If you feel you’re the master of giving advice, did you know that there are companies online that will pay you to do so?

There aren’t many, but there are some options to consider.

If you like the idea of helping people out, offering your personal advice, then this is a post for you.  These companies won’t make you rich, but they can make you a few dollars on the side.  As long as you go in with that mindset, it can be an enjoyable side hustle.

As in all of my guides, I’m always 100% honest, only recommending honest and legitimate companies.  Everything you see here you can trust, you have my word on it.

With that being said, let’s explore the many companies online that pay you to give advice.

Get Paid to Give Advice

Just Answer

Just Answer is one I have mentioned many times before on the site.  The unique thing about Just Answer, however, is that you will need experience in the field you’re interested in.  For example, you can’t tell people how to fix a car if you’re not a certified mechanic.

Out of all the options I mention, this is the one with the most earning potential, with some people earning more than $5 to $25+ per answer given.  The company says you can earn up to $7.000 per month.  Of course, it will depend on which field you’re in.  Experts have offered more than 16 million questions and this number continues to grow.

If interested, they ask that you apply with your licenses/certifications as well as consent to a background check.  Once admitted, you can start to ask questions about your expertise immediately.

PrestoExperts

PrestoExperts has more than 30,000 registered experts in more than 600 categories, including one of its more popular — tutoring.  It’s a website that offers immediate help from top talented experts in any matter.  If someone has a question on a topic, they can contact you via email, chat or even by phone.  It’s up to you how you want to be contacted, however.

Take a look at the site and the categories available to see if you’re comfortable enough to offer your advice.

When you sign up, you will be asked to create a profile, where you will list your qualifications, specialties as well as any other information your clients should know about you.  You can also let them know how you want to connect.  Picture it as a resume of sorts.

Whenever you’re online, an icon will appear, which will let you know you’re available to help.  Signing up is free and can be done via the link below.

Quora

Quora, one of the internet’s largest question/answer sites, offers a partner program where you can get paid to answer questions.

The great thing about this site is that someone can ask a question on just about any topic.  As long as you have the knowledge to answer the question, you can get rewarded for doing so.

Now, the only downfall is that you need to receive an invite to start getting paid, but as long as you’re an active contributor and you provide in-depth, honest answers, it shouldn’t be hard to get one.

Experts 123

Experts 123 reminds me a lot of Just Answer, only that it isn’t as popular.  However, it doesn’t mean you should at least consider checking it out.

The biggest difference is that people can ask questions in almost any category, from cooking to even beauty advice.  If you feel you’re an expert in something, then you may want to consider signing up.  It may be ideal if you don’t have certifications and/or don’t qualify for Just Answer.

To get started, the link below will take you directly to the application page.

LiveAdvice

As long as you’re a professional giving advice in areas such as personal finance, life coaching, technology or fitness, then you can be a fit for the program.

On this website, you will create a listing with a description of your services.  It only takes a few minutes and it’s completely free to do so.  Within this listing, you get to create your rates as well as the hours you’re available to work.  Whenever someone wants to reach out to you, and it’s during your active call hours, then they can call you via a special button you can put on your website.

Once your listing is active, the company handles the billing as well as your customer’s contact history.

Help Owl

Help Owl is a bit different in that you can trade the points you earn from answering questions in exchange for prizes, all of which are at random.

Here, anyone can answer questions in just about any category.  As long as you provide an in-depth, correct answer, then you can receive points in doing so.

Take a glance at the site before signing up as you can see what people are asking.  This can give you a better idea as to what to expect if you were to sign up.  It’s 100% free to join.

Weegy

You won’t make money with Weegy, per se, but like Help Owl, the company does reward its top experts.  You just have to be one of the top users.

Weegy is another site, where visitors can ask anything on just about any topic, but the difference here is that they have an AI-enabled chat that attempts to provide the answer automatically.  As long as you have the answers, you can provide them and earn points in doing so.

Live experts are always needed, and you can find out more information via the link below.

Create a Blog

This option can take some time, but it’s one to consider if you want to write out your thoughts rather than help someone directly.  If you think about it, a blog is about helping people, right?

And, of course, you can make a lot of money with blogging, from inserting advertisements to promoting products via affiliate marketing.  There’s a lot of money to be made, no matter what niche you consider.  Plus, it doesn’t take much to get started.  Hosting and a domain can be less than $20 to get up and running.

Unfortunately, I can’t teach you how to blog in a little snippet.  Instead, as I always do, I like to direct you to some amazing free resources that can help get you started.  This includes Income School, Authority Hacker, Backlinko, Quick Sprout and the Ahrefs Blog.

From creating articles to offering an online coaching business of sorts, there are a lot of ideas to consider.

Take a look at those websites and start studying.  The concept is quite simple but it’s going to take some work.  As long as you have patience and some dedication, there’s no reason you can’t thrive.

Create a YouTube Channel

If you hate the idea of writing, that’s fine, as you can always consider a YouTube channel.  The nice thing about this option is that you don’t have to create a website nor do you need to invest any of your money.

Again, think of a topic you want to offer advice on and start creating videos.

A lot of your money can come via YouTube ads implemented into your videos, but this won’t come until you reach 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 views.  Again, patience is required.

There are a ton of videos on YouTube specifically that teach you how to get started.  I don’t have a favorite, per se, but I just recommend you start watching as many videos as you can to get an idea as to how to succeed.  Just be wary of purchasing any premium courses as oftentimes, it’s not worth your time or investment.

Consider Fiverr

There are a ton of Fiverr listings, where professionals are willing to offer their advice for a fee.  And, this can be in any category.

No matter what your skill may be, check out the site to see what kind of competition you may be up against.  Pay attention to what people are charging as well as how many reviews they are getting, as this can give you an indicator as to how popular they may be.  It can also give you ideas if you were to consider this route.

If doing this, it will take some time to see your first sale, but it will greatly depend on your experience and how you set up your profile.  Like a resume, you will have to sell yourself as to why someone should hire you.

Signing up is 100% free but Fiverr will take a small fee from every sale you make.

Final Thoughts

Sadly, there aren’t a whole lot of companies that will pay you to give out advice.  If you have the education and certifications, then a few can work for you.  Other than that, you may be out of luck.

However, if you have the drive and you’re willing to wait sometime before you see success, you could always start a YouTube channel or even a website to offer your advice to others.  Creating content on a topic you love, such as the one you’re reading now, can often draw in visitors that may have a question for you.  It’s up to you whether or not you would want to charge people for an answer.  Sometimes, the revenue you earn through ads and affiliate marketing can be more than enough.

That’s going to do it for now.

As always, if I’m missing any options or you want to comment on what I have noted, you’re more than welcome to do so in the comments below.  Thanks for stopping by.
