Panel Engage Research Panel Review: Should You Join?

Panel Engage allows you to share your ideas in exchange for rewards.  Yes, it’s one of the many survey/research companies on the internet.  They were founded in 2008 and have multiple offices throughout the world, including the United States and India.

And, yes, while the company is, indeed, 100% legitimate, we need to figure out if this particular research panel is worth your time.  That’s why I wanted to create this review.  Whenever I come across a company I have never heard of before, such as in this case, I often want to dig in deep to see if it’s worth it in the end.

So, whether you’re researching Panel Engage or maybe you’re looking for another survey panel, let’s take a gander and see if it’s worth your time.

Signing Up for Panel Engage

Signing up for Panel Engage is no different than any other survey company.

They will ask for basic personal information, such as your name, email, date of birth and even Linkedin profile.  Asking for this profile was odd to me, but seeing it’s a business-focused research panel, it appears they are targeting more business professionals than your typical survey site that accepts just about anyone.

The downfall to signing up is that the company won’t accept you right away.  Rather, they will reach out to the right people, so just because you sign up doesn’t mean you will get in.

It doesn’t appear to be any restrictions as to who can sign up, but you do need to be at least 18+ years old.  It is 100% free to join.

The Rewards and Surveys

If you’re accepted to the panel, then you can start completing surveys, in which you can access via your dashboard or you can be on the lookout for specific email invites.

Every survey you receive will pay out in what’s known as “engagement points.”  These points, like many survey sites, can then be converted into cash, in which you can cash out for rewards.

Every survey pays out about 500 to 2,500 points, with every point worth about $0.001.  So, it’s not a penny, but rather, 10% of a penny.  Basically, every 1,000 points will earn you about $1 in rewards.

Once you hit at least 20,000 engagement points, a $20 value, you can redeem your points for a variety of rewards, from travel to fine dining gift cards.  There does appear to be a PayPal rewards option as well.

Pros:

A variety of reward options, including PayPal.

Cons:

It seems as if there are a lot of glitches with the website, from signing up to completing the surveys.  There were a lot of complaints in this regard.

The surveys seem to be okay when it comes to compensation.  Nothing special here, but it seems to be below the industry average.

The minimum threshold at $20 is much higher than most survey websites.  I expect to see around $1 to $5 at most, not $20.

There doesn’t seem to be many survey invites.  Users reported maybe a few a month if that.

You can’t get approved right away; rather, you have to wait for them to manually approve you.  This can take some time.

Final Thoughts

3/10This was a short and sweet survey review, but I didn’t find much on the company.

In the end, I didn’t read anything good about them nor did it seem like it’s worth your time.   Most people never hear back, and even if you do, it seems as if it will take you an eternity to reach your minimum threshold.  Trust me, $20 is a high threshold in the survey industry.

For now, I would say 100% skip it.  There are so many better options than this company.  And, while they are backed by a legitimate company, it just doesn’t seem that they have it together with their website.  There are too many errors and people seem to complain about the never-ending glitches.

That’s going to wrap it up.

As always, if you want to comment on this company and/or you have a question, you’re more than welcome to sound off below in the comments section.  Until next time…
