The Highest Paying Plasma Donation Centers List

Some of the links may be from a sponsor. Advertising Disclosure

In the past, I wrote a simple plasma guide, talking about how the process works as well as how much you could make.  What I didn’t do, however, is talk about some of the highest paying plasma donation centers.  Yes, not all plasma donation centers are created equally.  If you’re going to donate plasma, you will want to make sure you’re getting top dollar, right?

In today’s post, I wanted to talk about the highest paying plasma donation centers in the United States.  Some are franchises, with hundreds of locations scattered throughout the United States, whereas some may be in a limited geographical region.  I will be sure to talk about where each center is located so that you can take advantage of one near you.  I tried to focus on the bigger names.

If you like the idea of donating plasma and earning up to $400+ per month, then these centers may be something to consider.  As long as you’re not fearful of needles and can spare an hour of your day, it’s one of the best ways to make money on the side.

Now, I’m not going to dive into how plasma donation works in depth as I have already covered this topic, so if you want to learn more about how the process works, you can refer to that guide.  In this post, I’m going to talk about the highest paying plasma donation centers only.

Qualifications

But, first things first, let me quickly mention who can donate as not everyone can qualify.  While all centers have their qualifications, I have found that most centers look for the following:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • weigh at least 110 pounds
  • have a valid ID and address
  • be in good health
  • have no tattoos or piercings in the last four to six months

Okay, so with all of that out of the way, let’s dive and check out the many higher paying plasma donation centers in the United States today.

Highest Paying Plasma Donation Centers

NOTE:  Almost all plasma centers won’t pay you in cash; rather, they will load your funds onto a pre-loaded Visa card.  Also, due to the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) standards and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, you can only donate plasma twice in a seven-day period.

CSL Plasma

Earning Potential: up to $400/mo with $20-$40/visit average (first-time donors can take advantage of bonuses)

This is one of the biggest plasma centers on the list with hundreds of locations spread across the United States.  CSL Plasma states that fees do vary by location, but “eligible and qualified” donors can earn up to $400 per month.  If choosing CSL Plasma as your plasma donation center, be sure to check out the official website as they offer have bonus coupons available for first-time donors.  Once you start donating, they have a loyalty program that lets you receive points to earn even more.

BPL Plasma

Earning Potential: up to $20 to $60/visit (first-time donors will be on the higher end with bonuses)

Another franchise with locations in more than 10+ states, BPL Plasma, is said to pay $20 to $60 per visit, according to a flyer I found.  Like the many I note here, they also offer a bonus if you’re a first-time donor.  The company has been in business for more than 25+ years and is FDA regulated.

BioLife Plasma Services

Earning Potential: up to $20 to $40/visit

BioLife Plasma Services is one of the many plasma centers that don’t list their payouts online, but in doing a little research, I found out that they pay about $20 to $30 per visit, averaging to about $60 a week.   The more you go, the more you can earn per visit it seems.  This seems to be sub-standard for the industry.  At the time of writing this, they were offering $600 for your first eight donations if you printed out the coupon on the website.  BioLife seems to be very popular in the college student community.

Biotest Plasma

Earning Potential: up to $40 to $80/visit (first-time donors will be on the higher end with coupons)

According to a Google ad I saw, Biotest Plasma noted that you could make up to $600 in your first month.  In researching this, it appeared I would have to download a coupon and then bring it to a local Biotest Plasma center to qualify.  After eight donations, I could earn a total of $600, all with varying payouts on each visit, usually ranging from $70 to $80 per visit for first-time donors.  If going for the first time, be sure to look for this coupon, either via a search or on the official website linked below.

Grifols

Earning Potential: up to $200/mo ($40-$65/visit)

Grifols is more of an “umbrella” of sorts, with hundreds of locations throughout the United States.  Some of their more popular centers go by the name of Biomat USA or Talecris Plasma Resources, to name a few.  The fees do vary from center to center, but earning up to $200 per month is possible with multiple visits.  As the locations do vary, do head to the official locator tool linked below and call a local center to see what fees they are paying at the time.

Octapharma Plasma

Earning Potential: up to $400/mo ($20-$40 per visit)

When I was writing this guide, Octapharma Plasma was offering a $400 bonus to first-time donors, making it one of the higher payouts on the list for first timers.  After that bonus, however, they don’t tell you how much you can make.  According to some research online, however, it appeared your donation range would drop to $20 to $40+ per donation, with the fee greatly dependent upon the location you choose and how much you donate.  This seems to be average among the competitors on this list.  Octapharma Plasma is another popular plasma center operation in more than 25+ states.

  • States:  AL, AZ, AK, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MI, MN, MS, MO, NE, NV, NJ, NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, Wi

Interstate Blood Bank

Earning Potential: up to $300/mo ($20-$50 per visit)

Glancing at the Interstate Blood Bank website, they don’t state how much you can make.  Instead, they tell you to contact a local donor center to see what you can potentially make.  However, in my research online, it seems as if payments were in the $20 to $50 per donation range, with higher payments going toward first-time donors.  Plan on earning up to $300 per month if you go about twice a week.

Immunotek

Earning Potential: up to $300/mo ($30-$50 per visit)

Immunotek is said to be the global leader in plasma supply and are always looking for new donors.  Looking at the location map, they are prominently located on the east coast.  It’s another company that doesn’t tell you what you can make, but they do note that your funds are loaded onto a pre-loaded Visa card.  According to sources online, it seemed that first-time donors would receive about $60 for the first five donations.

KEDPLASMA

Earning Potential: up to $300/mo ($40-$50 per visit)

KEDPLASMA is mainly found in the South, said to offer up to $75 per donation.  According to one Reddit thread I found in a Google search, you could expect to make $350 over your first five visits and then $40 or $50~ per visit thereafter.  They seem to have a great reputation and pay some of the higher rates in the plasma donation center industry.  KEDPLASMA does have a rewards program and will reward you for any friend you refer.

  • States:  AL, FL, GA, LA, NC, NE, OH, SC, TX

B Positive Plasma

Earning Potential: up to $500/mo

Right on the official website, B Positive Plasma states that you can make up to $500 per month if you donate twice a week.  Payments are made on a reloadable Visa card.  As long as you live within 50 miles of a center and are in good health, you more than likely qualify.  You can find more information on how to become a donor via the official link below.

GCAM Plasma

Earning Potential: up to $240/mo ($25-$30 per donation)

As a plasma donor with GCAM, you can earn more than just cash.  You can earn the chance to win prizes as well via their unique reward program.  According to the site, you can expect to make $25 to $30 per donation, with the option to donate up to twice a week.

TIP:  Use DonatingPlasma.org to Find Even More Options

I mentioned some of the bigger options above, but these aren’t your only choices as there are a ton of local plasma centers located throughout the United States.  As it would be hard for me to list all of them in the United States, DonatingPlasma.org makes it easier for you to find a center near you.

Before going to a center, however, if you do find on the list, be sure to research a pinch further and see what they pay.  For instance, searching for “How much does X pay for donors?” could yield some results.  You will want to make sure they offer an aggressive payment.

Generally, you will want to see a first-time bonus of sorts, usually in the $40 to $50 per donation range and about $30~ on average after.  If you live in a bigger city with multiple locations, then consider taking advantage of the first-time donor bonuses to make even more.

Final Thoughts

If you want to donate plasma, you can plan on making at least $50 as a first-time donor and about $20 to $40 thereon after.  Always try to find a first-time donor coupon, I can’t stress this enough!

Seeing you can donate up to twice a week on average, you could easily make $300+ a week only committing to about two to three hours a week.  If we break that down to about 12 hours a month, that’s about $25 per hour to sit there and let them jab a needle in you.  It’s a great way to make cash and help the medical community.

For now, take a gander at the many of the highest paying plasma donation centers in the United States.  These are some of the bigger centers that tend to pay out the most.  Plus, don’t forget to use the DonatingPlasma.org or even Google, using search terms like “highest paying plasma donation centers near me” to find centers as well.  There are a lot of centers out there.

As always, if I’m missing any plasma centers and/or you have something to add, you’re more than welcome to add your comments in the section below.
