Bizrate Rewards allows you to take surveys and redeem gift cards in exchange for your time. As I write this, they have more than 100,000 members, making it a decent sized research company. I wouldn’t say it’s the biggest, of course, but it’s not the smallest, either.
It’s one of the many survey companies out there, but the question is if it’s worth your time. While the company in itself is, indeed, legitimate, we just need to make sure that surveys can actually earn you some cash.
In today’s review, I want to talk about Bizrate Rewards.
Is it worth your time?
How much can you make?
I will answer many of these questions. As always, I’m 100% honest, non-biased and I give it to you as it is.
Signing Up With Bizrate Rewards
The problem with Bizrate Rewards is that they are by invite only. Unlike the many survey companies that allow you to start immediately, it isn’t the case here with them.
If you want to request an invite, the company asks that you click on the “request invitation” button and then give them your email and name.
After you enter this information, Bizrate will then send you an invite. As to how long it takes, it will greatly depend on the time of year and how desperate they need members.
You need to be at least 18 years old and live in the United States to join. It’s 100% free to do so.
The Surveys
Once you’re in, Bizrate Rewards focuses on surveys only. This means you won’t find games, offers, etc. This can make it nice if you’re looking for a site that focuses solely on surveys from reputable companies.
For every survey you complete, you can earn points, which can range anywhere from as little as 50 to more than 1,000 points. Every point you earn will be considered a “penny” in value. A lot of these survey sites use a points system, and thankfully, Bizrate Rewards uses an easy-to-understand system. In some cases, you find some companies use funky systems that make it hard to understand.
Before you take any survey, you will always know how long it will take you as well as what it pays. If the compensation makes sense for the time required, then take it. If not, you can always skip out on it. You’re welcome to take any survey you want.
After completing any survey, it can take up to 72 hours for your points to show.
Survey Frequency and How Much You Can Make
The number of surveys you receive will greatly depend on your demographics, and this can be said about any survey site.
So, depending on your demographics, you can expect to receive about two to five surveys a week. Using that 5 to 5,000 point average, I would say it’s safe to say you could earn $3 to $5 a week. I know, it’s not life-changing, but these survey sites are not designed to make you rich or to help you quit your day job. It’s simply as a means to buy a lunch or two, nothing else. As long as you have that mindset, it can be that much more enjoyable. This is a high average, so honestly, I wouldn’t even expect this much. Your results will vary.
As a key note, the company seems to have been slacking with survey invites as of late, so don’t let that discourage you from signing up as things can change frequently.
Rewards
As mentioned, Bizrate Rewards uses a points system and you will need at least 5,000 points, a $5 value, to cash out for a variety of gift card options.
At the moment, the company does have a variety of retailer gift card rewards, however, they do not have a PayPal or cash out option. Rather, you will have to choose from something such as Amazon, Papa John’s, Nike, etc. Honestly, as long as you need a retailer gift card or you’re happy with Amazon, you won’t be that disappointed with the rewards.
Make sure you stay active within 12 months as your points will expire if you don’t respond to emails and/or log in.
What the Internet Says
Of course, the reviews aren’t always about me, so I like to see what other people are saying online. Here’s what I found…
The Pros
It’s a legitimate company that has paid out hundreds of thousands of dollars to its members.
The payment threshold is low at 5,000 points ($5).
The Cons
The survey invites seem to be lacking. You may only get about two to three invites a week, which doesn’t seem like much in comparison to competitors.
There’s no PayPal option if you’re looking for cash.
Customer service seems to be subpar.
If you’re not active within the year, your points will expire.
No refer-a-friend program.
Final Thoughts
4/10Bizrate Rewards won’t make you much, so I would say I would put this low on your list.I just don’t think it’s worth your time as the company only sends a few invites a week, many of which you may not even qualify for. So, if you can make more than $5 a month using the site, I would say you’re doing okay, but of course, it isn’t much. For that reason, I would check out much better options such as Swagbucks or Superpay.me, to name a few. These options can make you $5 a day and have many more options.
While Bizrate Rewards is a legitimate opportunity, they just don’t have the surveys to keep you busy. This is the main reason I’m rating them so low.
That’s going to wrap it up for now.
