TV Two App Review: Earn for Watching TV?

The TV-TWO app rewards you with Ethereum whenever you watch a video on your phone.  If you like the idea of watching videos and getting rewarded in cryptocurrency, it may be something to consider.

Now, I have reviewed the many ways you can watch videos and get paid in the past, and I will be honest in that most options stink.  I’m talking pennies made per hour.  Is this one any different?  I don’t know.  This is why I wanted to make this review.

The thing that sticks out the most to me is that the app has great reviews.  I’m talking more than 1,000,000+ downloads with a very solid 4.8/5 rating.  That’s pretty good, and it shows me that there’s some promise.

In today’s honest review, I went ahead and downloaded the app to see how it works, what you can make as well as if it’s worth your time.  As in all of my reviews, I’m 100% honest, only promoting what I feel is going to make you some money.

What is TV-TWO?

TV-TWO is a GPT platform that focuses mainly on watching videos; however, other options exist, all of which I will get into later.  Mostly, the videos you see on the platform will come from YouTube, which is a breath of fresh air, seeing most videos on the platforms I linked to above often come from cheesy third-party sites that are bombarded with ads.  While TV-TWO pushes sponsored messages, you can at least watch somewhat entertaining content on the YouTube platform.

The company allows you to start watching videos on your mobile phone or you can download the Samsung/LG app, in which you can watch the videos on your TV and get rewarded.  As long as your devices are linked to your account, you will earn crypto for every second you watch.

Making Money with TV-TWO

As mentioned, you will make most of your money watching YouTube videos, either on your TV or phone.  Whichever option you choose, it will work in the same way.  Just remember that if you do start watching the videos on your LG or Samsung TV, make sure your accounts are linked together so that you can get rewarded for your time.  To make things easier, I recommend you use your mobile phone so that you don’t have to worry about the linking process.

After you download the app, you will see a screen that looks something like the screenshot above.  What you’re going to want to do is watch a video of interest on that list or you can use the search icon to narrow down your search.  Since the app works closely with the YouTube search engine, you will find thousands of videos of interest.

For every second you watch, you will earn one credit, but you can only earn 500 credits in a day, which means you can only watch about 8~ minutes of content in a day.

Making Money with Offers

Aside from watching YouTube videos and getting paid, you can also earn tokens in the “more rewards” section, which can be found on your profile page.

These offers, as you can see, pay you a certain amount of tokens, but in my opinion, these offers are not really worth your time, as most of them lead to sleazy offers that won’t provide you much value.  Instead, you’re going to get bombarded with spam and waste a lot of time going through pages of nonsense.  They seem like they pay a lot, but as you’re about to find out, these tokens are not worth that much.

At first glance, I don’t recommend these offers, but I just wanted to mention this portion as it is another way to earn.

What Are Tokens Worth?

Here’s the confusing part.

Unlike most survey apps, where you can request a simple PayPal payout, this isn’t the case here.  They only deal with cryptocurrency and nothing else.

To cash out, you will need at least 100,000 credits to collect your first payout.  And, when you do cash out, you will receive 1 TTV token, which is a cryptocurrency they created, for every 1,000 credits transferred to your TTV-compatible Ethereum wallet.  That means every 1,000 credits earned in the game equal 1 TTV token.  If you’re unsure which wallet you should choose, they recommend Freewallet.org to gather your rewards.  Your wallet must accept TTV tokens.

So, what is 1 TTV token worth?

It depends.

Like all cryptocurrency, it’s going to depend on the current value since it’s greatly based on the market conditions.  From the historical data, the coin has fluctuated between $0.001 to $0.004, but it seems to hover around $0.001.  And, don’t confuse this with a penny, either.  That’s two zeros, meaning it’s a FRACTION of a penny.  So, every 10 TTV you earn will equal one penny.  That’s 10,000 credits for a penny.

You can find the current price here.

What Can I Earn?

So, let’s do the math.

You can earn up to 500 tokens a day by watching about 8 minutes of videos.  And with every 1,000 tokens worth 1 TTV token, that means you have to watch 16 minutes of videos in two days to earn 1 TTV token, which, looking at the charts, is worth a tenth of a penny.  That means you have to watch 10 days’ worth of videos to earn one penny.  However, it could be more if the token rises in price, which, of course, is doubtful.

Aside from the videos, you can also complete the offers, which can bring in more, but it’s not much more.  If you are going to complete the offers, make sure you use a separate email since the type of offers they promote often bombard your email with spam.  This is something I would skip as well.  There are much better options than this, I promise you that.

NOTE:  From what I read, only one wallet (Freewallet) appears to hold this coin, and it’s very hard to move/trade it.  If you think you’re going to get value, many members say it’s next to impossible in today’s environment.

Final Thoughts

1/10Just as my suspicions thought; it’s another video app that doesn’t pay much.  I’m talking pennies.

If you don’t mind making pennies watching YouTube videos filled with ads, then I say go for it.  And honestly, I’m not even sure this app will last this long, seeing they are violating YouTube’s TOS.

In the end, I’m skipping it and I advise you do so too.  Looking at the reviews, I’m baffled as to the high reviews, seeing you can’t make much. Maybe I’m missing something, but I don’t think I am.

That does it for now.
