The Panel Station has more than 6.3 million members from more than 35+ countries, making it one of the larger survey panels on the internet. However, as I explain in all of my guides, it doesn’t always mean it’s worth joining, even though it’s legit.
Whether you’ve landed on this review because you’re looking for more information on the Panel Station or you want to learn more about the many survey panels out there, I wanted to walk you through the steps as to how it works as well as what you can make.
As in all of my reviews, I’m always 100% honest, only recommending what I feel is worth your time.
What is the Panel Station?
The Panel Station is an online community just like any other survey panel, where you will be asked to answer survey questions in exchange for “points.” These points can then be exchanged for a variety of gift cards, which I will talk about later on in this review.
The panel is operated by Borderless Access Panels Pvt. Ltd. which is a reputable marketing research company based in India. They were founded in 2008 and have more than 300+ employees, according to the official LinkedIn page. You can read more about the company’s history there or via BorderlessAccess.com.
Your Dashboard
Once you create an account, you can access your account’s dashboard, which will look something like this:
This is the desktop version, but they have a mobile version as well. No matter which option you use, they will both look the same.
The nice thing about Panel Station is that they make it easy, only focusing on survey opportunities. You can see directly on your dashboard that you can see the available surveys at the moment.
It will tell you how points you can earn, but unlike most survey companies, they don’t tell you how long the survey is going to take. This is a huge con to some as you don’t want to get caught up with a 20 minute survey that only pays out $0.40.
I tried a few surveys and found most to be in the 10~ minute range, but this isn’t always true. You’re almost gambling on each survey you take. Expect a few invites every week.
How Much Do the Surveys Pay?
The company’s official FAQ notes that most surveys pay about 500 to 5,000 points, however in my experience, most surveys were in the 500 to 1,500 range. This seemed to be the average; however, you would see some surveys paying much more. It was rare, though.
What Are Panel Station Points Worth?
Every 1,000 points is worth about $1.50 in gift card rewards.
Rewards
You can start redeeming your prizes when you accrue at least 3,000 points in your account, which is equal to $5 in rewards. This is a fairly low minimum payout threshold. This can either be in the form of a gift card or you can test your luck by entering a sweepstakes contest if you desire. It’s up to you.
Reward options include Amazon, Paytm, Flipkart and a few others. There’s not much, but seeing they have Amazon, most are happy with this option. As I write this, they don’t have a PayPal option. Even though they had one in the past, they seemed to have deleted this option. This is no more.
The bad thing about the site is that it can take six to eight weeks to receive your reward, as per the FAQ, which is the highest I have ever seen. 99% of the sites I talk about almost always pay within 48 hours, sometimes instantly.
Signing Up
While I’m not a fan of Panel Station, and I don’t recommend you do so, you may be interested in joining anyways.
If so, the signing up process is easy and relatively straightforward. They just ask that you provide them with a name and email address or that you connect either your Facebook or Google account.
The panel is open to many countries, not just the United States, so I recommend you at least attempt to join to see if they are accepting your country at the moment. Even if you can join, they don’t always have openings, so if you see a closed membership page, it may open up in the future.
Joining is 100% free and you must be at least 18+.
The Pros:
- available in many countries
The Cons:
- no PayPal
- surveys don’t say how long it takes
- takes 6-8 weeks to get a reward
- not many surveys
- lots of disqualifications
Final Thoughts
2/10Panel Research is a legitimate website, but I’m not going to recommend them for one main reason — it takes 6+ weeks to get your reward. This is way too long to wait for a simple $5+ gift card when you can join many others that pay almost instantly and have the same survey invite opportunities. Not only that but they don’t have many reward options, either. The list goes on…While you will never get rich taking surveys, there are other sites if you’re interested in a site like Panel Station, such as Swagbucks and Superpay.me, which has a ton of options and pay almost instantly. These companies work in the same way only that they are a million times better. There’s no reason to join a panel such as this.
That’s going to do it for now.
