Engage In Depth Survey Review (My View)

In today’s post, I want to talk about Engage In Depth, a survey platform that I have talked about before, particularly in my get paid quick surveys and the best survey sites out there posts.

You might have heard about it and wondered if it’s a good fit for you.

In today’s post, I want to dive in and explore what this site has to offer.  As in all of my reviews, I only recommend what I feel is worth your time, so I hope you can trust me with my assessment.

Engage In Depth Surveys Review

First things first, Engage In Depth is definitely a legitimate survey site. If you’re considering joining, rest assured, they do pay for the surveys you complete. That’s always a good starting point, right? However, don’t rush to sign up just yet. It’s important to figure out if it’s the right choice for you.

Now, what sets Engage In Depth apart from other survey sites is its unique approach.

They have two main panels – the consumer and healthcare panels. The consumer panel focuses on things such as TV shows, advertising effectiveness, cars, and general consumer topics. On the other hand, the healthcare panel delves into medical and healthcare-related subjects. This variety means you’ve got some interesting options depending on your interests.

So, why might you consider joining Engage In Depth?

Well, it can be a nice way to make a bit of extra cash on the side. However, it’s worth noting that the survey opportunities might not come as frequently as you would hope. But when they do, they can add a nice little boost to your wallet. It’s all about setting the right expectations and seeing if it fits into your schedule and interests.  With most survey sites, you should never expect to make a ton of money.

Let’s talk about how you can make money.

Surveys with Engage In Depth

Once you have signed up and logged into your dashboard, things might look a bit different from what you’re used to with other survey sites. You might expect to see a list of available surveys right there, but Engage In Depth does things a bit differently. Instead of finding surveys on the dashboard, you will see more about your profile.

So, how do you find surveys to take?

The answer is simple, as you will have to check your email. Engage In Depth will send survey invites directly to your inbox. These emails will have all the details you need – the survey link, the reward for completing it, and how long it’s expected to take.

Before you dive into a survey, however, there’s a little step you need to go through.

Most survey sites, including Engage In Depth, ask you to answer some pre-qualification questions. This step is crucial because it helps them figure out if you fit the demographic they’re targeting for that particular survey. If you qualify, great.  You will then be taken straight to the survey. If not, they will let you know right away so you don’t waste your time on a survey that won’t earn you rewards.

Now, a little heads-up about the panels.

Engage In Depth has two main panels.  Again, they have the consumer panel and the healthcare panel. As a regular consumer, you will be part of the consumer panel, which is open to everyone. The healthcare panel, however, is specifically for physicians and medical professionals. If you’re not in the medical field but are still interested in healthcare studies, there are other clinical paid studies you can check out.

Focus Groups

Focus groups are another way to participate on their platform, aside from the regular surveys. Their website mentions focus groups, but the details are a bit sparse.  However, don’t worry, as I have some insights to share based on my own experiences with survey sites and focus groups.

Focus groups are a bit different from the usual surveys. Imagine being part of a small group where everyone dives deep into one specific topic. It’s not just about answering questions, but it’s more about discussing and exploring that topic together.

The process to get into these focus groups is similar to how you find surveys. If you fit the demographics for what they’re looking for, Engage In Depth will send you an invite. Keep an eye on your email for these opportunities because they don’t come around all the time.

Now, let’s talk about rewards.

Participating in focus groups can be more rewarding than completing regular surveys, both financially and experience-wise. The payouts are usually higher because you’re giving more of your time and thoughts. Plus, engaging in these discussions can be quite fun and interesting.

So, if you ever get the chance to join a focus group with Engage In Depth, I’d say go for it. Not only can it be a nice way to earn more, but you might also enjoy the experience of sharing your thoughts and hearing from others on a particular topic.

How Much Can I Make?

When you’re thinking about the money you can make with Engage In Depth, it’s quite an interesting topic. This isn’t your average survey site, and here’s why.

The amount you earn hinges on a few key things, such as the number of surveys or focus group invites you receive, how many of these you actually complete, and the rewards for each completed activity.  As you can see, there are a lot of factors involved.

Engage In Depth stands out because the rewards they offer are on the higher side. We’re talking about $50 to $200+, which is impressive, especially when compared to other survey sites. This makes Engage In Depth one of the highest paying platforms I have come across in this field.

But hold on, it’s not all about big numbers.

While the rewards are tempting, it’s crucial to remember that these opportunities don’t pop up every day. From my experience, and based on what members have shared, Engage In Depth doesn’t send invites frequently.

This might make you wonder, “Is it still worth it?”

Well, consider this.  Even though the invites are less frequent, the higher rewards can potentially add up to a decent amount, sometimes even more than what you would earn from sites that send out a lot of lower-paying surveys if that makes sense.

In my view, Engage In Depth can be a solid choice for making some money now and then. Just don’t bank on it as a consistent source of income. Also, keep in mind that qualifying for the surveys and focus groups depends on your profile, and there’s no guarantee you will qualify every time.

Getting Paid

The platform’s website isn’t super clear on the payment process, but I have pieced together some info from my experiences as well as feedback from others I found online.

When you complete a survey or participate in a focus group at Engage In Depth, they will often reward you directly.  These payments usually range anywhere from $50 to $125 for each market research activity you’re part of, which is about average for a focus group company.

Now, the big question is how they send you this money.

From what I have read, a common method is mailing a check for the amount you have earned. But sometimes, you might get paid through PayPal, which is a lot more convenient, if you ask me.

The nice thing is that there’s no minimum amount you need to earn before you can claim your reward. This is a bit different from many survey sites where you have to accumulate a certain amount or number of points before cashing in.

Once you’ve completed a market research activity with them, they will start processing your payment. But if you’re getting a check by mail, remember it won’t arrive instantly. It takes a bit of time for them to issue the check and then for it to travel through the postal system. Usually, you can expect your reward in about a week or sometimes a bit longer.

The Pros:

  1. High rewards: Many reviewers mention receiving significant payments for their participation, with rewards ranging from $50 to $250.
  2. Prompt payment: Users often report receiving their payments quickly, usually within a week or two after completing a study.
  3. Positive experiences with staff: Several reviewers highlight their pleasant interactions with Engage In Depth staff, particularly citing recruiters for being understanding and helpful.
  4. Enjoyable and easy participation: Participants find the process of engaging in studies, whether through phone, webcam, or in-person, to be enjoyable and straightforward.
  5. No payment threshold: Engage In Depth does not require a minimum amount to be earned before issuing payment.

The Cons:

  1. Limited to US residents: The site seems primarily geared towards US residents, which isn’t explicitly stated on their website.
  2. Infrequent survey opportunities: Several users note that while the payment is good, the frequency of available surveys and studies is lower compared to other sites.
  3. Lack of clarity and relevant information: Some reviewers express frustration over the lack of detailed information on the website about various aspects of participation.
  4. Inconsistent experiences: A few reviewers had negative experiences, including issues with payment amounts and misunderstandings regarding study requirements.
  5. Limited customer support: Instances of unresponsive or insufficient support from the panel, especially in resolving payment and participation issues.

Final Thoughts

Alright, let’s wrap up our review about Engage In Depth.

It’s a legit survey site where you can earn some cash for participating in market research.  It doesn’t have a minimum payout threshold, and the rewards for the surveys and focus groups are quite high. This is great because once you complete an activity, they pay you without delay.

However, one big thing to consider is that the number of studies or surveys available is quite limited. This might not be a big deal for everyone, but it does affect how often you can earn.

Despite these drawbacks, the fact remains that Engage In Depth offers real money for your efforts, and the payments are pretty decent. If you do get to be a member, it can be a nice little side gig. Just don’t expect it to be a regular income source, maybe $25 to $100~ or so per month.

As we are all different, your results could vary from mine.  For now, I just recommend you check it out to see what it can do for you financially.

That’s going to do it for now.

As always, feel free to chime on your experience below.
