CashPlay App: Did I Use It?

The CashPlay app is said to be the “perfect app” to earn money and cash.  They say that if you want to make better use of your time, this is the app to download.

Now, before you get too excited, there are a ton of these apps, and the sad thing is that most of these, including the CashPlay app don’t pay all that much.

As a relatively smaller app in the playing field, let’s take a look at what it has to offer.  Whether you’re wanting to know more about CashPlay or you want to see if this is another way to make money with your phone, I will dig into the details, letting you know how it works.

As in all of my reviews, I’m always 100% honest, only recommending what I feel is worth your time.

Getting Started

The minute you download the app, you can start earning money immediately.  This is what your dashboard is going to look like:

As you can see, it’s fairly simple.

You will see your coin balance, a “take survey” button as well as how much longer you need until you can cash out.  You can see you need at least $0.15 to cash out, which is one of the lowest cashout thresholds in the industry.

The Surveys

So, you’re probably wondering how you can earn money with the app and it’s simply through surveys.  Now, these surveys won’t be through the CashPlay app, but rather, they will come via third-party offerwalls, which provide the surveys to them.  It makes it easier for a site such as this to make money as all they need to know is to make sure the API is working properly and that’s about it.  Once they get paid by the offerwall, they then share the profits with you.

When I clicked on the link, it just took me to Pollfish, which is a very popular and reputable offerwall.

Now, while this offerwall is legitimate, it doesn’t mean you should stick with this app and use it.  What you’re going to find out is that you can find higher paying surveys elsewhere, even if they are working with the same provider.  For example, Swagbucks and Superpay.me, to name a few, often pay much more than this app.

At the moment, this is the only way you can earn with the app, and unfortunately, it will only come through one provider.

If you do stick it out, most of your surveys, once you finish your demographic profile, will pay about $0.25 to $1~ per survey, that’s about it.  And, how many surveys you will receive will depend on your demographics and when you log in.

Getting Paid

The app, as you could see in the dashboard, pays in coins, which are worth about $0.00003 each.  To put it simply, every 20,000 coins is worth $1 in value.  0It’s a wacky math system, but they do this so that you think you’re earning a ton when in reality it’s peanuts.  That’s why whenever you start any app, always figure out what the “coins” or currency is worth as it may not always be what you think.

As noted, when you reach 4,000 coins, about $0.15 in value, you can cash out via PayPal.

While I was writing this, you could cash out in the following increments as seen in the photo.  This included $0.15, $0.50, $1, $2, $5, $10, $15, $20 and $30.   PayPal is the only option at the moment.

What Others Are Saying

On the official Google Play app, the reviews seemed to be mixed.  They aren’t great nor are they fantastic.  When I browsed through them, here’s what I found…

The Pros

  • simple
  • PayPal

The Cons

  • reported payments but often delayed
  • difficult to earn points
  • surveys don’t pay all that much
  • lack of customer support
  • used to have games but appears to be no more

Final Thoughts

1/10In the end, skip out on the CashPlay app.  It’s nothing unique and you won’t make much, if anything.

If you want to make money on your phone, I highly consider Freecash and Swagbucks, to name a few, but you won’t get rich.  These apps are only meant if you want to take a few surveys and earn a few dollars a day.  Hey, it adds up.

If you do stick it out with CashPlay, I think you will be annoyed with the lack of surveys and delayed payments.  There just doesn’t seem to be much going for it.

That’s going to wrap it up.
