If you enjoy talking with people on the phone and you don’t mind making a phone call, there are quite a few options out there that can earn you a few extra bucks, maybe even a part/full-time income. Some sales jobs can pay up to six figures if you’re good enough.
In this post, I wanted to talk about the many companies and websites that will pay you to make a phone call, not receive one. Whether it’s a full-time job or a gig where you can work when you want, I try to cover all bases.
There are quite a few, so grab a cup of coffee and be prepared to do a lot of research! I will provide links to every opportunity in the descriptions below.
Get Paid Online to Make Phone Calls
There are so many companies online that are always hiring people to work online, but the problem is that some of these companies only hire once in a while. While I would love to list all of these companies, I just don’t have the manpower to do so.
This is where FlexJobs can come into the picture.
This premium job search engine combs through almost every job listing known to man right now and breaks down the at-home job opportunities only. Whether you want to work 15 hours a week or you have no experience, I promise you that there’s something for you. Plus, every job you see is a remote opportunity, simply meaning there’s no commute.
Much like Indeed and SimplyHired, FlexJobs works in the same way, only that they list remote job opportunities only.
Now, the website does cost a few dollars a month, but this fee is used to ensure that everything you see on their job board is 100% legitimate. You won’t find any get quick rich scheme or some junk product that is all hot air. Every job you see can make you money weekly, and you can always cancel once you find a job.

According to the official website, ARC Consulting is always on the lookout for “exceptional people to represent their company.”
Their company provides telephone mystery shopping, customer care surveys and competitor analysis calls, all of which are conducted via their team of independent contractors.
If you’re interested, it appears you would work a variety of hours and schedules, many of which happen during the weekend and evening. If you’re a parent, student, disabled adult or even grandparent looking for a few extra dollars, then feel you could benefit from this opportunity.

All Blue Zebra employees work from home as they are a virtual appointment setting service. If you were to get approved, all you will be asked to do is make appointments as well as cold call other companies to try and convince them to meet with a business representative.
If you don’t mind the thought of cold calling or even making appointments for others, then you can apply via the link below. The company asks that you fill out an application as well as attach your resume.
Unlike a lot of these options that don’t require experience, they do ask that you have at least five years of cold calling experience as well as proficiency in certain sale software. Other requirements are listed, all of which you can find via the link below.
Lastly, this isn’t a freelance opportunity, either, as the company does ask you to commit up to 40 hours a week, generally 8 a.m. until 5 p.m, Monday through Friday.

If you have no experience and are at least 18+ years old, then this is one of the best options on this list as you can get started pretty fast. Plus, it’s flexible, meaning you can work whenever you choose to do so. It’s not considered to be part-time or full-time employment. Rather, as a way to make a few dollars here and there.
Here’s how CallCenterQA works…
For every call you make, the company will pay you a flat $5 for what’s known as a telephone mystery shop. They will give you all the information you need to do as well as what they need from you in order to get paid. In short, you will usually ask a few questions and then fill out a small feedback form after you’re done. It’s not that hard, I promise you that and will only take about five to ten minutes of your time. For example, when I did a similar job with a different company, I was asked to call a local apartment complex and ask a few questions such as availability, etc.
Payment is sent out once a week via PayPal, and I read quite a few good reviews online, so you should be in good hands here.
To apply for the job, all they ask is that you complete the following form via the link below and wait for a response. Again, no experience is required nor is a background check, making for a great opportunity for almost everyone.

I have mentioned Amazon MTURK a million times, particularly in my closed captioning jobs and get paid to type posts. It’s a great platform where you can choose to work whenever you want. Just log in and pick out the tasks of interest.
In short, you can complete a variety of tasks, most of which only takes seconds to do. While they only pay $0.01 to $0.25 each, they do add up as you get the hang of the system. Some people do make $1,000 a month working part-time.
As it could take me thousands of words to explain how it works, I recommend you check out the highly rated book, Side Hustle From Home: How To Make Money Online With Amazon Mechanical Turk. In this book, he explains everything you need to do know as to how to become profitable. It does take a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, you can make a nice chunk of change.
Anyways, once you get signed up with the platform, simply search for “call” in the search box to see if anyone is looking for people to call someone/something for one reason or another.
As you can see from my screenshot, there was one option available, but it didn’t pay that much, so I personally wouldn’t do it.
Nonetheless, there are always some jobs, some of which pay crap while others pay pretty decent. It’s really up to you to decide which option will work best for you.

If you don’t mind the idea of cold calling on your own time and making a hefty commission if you become good at it, then this company could be one to consider.
With Upcall, you will make calls for a variety of companies and can earn hefty bonuses and tips from the campaigners you work with. Again, it’s ideal only if you like hard selling strangers on the phone.
According to the official website, applying only takes five minutes, and most people are approved within a few days. Then, after you’re approved, you can immediately start training and cold calling at your own pace.
You just need a desktop with a computer speaker and microphone as well as be available during business hours. They are only open to US-based callers at this time.

I did mention FlexJobs prior, but if you don’t have the money to pay for a premium service, I understand.
Similar to that of FlexJobs, the Working Solutions jobs board can find multiple remote opportunities for you, many of which require you to make phone calls from home. There aren’t as many jobs as FlexJobs posted on this website, but usually, there are quite a few that may pique your interest.
Follow the link below to see what kind of jobs are active as of today. Again, it works no differently than a job board.
If you’re interested, click on the link inside the job description for more information as well as how to apply.

This company works seasonally, so you won’t always see a job opening. However, no matter what time of year you click on the link, they will let you know when the next survey begins.
Operating in the real estate industry, the company needs people to make calls, conducting a survey, usually asking simple questions about the apartments. It’s just like mystery shopping in a way.
Even if you land the gig, it only lasts about eight weeks, but they may hire you again for future work.

In short, they are a mystery shopping company that lets you perform a variety of jobs at your own leisure, from visiting a store in person to calling over the phone. They are quite big and have a steady supply of jobs.
Primarily dealing in the healthcare industry, it will be your job to call various healthcare companies and evaluate how the customer service treats you. In the end, you will submit a detailed report, with the average job taking up to 20 minutes to complete. Reports say you can make up to $15+ a job.

Reality Based Group
The Reality Based Group offers a variety of mystery shopping jobs, including a ton of calling jobs as well.
Your role in this particular situation, like many of the many jobs I mention, is to call a company on a list, ask a few questions and report back as to the things they said. You will always have a checklist as to what you should look out for as well as what you should ask before the phone call even begins.
Most jobs pay a few dollars each and allow you to work whenever you please.

This is another mystery shopping like gig, where you will be asked to use your own phone to conduct calls and ask questions according to the job description. You are asked to have an unlimited phone plan as they will not reimburse your charges.
This opportunity should only be looked at as a temporary gig as they tend to offer a select number of jobs here and there.

SecretShopper.com is one of the biggest companies in the mystery shopping industry, offering jobs in almost every industry, including making telephone calls and even buying beer.
Like a few of the mystery shopping companies I already mentioned, this one works no differently.
You will choose from a list of jobs, select the one of interest and follow the prompts to get paid. As they work with hundreds of companies, you may be asked to call an apartment complex, car dealership or even a restaurant to see how the employees act over the phone. It’s quite diverse, so it will keep you busy.
If you want to work whenever you want at your own pace, then this option is, by far, one of the best options on the list.

Confero is another large mystery shopping company that offers a ton of at-home calling jobs that you can work at your own pace.
In using their platform, calls can be recorded or non-recorded, but you will need to ask a series of questions as well as write a report in the end to ensure you get paid. It’s not that hard, trust me on that one.
Another great option if you like the idea of mystery shopping and don’t mind working at your own pace.

If you’re interested in making calls and earning money, it can be done, but just let it be known that a lot of your options are very limited. The more companies you sign up with, however, the greater your job pool can increase. Be sure to sign up as many as you can. If you want to make a living in doing it, it’s probably best to have a few on call.
Most of the companies I mention let you start almost immediately once you get approved, so I highly recommend you fill out an application and wait for a response. It only takes a few minutes. Once approved, you can then start to work immediately, but just make sure you follow the directions to ensure you get paid. All of these companies will let you know what they want in their phone calls.
In the end, start researching these companies in depth and find the ones that fit your lifestyle. Hopefully, in doing so, you can find one that meets your financial goals and makes you the money you envisioned.
As always, you’re more than welcome to comment on the companies I mentioned and/or recommend some if I did miss some.
