You might have stumbled upon those ads on social media promising a free $750 gift card from Shein, a budget-friendly fashion website.
The deal sounds tempting, right?
I was curious too, so I decided to dig deeper into how this offer actually works and if there are better options out there.
About the Free $750 Shien Gift Card
First off, the company behind this specific offer is FlashRewards.co, a UK-based rewards platform that’s also active in the U.S. and Canada. This isn’t the only gift they promise; they offer everything from PayPal cash to, you guessed it, the highly advertised $750 Shein gift card. But don’t mistake it for another app with a similar name that pays you for gaming.
Now, securing this gift card isn’t as easy as clicking a button. You’ll need to complete a series of sponsored tasks to rack up enough points for that $750 reward. These tasks vary from downloading new apps, registering for services, and/or even making some purchases. And here’s a heads-up: not all tasks are free, which should be a warning sign.
It’s not just about doing any random tasks, either, as you have to climb a “task ladder,” completing a specified number of tasks at different levels.
So you’re talking about one level one task, one at level two, three at level three, and so on.
Basically, you’ll spend a good amount of time, maybe even weeks, checking off this list. And in the process, you might end up spending anywhere from $25 to $100 just to claim that ‘free’ $750 gift card. In the end, to get that big reward, you’ll have to complete 20 sponsored tasks.
As you can see in that screenshot, you will need to complete 20 offers to get to the $750 level. These are offers come from a very selective list and you must complete them to move on. There wasn’t much of a choice when I was using the platform.
If you want to go for it, be meticulous. FlashRewards.co will ask for proof that you’ve completed each task. Screenshots will be your best friends here.
What’s the Catch?
Even though Flash Rewards says some tasks are free, others will actually cost you money. That should be a red flag. Plus, you can’t just complete the easy tasks. You’re going to have to tackle some of the more challenging ones too, divided into various levels, as noted. If it’s not free, it may take hours of your time to earn what may only be worth a $5 reward. For example, you may have to reach level 40 on a gaming app, etc.
And guess what?
You could be spending weeks or even months just to meet all these requirements. You might also end up shelling out between $25 to $100 on some of these so-called ‘free’ offers, sometimes much more. The lesson here is that these tasks won’t happen overnight.
Ultimately, you will be limited as to what tasks you can complete and you will have to invest some of your money.
What the Internet Says
I did some snooping on Reddit, and users have mixed feelings about Flash Rewards. While some have successfully claimed their Shein gift card, it took a lot of time and effort. Many others quit before finishing, frustrated with the slow pace and occasional glitches in getting credit for completed tasks. And it’s not just the Shein gift card offer; Flash Rewards has similar tough-to-reach rewards for Cash App, Amazon, and PayPal.
When I personally tested the waters, it became pretty obvious that this reward was out of reach for me. Oh, and get this, they don’t tell you upfront that you’ll need to send in a selfie and a government ID to actually get your reward.
The reviews were honestly mixed. If you could stretch it out and complete the right offers, it may be worth your time. It just depends on which offers you complete and how long it’s going to take.
Is it a Scam?
Is the offer fake? Technically, no.
Some folks have indeed scored a free $750 gift card, but it comes with strings attached — a lot of time, potentially wasted money, and a heap of frustration. Plus, you’ve got to part with personal identification info, which is sketchy in my book.
While it’s not an outright scam, it’s on thin ice, and I’d recommend caution. The ads make it look way easier than it really is. Based on the overall negative vibes from users and my own experience, I’d say it’s more trouble than it’s worth if that makes sense.
Again, if you do follow through, just make sure you document everything in case they deny your claims.
Is Flash Rewards Worth It?
My take is, steer clear of Flash Rewards if you’re aiming for a free Shein gift card. It’s more trouble than it’s worth, with many reports of people not getting credit for the tasks they’ve completed. Plus, they ask for personal photos and ID, which is weird and risky.
The process to earn that $750 from Flash Rewards is complicated and unreliable. You might even end up spending real money to complete some tasks. There are better, more trustworthy ways to make money online as a beginner. So, be cautious if you’re considering signing up for this.
Final Thoughts
If you’re excited about the possibility of a $750 Shein gift card through Flash Rewards, I hope this guide has given you reasons to reconsider. It looks tempting at first, but it’s a complicated and frustrating process. And, you might even have to spend some of your own money along the way.
If you see ads for $750 Shein gift card codes, ignore them. It’s just not going to be worth the headache.
Instead, what I recommend you do is sign up for a site such as Swagbucks to complete similar offers and then save for any gift card. This process will be much easier, seeing you can cash out your earnings at any time and won’t have to climb a “reward ladder.”
That’s going to do it for now.
