Get Paid to Post Ads: 7 Strategies That Work

Some of the links may be from a sponsor. Advertising Disclosure

In my quest to find the many ways to make money, one method that I didn’t know much about relied in posting ads and getting paid in doing so.

I have seen the ads before, claiming that you could make $100 per day just posting ads, but is it really true?

At first, it sounded too good to be true, but upon further review, it actually appeared to be a money-making venture as long as you knew what you were doing.  $100 per day is possible, but it will take some work.

Yes, there are a lot of scams, as with any way to make money, in which I talk about later in this post, but just let it be known that there are legitimate ways to make money if you like the idea.  Just keep in mind that it does take a lot of work and patience.

So, in today’s post, I wanted to talk about the many strategies/websites you can use if you like the idea of posting ads in a non-spammy way and getting paid for doing so.

Let’s begin!

NOTE:  These methods won’t make you money instantly in most cases.  Please keep this in mind.

How to Get Paid to Posting Ads

Refer People via Research Companies

A lot of the methods I’m about to talk about do require quite a bit of work, but if you want an option that doesn’t take as much effort, then you may want to look into referring people to research companies.

Now, you’re probably wondering what the heck this has to do with posting ads and getting paid, but let me explain.

Basically, you’re going to want to sign up with some of the most legitimate research companies online that pay you to refer people to them.  Some of these options include…

(these are some of my favorites, but there are many more options than this)

Once you create an account and activate it, you can then get a unique URL on your dashboard which ties back to your account.  Any time someone clicks on your link, you get paid, and in some cases, you continue to get paid as your referrals use your system.

Let’s take Swagbucks, for instance.

For every referral you send them, they will give you 300 SB, equivalent to $3 for every 300 SB your referral earns.  Not only that, you will earn 10% of what they earn FOR LIFE.  If your referral earns $50 a month, that’s $5 for you.  It’s a great way to earn a decent passive income.

With that special URL, you will want to be creative and technically create an ad that you will post on Facebook, social media or even share with your friends.  Just make sure that you don’t spam it as it can get you banned.

I just recommend being creative and using social media in a non-spammy way.  There are a million ways to advertise, and unfortunately, I can’t explain all of the methods in one post.

Again, if you don’t want to put in much effort in the form of content, posting your referral links in an ad is technically a way to get paid to post ads.  It won’t be instant, but the money eventually can come in.

Build a Blog

Building a blog is easier said than done, but if you want to make hundreds or even thousands, it’s one of the best ways to technically get paid to post ads.

In short, let me explain how it works as building your own blog and monetizing it can take quite some time, but as long as you’re patient and persistent, it can pay off.

In the world of blogging, it revolves around a few simple fundamentals.

You will have to research the keywords people are searching for, create a blog post revolving the said keyword and optimize your blog post to hopefully make money from it.  In the online marketing world, this is known as affiliate marketing.

For example, a lot of the posts you see here often have links that compensate me if you were to click them or even purchase something.  Albeit it’s not much, I’m technically getting paid to post ads, right?  If 100 people click, that’s a potential $50-$100+.  Lots of factors go into play, so it’s hard to define how much each click is worth.

Aside from clickable ads, some companies may even pay you to post a sponsored post, often promoting their product.

In the world of blogging, let it be known that there are a TON of ways to make money.

As long as you’re not spammy and intertwine your ads in a natural ways, this is by far the best way to get paid to post ads, I promise you.

Of course, there’s so much more to creating a blog than what I described, so I do recommend you check out a few of these lower-cost eBooks on Amazon.

Please, Never EVER pay hundreds of dollars for courses as I can assure you that you can find everything you’re looking for online for free or even a few bucks.  I learned it all without paying a cent and feel I have done quite well.

You can always email me if you need help as I’m always happy to answer questions or at least point you in the right direction!

YouTube

Besides creating a blog, another fantastic way to make money is via YouTube.

Yes, just like a blog/website, it will take some work, but once you build your audience, it’s one of the best ways to make money in your sleep.

Now, of course, it’s much easier said than done, but like social media, you can make money via posting ads, either in your videos or even in your YouTube description.  It really depends on the advertiser you’re working with.

Even if you don’t want to seek out advertisers, YouTube allows you to monetize your channel as long as you have at least 4,000+ watch hours in the past 12 months and have at least 1,000 subscribers.  The numbers sound like a lot, but honestly, as long as you create intriguing content, it isn’t so hard.

Just activate your ads and YouTube does the rest.  In a way, you’re getting paid to post ads, right?

I haven’t dabbled much with YouTube, but may in the future, so I will save that for another time.

In the meantime, I do recommend some of these awesome low-cost eBooks I did find on Amazon that teach you the ins and outs of the business as talking YouTube itself deserves its own post.

Again, it will take some time, but it’s definitely one of the better ways to earn money if you like the idea of making money posting ads.

Build a Following with Social Media

Aside from creating a website and posting ads inside of your blog content, another great way to get paid to technically post ads is via social media.

Now, you’re going to need a following in order to make money or even have a brand contact you, but if you feel you have the energy to build a following or maybe you already have a following right now, it can be done.

Today, Instagram seems to be the hot seller, but as you already know, technology changes fast, so it may be obsolete five years from now.

Now, I will be honest.

I don’t focus much on social media, but I did find a lot of eBooks on Amazon for less than a few dollars, with some being free if you’re part of the Kindle Unlimited program.  I highly encourage you to read some of these as it will teach you the ropes to build a massive following in the upcoming weeks.

Ultimately, once you feel you have the following, consider reaching out to third-party companies, such as IZEA, that can help connect you with advertisers willing to pay you to post ads on most social media networks.

But, if you’re just interested in one network, then you may want to reach out to a company that only specializes with that particular brand.

For example, if you’re only interested in Instagram, then influenz.com and Upfluence may be a company to check out.  To qualify, you need at least 5,000 followers and the company will pay you at least $10+ per post.  But, as your following grows, you can earn much more.

As for Pinterest, you could consider Loop88.com to start receiving offers.  There are a lot of companies out there, and usually, a simple Google search can yield some decent results.

Much like blogging, becoming an influencer is much harder than it seems, but as always, I want to include as many options as possible if you like the idea of posting ads to get paid.

Start a Facebook Group

This one definitely ties into the social media angle, but I wanted to include it as its own section as you can make quite a bit if you know what you’re doing.

I’m sure you’re familiar with Facebook and maybe even the groups you can join, but did you know that you can make money with them?

Again, this isn’t a get rich type scheme, but let me explain how it works.

What you’re going to want to do is create a group that is of interest to you.  This can be anything.  Video games, movies or something you’re passionate about.  The goal here is to make it as specific as possible so that you have a targeted audience.

Then, as you build your group and have a great engagement rate, you can actually reach out to advertisers or sometimes, they will reach out to you.

Let me give you an example.

I know of someone who ran a local city Facebook group page.   It was a city he lived in with about 50,000 people, but I swear his group had half the town.

Well, as his group grew, local businesses would come to him and ask if he could post an ad, and in exchange for doing so, he would make $25, $50 or even $100+ plus a gift card.

Again, it will take some work, but a Facebook group is a fantastic way to make money while posting an ad.

Create a Fiverr Listing to Sell Your Services

Fiverr is one of my favorite selling platforms if you want to reach a massive audience and offer your services.

And, honestly, Fiverr lets you post just about any service on the platform, including ad posting opportunities.

This could be a great opportunity for you if you don’t mind offering your services to others and helping them post ads on other websites.  While you won’t make much, maybe $5 to $10, it could add up if you become quite fast at it.

For example, glancing at other freelancers on the website as I write this, I found a few people who are willing to post ads on multiple classified ad websites for $5+.  This was just one example, however.

It appears most of the highest-rated sellers post ads on major classified websites, so if you were going to create a listing, I would at least focus in this vertical to snag some clients.  If you think about it, some people might pay you to post their classified on 40+ websites.

Like most of these methods, building a client base on Fiverr will take work, but as long as you offer good work and know how to market yourself, you can see a lot of success with it.

Also keep in mind that Fiverr isn’t the only platform in town as there are many alternatives, most of which I wrote about in a post in the past.  Take a look at some of these and consider either bidding on jobs and/or creating a seller profile.

Try Upwork to Find These Jobs

Upwork works much differently than Fiverr as you can actually apply to the jobs rather than wait for the jobs to come to you.

If you’re unfamiliar with it, it’s basically the internet’s largest freelancer portal, where customers and freelancers alike can connect with one another.  A customer can post a job and then wait for freelancers to bid on it with their rate.  Working just like eBay, there’s also a feedback system, letting people know about your ratings, what kind of work you do as well as how much work you have done on the platform.

And, even if you don’t have an account, you can have one up and running in minutes.  You can also look at the jobs before you consider signing up as well.

If you like the idea of posting ads, consider searching the jobs on Upwork for that very keyword.

For example, when I did it, I found a lot of people looking for virtual assistants who were willing to post ads on various websites.  One real estate agent, for instance, wanted someone who was willing to post ads on Facebook and Craigslist for up to 10 hours a week.

It’s worth checking out, especially if you’re looking for a smaller part-time job.

Again, Upwork isn’t the only freelancer-like website out there, so I do encourage you to check out these alternatives to find additional job opportunities.

Watch out for Scams (and how they work)

All of the methods I mention above are 100% legit.

And, while you’re not going to make money right now, you can if you put some effort into it.  This can be said with just about any money making venture online.  You have to put something in to get something out of it.

Now, in the world of “making money posting ads,” you’re going to find a lot of scams, so I don’t want you to fall for them.

These job descriptions usually state that you need to pay a small membership fee to get your kit, sometimes much as $100, and in return, this is what you will usually get…

Once you receive your kit, it will tell you that you can make money doing the same thing they did.  Post an ad on classified websites and ask for a “starter kit” fee.  You get money, you send the same information and the next person attempts to make money as well.

All in all, you’re just apart of an illegal pyramid scheme.

In the end, unless you’re buying one of the many legitimate eBooks I mentioned above, never ever pay for a membership kit or anything for that matter as all legitimate opportunities will be found online at no cost.

Final Thoughts

Yes, you can make money posting ads online, but as you can see, it’s going to take some work and a lot of patience.  The money will not come instantly.

Don’t expect success overnight, but if you can build an audience or even clientele base, there’s no reason you can’t make a few extra dollars or even make a living.

You never know.

In the end, how much you make will greatly rely on how much effort you put into your business.

If you want to make money relatively quickly, I would recommend searching Upwork or Fiverr, but if you want to make the most out of your ad posting ventures, then social media and/or creating a blog is the way to go.

In the money-making world, money never comes easy, so if you think you can just jump in, post some ads, and make some cash, unfortunately, this isn’t going to be the case.
