Green Panthera Review and Why It’s Not the Greatest

Green Panthera is one of the many websites that pay you to complete surveys.  It’s one of the more popular options because it works with so many countries, aside from the United States.

If you’re looking for a way to make a few dollars on the side, then Green Panthera may be ideal; however, in some circumstances, it may not.  I’m about to explain in this review.

As in all of my reviews, I remain non-biased, only promoting what I feel is worth your time.

Signing Up

To sign up for an account, the company asks for simple information such as your name and email, and that’s it.  You can see what the registration process looks like here…

And, upon confirming your e-mail address, Green Panthera will ask you to fill out your account profile in its entirety; however, this isn’t mandatory.  Research companies will do this so that they can send you targeted surveys since they will know more about your demographics.

While you can skip out on this part, I highly advise that you sign up for it to maximize your earnings on the website and avoid receiving survey invites you don’t qualify for.  This can be said about any research company, however.

When you do fill out your profile in its entirety, they will immediately credit you with a $2 sign-up bonus.

The nice thing about Green Panthera is that it’s open in many countries, aside from the U.S.   You only need 18+ to join.

Earning Money with Green Panthera

Surveys

Mostly, Green Panthera focuses on surveys, and like the so many websites I have reviewed in the past, they work with third-party providers, particularly Survey Sampling International and Peanut Labs.  While there’s nothing wrong with this, you’re just not going to find anything unique here.

On your dashboard, your surveys section will look something like this…

The thing I didn’t like about the surveys is that it says you can earn “up to” a certain amount and not a fixed amount like so many sites post.  This can make it confusing as you won’t be able to tell how much you can earn.

If you were to click on any of the “up to” survey links, it will take you to a third party, where you will learn more about what the survey may pay.

The positive, though, is that you will almost always find a survey invite, meaning an almost endless earning opportunity.  Just remember to complete your profile so that you can avoid disqualifications.

What do these surveys pay?

As you can see on the dashboard screenshot, most surveys will range anywhere from $0.50 to $1, on average, and this tends to be the industry average.  Plan on investing about five to 15 minutes of your time.

Keep in mind that not all survey completions will post to your account immediately, as you will have to wait for the research company that created the survey in the first place to approve it.  In general, you should see your account credit within 48 hours.

Offer walls

Aside from the surveys, you can also earn in the OfferWall section, which, like many sites I review, allows you to complete offers for cash.  This can be anything from signing up for an email newsletter to signing up for a free trial.

With these offers, just make sure you always read the fine print to make sure you get credited as you often have to walk through a certain number of steps to get approved.

Again, like the surveys, you’re only working with third-party offer walls, so if you do find an offer you like, be sure to compare the payout rate on other sites because there can often be differences.

Online shopping

Another option I wanted to mention is the online shopping portal.  It’s not a great way to earn since you have to shop, and you earn cash back based on how much you earn, but I just wanted to note it here because it’s another way to earn.

Here, you can earn a certain amount of cash back when you shop with the online providers seen on the list, but when I looked at the list, there were maybe 20~ retailers.  It wasn’t much at all.

Cash back portals are awesome only if you’re working with the right provider.  Green Panthera isn’t one of them.

Cashing Out with Rewards

To cash out, you need at least $30, which is one of the highest thresholds on the market.  In fact, I would say it falls in the top three.

At the moment, the company only pays out via PayPal and the withdrawal process, on average, can take “several” days, according to the website.  Usually, this can be about three to five days to see your money credit to your PayPal account.  This is industry standard, but I usually like to see payouts within 48 hours.

PayPal is the only option, and unfortunately, there are no gift card options, etc.

The Pros:

  • $2 sign-up bonus after completing profile
  • open to many countries

The Cons:

  • only PayPal payout option (con to some)
  • works with offer wall providers
  • very high reward cash out threshold
  • lousy cash back portal
  • customer service is lacking
  • hard to determine what some surveys pay

Final Thoughts

5/10In the end, Green Panthera is meh.  Their survey section is confusing and the offers are very limited.  I just don’t like that you don’t what you’re going to make and there’s nothing unique here.  I want to know how long a survey takes and what I’m going to make without having to jump through a lot of hoops.

While the company is legitimate and they will pay, I just don’t feel it’s worth your time.  I have read countless reviews that it took some people months before they could hit the minimum threshold.  That’s a long time.

If you’re going to use a site such as this, you’re much better off using a site, such as Superpay.me, for example, that has many more offers and a lower threshold.  $30 is just way too much for a site such as this.  You’re much better off finding a survey company that has a threshold that’s $5 or less.

No matter what survey site you use, you will never make a ton of money, but it is possible to earn $20 to $40 a week with minimal effort.  Can you make it here?  Maybe, but I think it will be much easier elsewhere.

That’s going to do it for now.

As always, feel free to talk about Green Panthera in the comments below.
