Craigslist Surveys for Money: They Exist and Pay Big

Some of the links may be from a sponsor. Advertising Disclosure

If you have been here before, you probably already know that I like to talk about surveys.  While you can’t make a ton with surveys, you can make $100~ a month with little effort.  For some, that’s just enough as that’s all they are looking for.

Since there are a ton of places to find reputable surveys, I wanted to talk about a website that no one talks about — Craigslist.  Here, you can find some higher-paying surveys.  I’m talking $100 or more.  And, while in some cases, you may have to do visit a location in person, this isn’t always the case.

Today, I’m going to talk about how you can find these surveys on Craigslist as well as how you can find a reputable company that keeps inviting you to these surveys.  It’s a great resource to use, even though it has a bad reputation.

How to Find Craigslist Surveys for Money

Usually, most of your surveys will be found in either the “etc” subsection, which is found beneath the jobs main section or under the “computer” subsection, which can be found in the gigs area.

In clicking on these sections, you will then want to search for the terms “surveys,” “research” or anything related to this.  Depending on where you live, you should see some results.

For instance, when I was writing this, here’s what I found:

This list continued, but it was a lot of repeats.  As you can see, one survey dealt with glass installation contractors or those who suffer from IBS.  Unfortunately, I don’t qualify for either, so I wouldn’t click on it.

But, let’s say you do qualify.  You don’t want to just click on it and then apply.  Remember, Craigslist is known for scams, and it’s important to avoid them, so let me show you how it’s done

How to Avoid Scams

Let’s say you did suffer from IBS and you were interested in that $300 study.  If I were to click on that, I would then see this description…

As you can see, it sounds legit.  Again, as long as you qualify for the study, in this case, you have been diagnosed with IBS for 6+ months, you can follow through as you may be eligible.  When I click through, it takes me to a website called Acurian Health.

Now, this website is legitimate, however, since they often offer a hefty affiliate commission for people who convert, you may find sleazy affiliate marketers pushing these offers, making it look almost legit.  In this case, it’s an affiliate offer, and if you were to follow through, you would give that marketer a kickback for his/her sleazy marketing efforts.

Another option I found was this job posting, which I found under the “etc” section.

In this case, they wanted you to call a phone number, which I blurred out for privacy reasons.  When I searched that number, it went to a reputable research company.

The key here is to just make sure you research the link and/or phone number given.  Generally, a quick Google search can yield some results.  In the case, you can’t find much, then I recommend you pass on it as there will be other opportunities to consider.  Trust your gut and never give out sensitive information as this isn’t required!

In general, be on the lookout for the following:

  • crazy claims you will get rich (won’t happen)
  • the website you’re directed to looks unprofessional
  • link in question has nothing to do with the survey mentioned prior

Another Tip:  Check this Subreddit

On the very popular beer money subreddit, a user by the name of VeganMinecraft, will post a variety of Craigslist studies.  He does an awesome job in filtering out the results, making for easy browsing.  It’s as easy as looking at the list and then clicking through to go to the official Craigslist posting.

Here’s an example of what it looks like:

To find this list on that subreddit, what you will want to do is simply head to this link and search for “Craigslist Studies” in the search bar.  Usually, you should see an active post at least once a month

Then, once you’re on the, skim through the links and click on one of interest. As long as you feel you qualify, you can click through to the official Craigslist study to learn more about it.

Final Thoughts

Craigslist is a fantastic place to find both online and in-person studies, some of which can pay more than $100.  Even if you want to complete your surveys online, you will find most pay anywhere from $5 and beyond as long as you apply.  Just make sure that you read the description in depth so that you know if you qualify.  You won’t want to waste your time or the person conducting the survey.   Just make sure you heavily research the company in question before proceeding.

Remember, Craigslist is one of the many ways to find surveys.  To find out how you can find hundreds of surveys, be sure to check out my many posts related to surveys, some found here and here.  Everything I recommend and post is 100% legit, and I can assure you that it’s going to make you some cash.  As long as you have the mindset you won’t get rich, you won’t mind doing it.

That wraps it up for now.

As always, check out the hundreds of posts here as well as on my YouTube channel.  I continue to add even more guides, so continue to keep checking in.
