The thought of free diapers could make any parent smile. After all, it’s one of the biggest expenses after the baby is born.
In the past, I wrote about the many baby freebies as well as the many ways to snag free baby formula samples, but I haven’t explained where to get free diapers. It’s time to do that.
As with all of my freebie guides, I always include 100% free options for all. So, put your credit card away and get ready to fill out some forms. These are all 100% legitimate options, I promise!
Be forewarned that some of these options may be sold out when you do check the link out, but these companies frequently restock, so you may have to come back in the future. Some may have income restrictions as well, but I will be sure to include any warnings in each description.
With that out of the ways, let’s dive in and explore the many ways to get free samples of diapers.
How to Get Free Diapers
Register with Diaper Companies
Almost every name-brand diaper company has a website, wherein you can register and receive valuable coupons and even free samples.
Most of the companies I list below will often send you samples and even continue to send out coupons, making your purchase almost free. It really depends on the time of the promotion and who you use.
Nonetheless, be sure to check out the following companies and sign up for their loyalty accounts to start at least receiving coupons:
Sign up for all of them and keep a lookout in your inbox.
Contact the Diaper Companies
In many cases, a simple phone call to customer service can warrant a few free samples in the mail.
I know a lot of you don’t like picking up the phone, but I promise you that it works wonders and only takes a few minutes of your time.
To test your luck, here are the toll-free numbers for the many diaper brands out there…
- Bambo Nature // 844-223-6248
- Honest Co. // 888-862-8818
- Huggies // 877-648-2484
- Luvs // 888-665-3257
- Pampers // 866-661-0671
- Seven Generation // 800-211-4279
Honestly, out of all the methods I list, this is one of the best options to almost guarantee a free sample.
Just give them a call, ask them directly for samples/coupons and see what they can do for you.
Huggies Rewards
If you plan on using the Huggies brand, be sure to sign up for a Huggies Rewards account and register every diaper box you buy.
In doing so, you can get rewards points, in which you can then cash out for free diapers and much more the brand carries. For every dollar you spend, you can earn 10 points. You will just need to upload your receipt after your purchase.
Many times, the company will offer you a bonus, usually around 500 points, just for signing up. It’s 100% free to do and only takes minutes.
Pampers Rewards
Like Huggies and the many other diapers brands, Pampers also has a rewards system as well. If you plan on buying Pampers, then it’s highly recommended you at least download the app to earn rewards.
To earn reward points, you will need to peel back the box after purchase and scan it to earn points. You can also earn bonus points for completing certain tasks as well. For example, if I downloaded the app and registered, I could get 100+ points.
Get Gift Cards via Research Companies
If you have a few minutes, consider signing up for Swagbucks, one of the internet’s biggest survey companies.
Here’s how it works…
Swagbucks works with some of the most popular brands in the world, many of which need your help to judge new products, marketing campaigns, etc. Basically, you will answer a few questions and get rewarded for your time. It’s very easy, trust me.
As I write this, check out my dashboard to see all of the opportunities I could take advantage of…
Every point is a dollar. So, that one survey is $45, whereas the top one is $5. There are always a TON. Just be sure to check throughout the day.
And, once you earn enough points, you can then cash out for just about any gift card imaginable, including cold-hard cash via PayPal. You can use these points for anything, not just diapers.
I earn about $200 to $300 a month, and it only takes me a few minutes every day. Just think of it, $3 a day is an easy $100 a month. That’s a lot of diapers.
If you haven’t done so, consider checking the website out. It’s free to join and you can start earning RIGHT NOW.
Baby Registries
If you plan on having a baby shower and haven’t done so yet, be sure to sign up for as many baby registries as possible.
Why?
Many of them will give you freebies, including diaper samples, just for joining. Target, for example, will give you an awesome welcome box at the customer service desk.
I did write about this in the past, so I recommend you check out the best baby registries to sign up for. In this guide, I talked about the many benefits as well as what kind of freebies you could get.
Simply Right
This page isn’t always active, but when it is, you can receive a few diaper samples.
Formerly known as Member’s Mark diapers and wipes, the Simply Right brand is known to have a new thin absorbent core, great for leakage protection.
They go fast, so I do recommend you at least check in on occasions. If you’re lucky enough, all you will need to do is enter your address to receive them.
Learn How to Coupon Match
This method can almost always get you diapers at a heavily discounted price, sometimes even free.
Known as “coupon matching,” here’s how it works.
Every week, retailers have sales, right? Well, what you will want to do is find the coupons floating around out there that you can use on top of these sale items. These coupons can be found online or even in the local newspaper.
So, for example, if a small pack of diapers went on sale for $5 and you could find a $5 off coupon, then your purchase is free. Yes, this can happen.
To find these coupons, you won’t have to search the web. Instead, I recommend fantastic resources like The Krazy Coupon Lady as she does the dirty work for you. Just search her store matchup pages and see what kind of deals you can snag for the week.
Granted, you won’t always find diaper deals, but nonetheless, it’s a great habit to get into to save big. Just get into the habit of checking out these matchups weekly to see how much you can save or even get for free.
The National Diaper Bank Network
The National Diaper Bank Network is a fantastic organization that helps low-income families in need with free diapers.
Yes, you will have to qualify, and in some cases, the supply may be limited, but nonetheless, it’s a wonderful option to help lessen your diaper burden if you’re having a hard time affording them.
To find a member within the National Diaper Bank Network, refer to this official page to see which organization is nearby. As I write this, there are more than 200+ community-based diaper banks that can help.
Other Organizations
The National Diaper Bank does a great job networking you with local organizations. However, they don’t always list everyone.
If you’re in need of free diapers due to financial constraints, then I recommend searching for something along the lines of “free diapers near me.” You can also check out this in-depth NeedHelpPayingBills.com list.
In doing this, you could find many other organizations that may be willing to donate diapers or even help you out financially.
Talk with Your Doctor’s Office
Many times, your doctor will have a closet jammed packed with samples, from prenatal vitamins to diaper samples.
As these corporations know that your doctor is often working with their demographic, they have no problem sending the office a ton of samples. They want to get you hooked one way or another.
Now, some doctors may freely give you samples, whereas others may wait for you to ask. For instance, my doctor would give me a TON of prenatal vitamins when I was pregnant, but I had to ask.
The next time you visit your doctor, see if they have any samples in stock because there’s a good chance there will be.
Before You Leave the Hospital
It may be too late, but if you haven’t given birth yet, be sure to remember to ask the hospital for free samples.
Like your doctor’s office, though, most hospitals will send you home with a goodie bag, mostly filled will diapers, formula and coupons.
Regardless, it’s a great way to snag a few free diapers before you go home.
Bookmark These Freebie Websites
I talk about this tip in almost every freebie post I make, but make it an effort to bookmark these freebie websites.
All of the websites listed there are updated almost daily and can be a great source for current freebie options. Everything you find posted is 100% free.
As I can’t update this guide every day (sorry, don’t have the manpower!), you could find a company offering free diaper opportunities for a limited time. Since these freebies go fast, it would be up to you to sign up as fast as possible.
Scroll through my list and pick out a few of your favorites. In some cases, you can even set alerts so that you’re alerted anytime a free diaper option arises.
Test Your Luck with Giveaways
This isn’t guaranteed, but you could always test your luck online by entering a few sweepstakes here and there.
Whether it’s social media or following one of the many giveaway websites that track sweepstakes, it doesn’t hurt to at least enter, seeing it only takes a few seconds to do so.
Again, this is outside the box thinking and you’re not guaranteed free diapers, but if you were to win, some of the prizes are quite big, sometimes supplying you diapers for a year!
Final Thoughts
As you can see, there are a ton of ways to get free diapers, no matter what kind of situation you’re in.
While most of these options won’t supply you forever, every diaper can at least help you save something. Seeing all of these options are 100% free, what do you have to lose?
As with all of these posts, you’re more than welcome to add your tips to the comments below and/or comment on anything I already mentioned.
In the meantime, start signing up and see how many diapers land on your doorstep.
