Rakuten Insight is an online survey platform operated by Rakuten Insight Global, Inc, which is a company that serves business organizations, universities, and entities from all over the world, primarily from Europe, the U.S. and Asia.
The company has millions of members and works like the many survey panels out there. You answer questions and they then reward you with rewards.
If you’re looking for another survey panel to join or maybe you landed here because you want to learn more about Rakuten Insight, let’s see if the company is worth your time.
Dashboard and Surveys
When you sign up, you can immediately access your dashboard, which will look something like this:
Since they only focus on surveys, it’s very easy to understand, as all of your surveys will show up on your main dashboard. At the time of this review, I had no surveys available, but these do recycle throughout the day, so I recommend you refresh this page or keep an eye out on your email to see when new surveys pop up.
How many surveys will I get?
This will greatly depend on your demographics, and this can be said about any survey panel. On average, you should only expect a few options a week, maybe more, maybe less. In my research, it’s lower than average.
How much do the surveys pay?
On average, the surveys seem to pay about $0.50 to $3~ in points. Some do pay more but you can expect this to be the average.
Rewards
Rakuten Insights only offers two options, but they are the options that almost everyone wants: Amazon and PayPal.
The $5 minimum threshold is about average for the industry and shouldn’t be too hard to reach. As for the weekly payouts, it’s a little high, as most companies pay out within 48 hours, but I wouldn’t say it’s a deal breaker, per se.
Signing Up
If you’re interested in signing up for an account, you can do so by adding your email address and password or you can connect your Facebook or Google account. No matter which option you choose, it will only take a minute to sign up. You can do so via the official website or via the app.
However, after the screen you see above, you will then have to fill out a member profile so that the company can learn more about you.
These member profiles are standard in the survey/research industry and it’s highly recommended you fill it out in its entirety so that you can get targeted surveys that you qualify for.
In filling out this profile, which takes about five minutes, they will give you two reward points.

- seems to be going downhill, according to reviews
Final Thoughts
Rakuten Insight is 100% legitimate and will pay you if you reach the minimum threshold; however, I wouldn’t expect many survey invites in comparison to competitors such as Swagbucks or Superpay.me, to name a few. With limited survey options, I wouldn’t expect to make much, but again, this will depend on your demographics.
The rewards are great and the threshold is fairly low, but the weekly payouts may be a bit long for some. Again, not a deal breaker.
In the end, if you sign up, don’t expect much, but don’t expect a scam, either. Just plan on a few dollars here and there. If you’re happy with that, then consider joining. Only you can decide.
That’s going to do it for now.
