Bulbshare App Review: A Waste of Time?

Some of the links may be from a sponsor. Advertising Disclosure

Bulbshare is an app that suggests you can earn rewards by linking up with brands and/or causes close to your heart.  With the app, however, there isn’t a “definite” way to earn from its offered opportunities, unfortunately. You’re often left waiting for an invite from them to potentially make money.

Personally, I’m not convinced it’s the best app to earn money, but it doesn’t mean it’s at least worth checking out, as some paid opportunities exist.

In today’s review, I took it upon myself to test it to provide you with a clearer picture. If you’re thinking of giving it a go, I’d advise you first check out my review to set your expectations right.

Is it trustworthy? Does it deliver on its promises?

That’s everything I’m going to cover.

As always, in all of my reviews, I’m 100% honest, only recommending what I feel is worth your time.

Let’s begin.

Earning with Bulbshare

From my experience, Bulbshare mixes elements of social media and survey platforms. It rewards you for expressing your views on various topics, but don’t expect it to be as straightforward as other survey sites.

They call their earning opportunities “Briefs.” Think of them as surveys but with a twist. Instead of just answering questions, sometimes you will need to snap a photo or share a video.

After you log into the app, you will see these briefs and you can pick the one that is of interest to you.

A brief might start with a quick video or photo, followed by a series of questions. Your answers are submitted by swiping left or right, or by selecting from a list. Then, you will often have to add your own image or video to wrap it up.  Everything you need to know will be presented to you in the directions.

But here’s the catch…

Not all briefs are paid. In fact, many aren’t. Yet, engaging with them increases your chances of getting invited to paid opportunities. Once Bulbshare sees you as an active member, you will start getting these special invites. So, in a way, your earlier efforts aren’t in vain, but you’re gambling more on future paid invites if that makes sense.

Some briefs, for example, which are marked with a padlock icon, are restricted. They’re for specific Bulbshare communities or “channels” and you can only access them if invited by Bulbshare or if you have a channel code.   Aside from the closed communities, there are open channels too, but they rarely offer paid tasks. So, your best shot at earning is through these exclusive channels, again, which you need to be invited to.

While you can earn with Bulbshare, it’s not guaranteed, especially for newcomers. You will need to invest time and patience; however, if you don’t mind sharing insights that might shape products and services, it may be something to consider.  You just won’t get compensated all of the time.

How Much Can You Earn?

While not all briefs are paid, as I noted, when you do get a paid one, they’re fairly generous.

Expect around $3 to $10~ for each paid brief, which is notably more than your usual survey rewards. However, you might not consistently get these paid briefs, especially when you’re a newbie.

While Bulbshare pays decently for tasks, it’s not something you can bank on for regular income, that’s for sure.

Getting Paid

When you complete a paid brief on Bulbshare, you earn a set amount, and what’s cool is that there’s no minimum amount to cash out.

After completing a paid brief, your earnings are directly sent to your PayPal. Usually, you will see it in your account in a day or two, but sometimes it’s even quicker. Just remember to keep track of the paid tasks you’ve done to ensure you’re compensated correctly.

In my view, their payment system is straightforward, and using PayPal as a payout method is super convenient.

Joining

Bulbshare is open to everyone worldwide, but you have to be at least 18 years old to join.

As for joining, it is simple.  You will download the app, then sign up using a third-party platform, such as Facebook or Google, or you create a unique login, whichever you prefer. Once you’re in, you can immediately start taking the briefs. But remember, it might take a while before you see any earnings.  There’s no guarantee right away.

The Pros:

  • Surveys are fun, short, and easy
  • Offers incentives and sometimes instant payments
  • Opportunities to earn payments for sharing opinions, pictures, and short videos
  • Provides a platform for interaction with great brands and communities
  • Covers a range of topics that are varied and interesting
  • Offers a chance to win rewards or payments
  • The app interface is clean and user-friendly
  • Frequent communications and informative notifications

The Cons

  • Not ideal for users in different time zones, as notifications come at odd hours
  • Some users faced issues with payment or delays in receiving them
  • Some technical issues with the app, including functionality problems
  • There have been complaints about customer support not responding to user concerns
  • Need to sign up with the same email as PayPal to receive rewards, which isn’t always clear to users
  • Some feel there are too many unpaid opportunities compared to paid ones
  • Occasionally unclear guidelines or expectations in tasks
  • Some users feel the opportunities to participate in briefs are infrequent

Final Thoughts

3/10While Bulbshare has its perks, if your main goal is to consistently earn some extra money, it might not be the top pick. I feel waiting for invites to paid tasks isn’t the most effective way to earn, and to me, it isn’t worth your time.

In the end, I’d suggest exploring other platforms if you’re looking for instant cash, such as Swagbucks. However, if you’re passionate about sharing your views on brands and causes, then Bulbshare could be a good fit.  You just need to remember you won’t earn money right away.

That’s going to do it for now.
