchase, along with exclusive deals, coupons and limited time offer alerts.

Kona Grill

New Kona Grill members will a FREE starter or a roll just for signing up.

Krispy Kreme

Yum!  Who doesn’t love a Krispy Kreme donut?

If you’re the fan or maybe you didn’t try them out yet, there’s a good chance one is nearby as they do have locations nationwide.

With the Krispy Kreme app, just register for free and snag a FREE donut — no strings attached.

Krystal

When you join Club Krystal, they will send you TWO free Krystals and a small drink coupon with any purchase.

Coupons and a special birthday treat will be sent out in the future as well.

la Madeleine

The la Madeleine French Bakery and Cafe let you choose from either a cup of soupe or a petite salade when you sign up for the cafe’s E-Club.

Plus, as a member, you will also receive a birthday treat, exciting offers and updates.  The more you use the app, the more rewards you can get.

Longhorn Steakhouse

Longhorn Steakhouse will send you a free appetizer coupon with an entree purchase on your next visit if you join the club and “fire up your inbox.”

Maggiano’s Little Italy

Kind of free food, but if you sign up for the Maggiano’s free E-club, they will send you a $10 off your next purchase coupon — almost enough for a free entree!

Maggie Moo’s

Maggie Moo’s is limited to some part of the United States, and if you haven’t been there before, think Baskin Robbins or a DQ-like atmosphere.

Anyways, if you download the app, you will get free ice cream just for signing up and $5 off once you reach 50 reward points.

Better yet, on your birthday AND app anniversary, they will even throw in a $5 reward.

The McDonald’s app is probably one of the best fast food apps to download since they always offer freebies throughout the month.

Whether it’s a free fry Friday or a random free burger day, the app always has a minimum of four to five+ offers, ranging from $1+ off your purchase to a free drink if you make any purchase.

If you’re like me, I find myself at McDonald’s quite a bit, and if you’re saying the same thing, I highly recommend you consider the app.

Mellow Mushroom

Just for joining the Mellow Mushroom E-Club, they will send you a free pretzel bites coupon on your next purchase.

Additional features include exclusive deals and a freebie on your birthday.

Melting Pot

Club Fondue will send you a complimentary box of six signature chocolate-covered strawberries just for joining!

Mimi’s Cafe

Mimi’s Cafe will throw in a 2-pack of muffins or croissants just for joining Mimi’s E-Club.

Not only that, but the franchise will also include special offers, such as free meals, in the future.

Moe’s Southwest Grill

The Moe’s Southwest Grill app allows you to order ahead, earn rewards AND get a free nacho with a drink purchase upon signup.

Plus, if that’s not enough, on your birthday, they will send you a free burrito coupon.

Newk’s

Join the Roundtable Club and Newk’s will give you a free dessert!

O’Charleys

When you become a member of the O’Club, O’Charleys will send you a free appetizer via email, often within 24 hours.

Members also receive exclusive offers, discounts and a special birthday surprise.

Old Chicago

Just for joining the OC Rewards program, Old Chicago will send you a free appetizer, up to a $10 value after your first transaction.

Olive Garden

The Oliven Garden eClub will send you a coupon for either a free appetizer OR a dessert when you purchase two entrees.

As a member, eClub members also receive special coupons, exclusive news and event invitations.

On the Border

On the Border’s Club Cantina will send you a FREE bowl of signature queso or a sopapilla on your next visit.

Other offers include a “Cinco Deal” every 5th of the month and free queso on your birthday and on the anniversary of signing up.

Panera Bread

If you haven’t done so already, register for the MyPanera rewards program — it’s free.

And for doing so, Panera will reward you with a free pastry.

If that’s not enough, the company will reward you with free surprises, such as a free salad or sandwich, just for using the app.

If you find yourself at Panera quite often and you haven’t joined the program just yet, then I highly recommend you do so ASAP.

Peet’s

The PEETNIK REWARDS program will reward you with a free beverage of your choice just for checking in on your first visit after downloading the app.

Other benefits and rewards include points for every purchase and a free beverage on your birthday.

Penn Station

Download the official Penn Station East Coast Subs app and they will give you a free six-inch sub — no strings attached.

Pizza Inn

Within 24 hours of joining the Pizza Inn Rewards program, the company will send you a coupon for either a medium chocolate chip dessert or five pepperoni twists.

Quiznos

There used to be a lot of Quiznos locations nationwide, but sadly, a lot of them have been closing.

If you’re one of the lucky few to have a location nearby, however, the chain does offer a free four-inch sub with ANY purchase.

Download the Quiznos loyalty app, sign up and you will earn the offer.

Rainforest Cafe

Join the Landry’s Select Club and the Rainforest Cafe will send you a $25 welcome reward!

Other rewards include $25 for every $250 spent, a $25 birthday reward and priority seating.

Raising Cane’s

Sign up for a CANIAC card and Raising Cane’s will give you a FREE box combo just for signing up.  The offer will be loaded to your card within 48 hours.

Also, members will receive a free drink on their birthday and a “buy one, get one” coupon on their sign-up anniversary date.

Rally’s

Sign up for FLAVORHOOD and receive a free large fry coupon on your next purchase.

Red Lobster

Download the My Red Lobster Rewards app and you can start earning points toward a free reward.

In fact, as of this publishing, the restaurant chain is offering 75 bonus points just for joining.

Aside from the bonus points, if you keep the app active, they will send you a special birthday offer and special, exclusive offers.

Red Robin

The Red Robin app offers a variety of awesome options, including a free birthday burger (choose from 24), $20 toward your sixth visit if you visit five times in five weeks and exclusive surprise rewards.

Rita’s Italian Ice

No freebie offers if you join the Rita’s Rewards program, but the company does offer a FREE regular-sized Italian Ice, Gelati or Custard on your 8th visit.

Rubio’s

The Rubio’s Beach Club throws in a free taco just for signing up.

Other delicious perks include exclusive invitations to an event and unique club member-only offers.

Ruby Tuesday

Ruby Tuesday’s SO CONNECTED club will send you a free appetizer, free burger OR a free garden bar entree just for joining.

Additional features include a birthday freebie, exclusive news and offers for club members only.

Schlotzsky’s Deli

If you download the Schlotzsky’s Deli app, you will get a free small classic sandwich just for joining and $7 off your entire purchase after you visit the deli at least seven times.

Other rewards include the Schlotzsky’s Slotz, which gives you the opportunity to win free food and gift cards and exclusive offers for app customers.

Shari’s

The Shari’s Cafe Club will give you a free slice of pie just for registering your new Cafe Club card.

Sizzler

The Sizzler’s free eClub will send you a FREE entree coupon and additional special offers throughout the year.

Smashburger

Join the SmashClub and Smashburger will throw in a free entree coupon when you purchase a drink and side.

Also, on your birthday, you will receive a free side OR shake.

Smoothie King

Kind of sorta free, but Smoothie King will send you a $2 gift card when you sign up for “Healthy Rewards” AND another $2 on your birthday and signup anniversary.

Sonic

Download the Sonic app for the first time and enjoy either a free medium slush or a drink.  No strings attached.

Aside from the free food offering when you join, the company also offers half-price drinks or slushies whenever you order ahead of time inside the app.

Starbucks

Ah, who doesn’t like a Starbucks drink?

If you find yourself here quite often, the app will not offer a freebie right away; however, you will earn a free drink of choice on your birthday.

If you’re not gathering “stars” at your local Starbucks, then I highly recommend you use the app to earn your way to a free drink as every 125 stars equal a free meal or drink.

Steak N Shake

As a new club member, you can earn a free specialty milk shake with your first purchase.

Plus, every time you earn 50 points, you will earn $5 in rewards.

Taco Bell

Yes, Taco Bell even has an app, where you can get exclusive rewards and even unlock special offers.

Depending on the time of the year, the exclusive rewards vary, but I have seen people get 25% off their first purchase when using the app — not too bad of a deal.

Taco Cabana

Get a free shredded chicken taco when you sign up for the TC! Rewards program.

Members also receive a $5 reward for every $75 spent when you use your app.

TCBY

The rewards seem to vary with TCBY, all depending on the current promotion, but for the most part, you often get $3 off a future purchase when you download the app.

Texas Roadhouse

Sign up for the Texas Roadhouse club today and they will send you a free appetizer just for joining.

TGIFriday

Earn either a free appetizer or a dessert when you download the TGIFriday app for the first time.

When I did this, the offer was emailed to me almost immediately and I had to print it from my email since it did not show up in the app.

Regardless, it’s a freebie, so I’m not complaining.  On top of the freebie, like many of these apps, you can earn points for every dollar spent, which can eventually lead to free meals and desserts.

Tilted Kilt

The Tilted Kilt’s “Kilt Clan” members receive a free pub pretzel coupon just for joining and a free burger or boneless wings on your birthday.

Togo’s

Kind of free, but Togo’s will give you a $3 gift card when you join their rewards program.

Uncle Julio’s

Uncle Julio’s “AMIGO ESPECIAL LOYALTY PROGRAM” will throw in a complimentary tableside guacamole on your next visit.  And as you move up the ranks and make more purchases, you will receive even more rewards, including up to $250 in credits!

Uno Pizzeria

Uno Pizzeria says they will throw in a free welcome gift when you join the e-club, and digging into it, it appears they will send you a free entree coupon, along with exclusive offers/coupons throughout the year.

Village Inn

Sign up for the Villan Inn ECLUB and they will throw in a free slice of pie with an entree purchase.

Other benefits include valuable coupons, special event invites and even valuable deals.

Wayback Burgers

Wayback Burgers will give you a free classic burger after joining and make your first purchase while using the app.

Wienerschnitzel

The Wiener Lovers’ Club will send you a free chili dog just for joining and another coupon on your birthday.

If e-mail isn’t your thing, then you can text HOTDOG to 21333 and they will send you a free corn dog coupon.

Wendy’s

This one is kind of iffy as it isn’t 100% free, so don’t get mad.

I’m a pretty big fan of Wendy’s and love the app since it always has a freebie offer, but the catch is that you often have to purchase something, but it can be anything in some cases, even a $1 item.

For instance, it may be a buy one, get one or even get a free item with any purchase.

If you’re super frugal, consider using the app when a friend makes a purchase as oftentimes, the app isn’t too strict on what you need to purchase.

Wetzel’s Pretzels

Download the Wetzel’s Pretzels app and earn a FREE pretzel item just for joining.

After every six pretzel item purchases, the app will reward you with another free pretzel item.

And if that’s not enough, you will get a free pretzel on your birthday as well.

Whataburger

Download the Whataburger app and get a free “favorite” every five times you visit the restaurant.

And while they do not offer a welcome freebie, this could be a great reward if you plan on visiting more than five times.

Which Wich

The Which Wich “Vibe Club” will send you a free drink just for joining and a free Wich on your birthday.

For every $35 you spend, you will also receive a free seven-inch sandwich.

Wing Stop

The Wing Stop THECLUB gives you all the latest on Wing Stop offerings as well as a free gift on your birthday.

But, just for signing up, they will also send you an order of fries… for free.

Yogurtland

The Yogurtland Real Rewards program will throw in a free 3-ounce treat just for joining and another 3-ounce treat on your birthday.

As you progress throughout the membership tiers, you can earn even more rewards.

Zaxby’s

Join the Zax Email Club and get a FREE sandwich meal just for joining.

Then, when your birthday comes around, Zaxby’s will send you a FREE nibbler postcard.

Final Thoughts

As you can see, there are a TON of restaurants that are willing to give you free food for simply joining the app.

Sure, while some are not technically 100% free and require a purchase in some cases, if you’re going to head to the establishment anyway, why not get a freebie with your purchase?

Keep in mind that these offers can change periodically and I will do my best to keep them updated.
