If you’re on the hunt for a fun way to make some extra cash, let me introduce you to Amusement Advantage. This isn’t your average mystery shopping gig. It’s a cool site where you can get paid for checking out amusement parks, tourist hotspots, and other fun places.

Now, I have had a chance to dive deep into what Amusement Advantage has to offer, and I’m excited to share my findings with you.

First things first, before we even get started, let it be known that Amusement Advantage is the real deal. You will definitely get paid for your mystery shopping, but it’s not just about the money. Before you jump in, it’s crucial to understand what you’re signing up for and if it’s the right fit for you.

Now, let me break it down for you.

If you’re in a big city, joining Amusement Advantage can be a great move. There’s usually more to explore and more opportunities to earn. But what really sets this site apart is its focus on fun places. I mean, who wouldn’t want to get paid to visit amusement parks, right?

But here’s the catch – it’s not just about visiting these places. You need to know how it all works. How much time and effort will you need to put in? What’s the real earning potential? These are important things to consider.

In today’s review, let’s dive into how you can earn with Amusement Advantage.  As in all of my reviews, I’m 100% honest, only recommending what I feel is worth your time.

Let’s begin!

Joining as a Mystery Shopper

If you’re in the US or Canada, except for Nevada, you’re able to join Amusement Advantage. Unfortunately, Nevada’s off the table because of its specific laws about mystery shopping. You need to be a registered private investigator there to do this kind of work. So, signing up in Nevada won’t get you any gigs.

For everyone else, getting started is easy.

You need to be at least 18 years old. When you’re ready to sign up, just head over to their registration page. You’ll need to provide your full name and email address to start. Then, fill out the rest of the sign-up form with your details.

Once you’ve submitted the form, you’re now an official mystery shopper with Amusement Advantage. Now you can log in, check out the shopper dashboard, and start looking for assignments in your area. It’s a great way to find fun tasks and earn some extra cash.

The whole process takes about five minutes, but even after you join, they will still want you to fill out a more detailed profile in regards to your history so that they can learn more about you.

Mystery Shopping Jobs

As noted, this isn’t your typical mystery shopping gig. Instead of hitting up regular stores like most mystery shopping gigs, you get to explore cool spots like amusement parks, theatres, and tourist attractions.

Here’s how it works.

After signing up as a mystery shopper, you will get access to a dashboard full of potential assignments. They will also send you emails when something pops up near you. To scout out these opportunities, just pick your state and how far you’re willing to travel. Then, from there, you should see a list of assignments, similar to this:

On the left, you will see the venue name, and on the right, you will see when you can do it, as well as how far away it is from your zip code.  I had to blur it for NDA purposes.

As with any mystery shopping jobs, pay close attention to the assignment details. If you miss a step, you might not get paid.  It’s so important to read every detail to make sure you get paid.

If you’re up for the challenge, hit the “Request Assignment” button. Feel free to request multiple assignments, but remember, you can only snag each one once. For the best shot, try requesting different tasks at the same facility.

Don’t expect an immediate response for every request. From my experience, they will let you know within a day if you’re scheduled. When you are, just pick a date, show up, and complete your mission. And, the great thing is that if you can report back early enough, you can often receive bonuses.

Once your report is in, Amusement Advantage takes a look. If they give it the thumbs up, you’ll get your payment. I’ll talk more about how they pay in a bit.

From my experience, there’s no shortage of assignments, which means more chances for you to earn.  When I was writing this review, for instance, there were more than 10 jobs within 25 miles to choose from.

How Much Can I Make?

Let’s dive into how much you can earn with Amusement Advantage.

How much you make will be greatly dependent on where you live. If you’re in a big city with lots of fun places like amusement parks and theaters, you should be in luck, as you will find a bunch of opportunities to make some money.

On the flip side, living in a smaller town might mean fewer chances to earn. That’s just the nature of mystery shopping – it thrives in bustling places with lots to do. Plus, it doesn’t really make sense to travel far for an assignment. You’d probably spend more on getting there than what you’d earn.

Now, let’s talk numbers.

For each task you complete, you’re looking at earning around $20 to $40. And if you have to spend some cash during the assignment, don’t worry. They’ll cover it and add it to your payment.   This is all noted in the description, but usually, reimbursement can range from $30 to more than $100+. Mostly, you’re going to have fun for the day and get all of your expenses reimbursed plus $10 to $30+ for your time.

Simply put, your earning potential with Amusement Advantage really boils down to where you call home. Big cities can expect a decent flow of opportunities and earnings. But if you’re in a small town, the chances to earn might be slim or none.  It also depends on how many jobs you complete.

You can expect to make about $10 to $30 per job profit, but you will have fun at the amusement park, theater, etc.  Picture it almost like a way to get paid a few dollars to have fun for the day.

Getting Paid

When you finish a mystery shopping assignment and your report gets the green light, you will get paid. But keep in mind, not all assignments are about the cash. Sometimes, your reward is tickets for the fun activities you’re checking out, for example.

However, if it’s cold, hard cash you’re after, be picky with the assignments you choose. Skip the ones that only offer tickets.

Now, how does the cash flow work? It’s pretty straightforward. After you complete a task, they send your payment straight to your PayPal account, with no minimum amount required.

But patience is key. Your PayPal might take 30 to 45 days to show the money. Sure, the wait can be a bit of a bummer, but the convenience of PayPal makes up for it.

So, if you’re cool with the wait and love the idea of easy PayPal payments, Amusement Advantage could be a great fit.

Final Thoughts

If you love the idea of exploring new places and the thought of earning while having fun excites you, then Amusement Advantage might just be what you’re looking for.

Amusement Advantage is definitely a legit way to earn some extra cash by doing mystery shopping in fun places like amusement parks and theaters. This site has several great features, but there are a few things you should think about before diving in.

Let’s look at the bright side first.

Amusement Advantage pays you via PayPal, which is super convenient. The website is easy to navigate, and there’s no minimum amount you need to earn before you can cash out. They also offer some pretty sweet rewards if you refer others to the site.

However, there’s a bit of a wait to get your earnings – it can take a while. Plus, your chance to earn depends a lot on where you live. If you’re in a big city, you’re more likely to find a lot of opportunities.

Now, if you’re in a small town, it might be tough to find assignments. In that case, you might want to look for other ways to earn. Consider checking out survey and GPT sites available in your country such as Swagbucks.  These can be a good fit no matter where you live and often offer decent earning potential.

For those of you who are into the idea of mystery shopping and want more options, there are other great mystery shopping sites out there too. So, if you’re in the right location and you’re okay with waiting a bit for your cash, Amusement Advantage could be a great choice for you. Otherwise, there are plenty of other ways to earn a little extra on the side.

That’s going to do it for now.
