Voxpopme Review: Easy Paid Video Surveys

Influence by Voxpopme is another survey app that asks for your opinion and rewards you; however, they work much differently than most since they ask you to voice your opinions in a video format.

As long as you’re comfortable using your phone’s camera and speaking out loud, it’s an option to consider.  The nice thing about video surveys such as these is that they often pay much more than your traditional surveys where you just click and type in answers.  No, they won’t make you rich, but they can make you a few dollars here and there.

If you like the ideas of expressing your views on products, services, ads and more, then Voxpopme may be something to consider.

In today’s review, I want to talk about Voxpopme and how it works as well as what the internet thinks.  As in all my reviews, I’m 100% honest, only recommending what I feel is worth your time.

Getting Started

To join as a participant with Voxpopme, the app will first ask you to register your profile.  This will include your name, email, a password as well as your date of birth.  It will ask you to complete your profile more in depth when you get to your dashboard, but I will touch on that in a bit here.

Creating your account at first takes less than two minutes to complete and you can access your dashboard immediately after doing so.

At the moment, the app is only available via your mobile phone and no desktop version is available.  You must be 18+ years old to join and reside in the United States.

You can sign up via the Google Play Store or iTunes.

Dashboard

After joining, you can start earning cash right away, mainly via the video response questions, but there are other opportunities as well.  It’s laid out nicely, so it’s not too hard to navigate.

For example, what you see below is a screengrab of my dashboard at the time of doing this review. Yours should look similar, too.

As you can see in the screenshot above, you can earn anywhere from $0.25 to $0.75 for the videos posted at the time.  Alongside each, you will see a brief description as to what’s expected of you as well as the payout.  Most of these video surveys take about five to 10 minutes to complete.

So, for example, if you talk about the last time you went swimming, they will credit you $0.25.  It’s fairly straight-forward.

Aside from completing the video questions, the app allows you to also earn cash via surveys as well as “more paid opportunities,” which seem to lead you to even more survey opportunities via third-party companies.

Completing the Video Surveys

Most of your money will be earned via the video surveys and I found them to be very easy to complete.  All of your video surveys will be found on the main dashboard when you log in and they will consistently change throughout the day and week, so what you see today may be much different than tomorrow.

To get paid, simply click on a video of interest, read the directions as seen below, and then start the task.

After you record your response and upload it, you will then have to wait for your video to be approved.

More than likely, your responses will be approved, however, they will not be improved if there are audio problems, visual problems, and/or a question wasn’t fully answered.

What Do They Do With My Video?

Typically, they will use your video internally, however, they will use it publicly on occasions as well.  Whenever you complete a task, such as the example seen above, you will see the “usage” category, which will tell you how your video is going to be used.

For example, that swimming video task would only be used internally.  In this case, a brand agency will watch your video for market research purposes.  In this case, your video will never go public.

If in the case it does go public and you agree, then the brand, if they like your video, may use snippets to post to their social media page, etc.  This all depends on the brand and what they intend on doing with your video.

Again, make sure you look at the usage information to know how your information is being used.

How Much Can I Make?

You definitely won’t make much with the app, as you can see.  Most video response surveys pay about $0.25 to $1 at most and very few surveys pop up throughout the week.

With that being said, I would expect to make about $3 to $6 a week, maybe more, maybe less, depending on your demographics.

When you first start on the app, it will ask you to complete your profile in detail to ensure that you get as many targeted surveys as possible.

Make sure you answer these questions in their entirety to potentially receive more surveys.  Like any survey site, the more they know about you, the more you can earn.  Your results will vary.

Getting Paid

Thankfully, Voxpopme pays in cash and doesn’t use a silly points system.  What you see is what you get in rewards.

To get paid, you will need at least $15 in rewards.  Once you earn enough, you can then request a PayPal payout request.

At the moment, PayPal is the only option, so you will need a PayPal account to participate.

Payouts will arrive in your PayPal account in 72 hours.

The Pros

  • surveys are fun and different from most apps
  • easy PayPal payment
  • easy to use

The Cons

  • some glitches reported
  • won’t get rich
  • higher than average minimum payout ($15)

Final Thoughts

6/10There’s no doubt Voxpopme is a legitimate company, but you won’t make a ton, maybe $10 to $15 a month.  The surveys are quick and fun compared to most survey apps.  Seeing they only take a minute to do, it could be something you could do in your spare time.  As long as you know you won’t get rich and you’re happy with $10 here and there, then sure, sign up.  How many surveys you get, again, will depend on your demographics.

In the end, Voxpopme is legitimate and can be an okay way to earn a few dollars on occasions.  If you’re happy with what you read, sign up.  If not, you may want to consider one of the many survey apps out there that can often pay much more.

That’s going to wrap it up.
