MyClearOpinion is a survey site where your answers earn you rewards. Originally launched in 2007 as Building Materials Talk Panel, it has evolved into a broader survey platform. Your opinions here are not just heard, but they make an impact for advertisers.
It’s a good option if you’re cool with getting gift cards for your effort. As with most survey sites, it’s not a quick way to make money, but it could be a way to make a few dollars on the side. The opportunities to earn are somewhat limited, so patience is key.
Yes, MyClearOpinion is legit. They really do pay you for your survey responses. But just because it’s legitimate doesn’t always mean it’s the best use of your time. In this review, I’ll lay out everything you need to know about MyClearOpinion, helping you decide if it’s a good fit for you. As always, everything I note is 100% legit.
Let’s begin!
Joining MyClearOpinion
If you’re thinking about signing up for MyClearOpinion, there’s something important you should know. During the sign-up process, they will ask you to select your country from a long list. This might make you think that the site is available globally, but that’s not the case. MyClearOpinion is only open to residents of the United States, U.S. Territories, and Canada. Plus, you need to be at least 18 years old to join their panel.
Joining is pretty straightforward.
Just hit the “Join Now” button on the main website to start the process.
When I registered, it was a quick process, taking no more than 10 minutes to complete their initial survey. After that, you will get a confirmation email. Click the “Confirm Email” button in that email, and you’re good to go. Once you’re all set up, you can start taking the surveys.
As with all survey panels, it is 100% free to join.
Taking Surveys with MyClearOpinion
At MyClearOpinion.com, the only way to earn is through paid surveys. This is great because it makes earning rewards straightforward. However, it also means that if no surveys are available, you won’t earn anything.
As a member, when you sign in and hit the “Surveys” tab, you should come across three types of surveys, and I will talk about what each one entails.
Firstly, there are “Available Surveys” and “Diary Surveys.” They are pretty similar, but Diary Surveys have a unique twist, as they are spread over several days, just like entries in a diary. It’s a different way to share your opinions over time.
Then you have “Profiler Surveys.” These are about getting to know you better. While they don’t usually offer rewards, they are important for qualifying for more surveys down the line. These types of surveys are very common in the survey world, as the advertisers want to get to know you better. The more they know you, the more targeted the surveys can be. This simply means fewer disqualifications.
Once you sign up, MyClearOpinion will email you when surveys that fit your profile are ready. So, because of this, there’s no need to constantly check the site. Just keep an eye on your inbox. However, if you want to, you can check your dashboard frequently to see if any invites are available.
Each survey invite, whether by email or on the dashboard, will tell you the points you will earn and how long it will take. Before taking a survey, you will go through a screening process with a few questions. If you fit the demographics, you will move on to the main survey. If not, you will be disqualified and you can then just jump to the next available one.
You Can Win with Prize Draws
If you do give a survey a shot but you do get disqualified, you’re not left empty-handed. Instead, you get a chance to win in their monthly prize draws. Every time you’re disqualified from a survey, you earn an entry to win a prize, usually which is a gift card.
The drawing process is simple. If you’re one of the lucky winners, they will send you an email. Plus, these prize draw rewards are separate from the CLEARcash™ rewards, which I will talk about next.
Now, keep in mind that these prize draws aren’t a surefire way to earn. They are more like a bonus opportunity, so it’s best not to bank on them too heavily. But hey, it does take the sting out of not qualifying for a survey, especially since that can happen quite often. At least you’re still in the running for something, which is pretty cool. Most survey sites just disqualify you and you will receive no reward.
Getting Paid
Let’s talk about how you get rewarded at MyClearOpinion. Every survey you complete earns you what’s referred to as CLEARcash points. Think of it as their own currency, where every 100 points are equal to $1.
Here’s what sets MyClearOpinion apart from other survey sites.
Usually, you need to accumulate a certain amount before you can redeem your rewards. But here, they do things differently. Your points are automatically redeemed at the beginning of each month for all the points you earned in the previous month. The whole process takes about 4 to 10 days.
So, how do you actually receive your rewards?
They are sent directly to your email by Virtual Rewards. You will get a link in the email to redeem a gift card for the amount you’ve earned. And, you will have options like Amazon, Best Buy, CVS and Home Depot gift cards, to name a few. Expect these rewards around the 8th~ of each new month.
There are ups and downs to this payment system.
The upside is that you don’t have to wait to hit a minimum threshold to redeem your rewards. The downside, however, is that you have to wait a month before you can enjoy your earnings.
If you’re someone who prefers quicker access to your survey earnings, there are other survey sites out there known for faster payouts. It might be worth exploring those for more immediate rewards.
Final Thoughts
MyClearOpinion is a legitimate survey site that rewards you for your input. There are some nice aspects to it, but it’s also got a few downsides that you might want to consider.
The nice thing about this platform is that you don’t have to worry about hitting a minimum amount to cash out because there’s no payout threshold. Payments are handled automatically, so that’s one less thing to fuss over. Plus, their support system is pretty solid, always a plus.
However, the opportunities to earn here are quite limited. Also, the site isn’t available everywhere, as it’s limited to a few countries. And keep in mind, you won’t be earning cold hard cash – it’s all about gift cards here.
If you’re cool with gift cards and have the patience for a site with fewer ways to earn, MyClearOpinion might work for you. Remember though, you’ll need to wait until the start of the next month to get your rewards.
In the end, you won’t make much, maybe a few dollars here and there. It’s not my favorite, but it’s not one to 100% write off as your demographic may see a few surveys. What I always recommend with some of these sites is that you should sign up and see where it takes you.
That’s going to do it for now.
