Buzzback is a product research and brand development service that helps hundreds of brands worldwide to better connect with their consumers. In short, it’s yet another one of the many survey panels out there that reward you for your time to offer your feedback. Answer questions and you get rewarded, it’s that simple.
According to the company’s sign-up page, when you join the panel, you become part of a unique online community that gives you the opportunity to be heard.
There’s no doubt that the company is 100% legit, but is it worth your time?
Buzzback Paid Surveys Review
As in all of my reviews, I love to explore the thousands of ways to make money online. As you may know by now, there are a ton of scams out there, so I try to steer you clear of them. Every review I write is 100% honest and I would never recommend something I personally wouldn’t use.
So, if you want to make a few bucks on the side, let’s take a gander to see if Buzzback is worth your time.
What is the Buzzback Market Research Panel?
The company has been operating since 2000 and uses a suite of tools to gather the opinions of its consumers. According to the company, these opinions help influence hundreds of well-known brands, many of which you probably have heard of. It’s no different than the many other research panels out there.
While the company primarily focuses on surveys, this isn’t the only way to make money as you can test products from home as well. This is commonplace in the market research world.
As I mentioned prior, the company is legitimate, but is it worth your time?
Signing Up for Buzzback
To sign up, you’re going to want to head to the official Buzzback Panel URL located here. Upon entering, you will see a “Sign Up” tab. This is what you will want to click.
When signing up, the company will ask for your email address, your birthday, and zip code to get started. It’s not much and only takes about one minute to complete.
After you confirm your email address, you can then access your panel.
Buzzback Dashboard
Once you confirm your email, you can then access your dashboard, which will look something like this…
As you can see, it’s fairly simple.
At first, you will be asked to complete your profile, much like the other research panels. It’s optional, however, in failing to fill these categories out, you will find that you will disqualify for a lot of surveys, leading to a lot of frustration. The main reason these companies do this is so that they can send you targeted surveys and not waste your time. Again, I can’t stress this enough; if you fail to do this, you will find that you will disqualify for a lot of surveys.
The profiles here consist of 15 categories, each of which has a few questions each and only takes a few minutes to complete. Again, make sure that you complete these profiles so that you only take surveys you qualify for.
Surveys
After you complete your profile, you can then head to the surveys tab to see which surveys you qualify for.
At first, if you don’t see any surveys available, it may mean you haven’t completed your profile. So, again, make sure these questions are answered so that you can start making cash. If you did fill out your profile, then it may take some time as they don’t always have a readily supply of surveys available.
How many surveys can I expect?
In my personal experience, the company sends about a few surveys a week, but this can vary greatly on your demographic. However, over the past year or so, this seems to be dwindling. Your results will vary, as with any survey company.
How much do they pay?
The nice thing about Buzzback is that the average survey pays about $0.50 to $5 each, making it one of the higher paying survey companies. Just remember that you do need to qualify for these surveys in order to get paid. Nothing is guaranteed.
How long are the surveys?
This varies, but since the surveys are longer, you can expect the average survey to last 20 to 30 minutes.
The Rewards
The nice thing about Buzzback is that they make it easy to redeem your rewards. They don’t use a silly points system nor do they make it hard to figure out what you’re earning. What you see is what you get.
To cash out, you will need at least $15 in rewards. Once you hit this minimum threshold, you can then choose from either a PayPal or Amazon option. I know it’s not much, but honestly, 99% of survey takers often want the Amazon or PayPal option, so I can see this as a good thing.
It will take about four days to get your reward, on average.
What Others Are Saying
It’s not always just about what I have to say, so for that reason, I like to comb the internet and see what they are saying as well. In my hunt, I found multiple pros and cons, as with any survey company, and I listed all of my findings below.
The Pros
- very easy to use dashboard
- PayPal and Amazon cashout option
- backed by a legitimate company with years of service
The Cons
- not as many surveys as expected
- some surveys are hard to qualify for
- seems as if they changed their URL a while back and caused some confusion
- bad customer support
Final Thoughts
3/10Indeed, the Buzzback Research Panel is 100% legitimate, but I feel it’s not worth your time. The surveys seem to be few and far between and it just seems stale. It’s not to say it’s a scam. I just think there’s much better out there. If you want to make money in the survey world, there are many other options you can consider such as Swagbucks and Survey Junkie. These sites offer multiple surveys a day and it’s not too hard to earn $5, $10 or $15+ a day. It just depends on how hard you work at it.
For now, you can check out Buzzback if you feel like it could be worth it, but don’t be upset if you don’t see a survey invite for quite some time.
