Free Stuff for Kids by Mail: The Ultimate List

Some of the links may be from a sponsor. Advertising Disclosure

Who doesn’t love free stuff?  I love it so much, I have a whole section of the site dedicated to this very topic.  You can find a ton of legitimate freebies here.

If you have a child at home and want a freebie sent directly to your doorstep, then this is the post for you.  And, there’s no need for a credit card, I promise you that.

In this post, I’m going to talk about the many legitimate freebies that you can sign up for.  From books to stickers, there’s quite a bit.  Unlike a lot of posts you find online that mislead you with “fake” free offers, only asking for your credit card information, I don’t work like that.  It’s all 100% legitimate and scam free.

Take a look at the list, and if there’s anything of interest, follow the link to sign up and get your freebie!

Free Stuff for Kids by Mail

NOTE:  As with all of my freebie posts, some of these options may be expired or out of stock.  Please bear with me as I only have so much time to update these links.  Refer to the date above to see when I last updated this post.  Thanks!

Butterfly Seed Kit

The Butterfly Hero seed kit helps your child start his or her very own butterfly garden.

As a fair warning, however, this opportunity often goes fast and seeds are sometimes unavailable.  Keep checking, though, as they will continue to add to their inventory at random times.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (Free Books)

Out of all the freebies I note here, I would have to say Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is one of the best.

The Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a gifting program that mails free books to children from birth to age five within the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and the Republic of Ireland.  Yes, you will receive a high-quality book every single month at no cost.

To sign up your child and receive a book every single month, you sign up via the link below.

Dinosaur Train Education Resources

I mentioned this option in my teacher freebies post, but I figured it’s a great option for your child as well.

Fill out the form linked below and you will receive a Dinosaur Train Nature Tracker poster.  It could be a fantastic option if your child is a fan of the hit PBS show, Dinosaur Train.

Free Disney Character Autographs

Your child can request an autograph from their favorite Disney character if they send a request to the following address:

The Walt Disney Company
Attn: Fan Mail Dept.
500 South Buena Vista Street
Burbank, CA 915

In return, the character you request will then send back either a 5×7 character card or a full 8×10.

Due to the demand, it can take up to three months to receive yours, so please be patient with your request.

EPA Activity Books

If you want to help your child understand the impact we are all having on the environment, then the EPA wants to help with its free activity booklets it sends out to kids.  There are quite a few to choose from!

To have one mailed to you, simply follow the link below and be sure to click on the mailed version to receive yours.  You can select as many as you want.

  • Website:  EPA

Lego Magazine

As long as your child is between the ages of five and nine, then Lego Magazine will send you a free magazine subscription four times a year.

All you need to do is sign up for an account via the link below to claim.   It’s 100% free!

MagnifiKid Magazine

The MagnifiKid Magazine will send you a free sample magazine, filled with activities, games, readings and even prayers from a Christian perspective.

If you like what you receive, then you can subscribe for as little as $34+ for the year.

Free Autograph from a NASA Astronaut

According to the official NASA website, your child can request an autograph simply by writing or faxing a request.

For the address and more information, the official NASA FAQ is linked below.

The official PETA Kids page has a variety of online activities, but they often have mailing options as well, ranging from stickers to comic books.  They even offer a “Helping Animals Guide” magazine subscription if interested.

These free offers can be found near the bottom of the page if available.

Free Books from the PJ Library

The PJ library will send your family a variety of Jewish-related books, music CDs and much more.

If interested, follow the link below and let them know more about you to receive your freebies.

Free Books from Skyenimals

Join the official Skyenimals email list and they will ship out a free set of bookmarks as long as you live in the United States.

Skyenimals is an animal website for kids, offering activities, games and much more.

Tales of Donkey Ollie DVD

The Tales of the Donkey will send you 10 FREE DVDs, only asking you to share the remaining nine with family and friends.  It’s a show about a donkey and his friends who take you on a musical adventure of sorts.

Just fill out the form below to request your copies.

Free Tourism Packets

This one will vary by state, but if you follow the link below, you can order travel packets from a state of choice.

All states vary in what they offer, but expect some sort of travel magazine as well as other goodies such as a sticker, map, etc.  It could be a good option if you have a trip planned in the future.  Sign up for all of them if you want to.

TNT Fireworks

One of the most popular firework retailers, TNT Fireworks, will send you a free poster, sticker, magnet, tattoo and more just for signing up for their club.

It could be a huge favorite if your child loves fireworks.  I mean, who doesn’t?

Write to the President

No matter what your child wants to write about, you can receive a reply from the president no matter what.

All letters sent to the White House are read by the secretary with a reply sent out on official White House letterhead.

While the letter won’t be handwritten by the President or even signed, it’s still kind of a cool freebie your child may enjoy.

Free Stickers

In the past, I wrote about more than 137+ companies that offer free stickers.  All you need to do is fill out the form and wait for your stickers to arrive.

While I won’t list all of them here, I would rather direct you to the post so that you can skim through it and maybe find some that your child may enjoy.

From the Annie’s bunny to PETA pet stickers, there are a few you may want to sign up for.

Check out Freebie Websites to Find Even More Opportunities

Aside from the many freebies already mentioned, there are a ton of freebie websites that do a much better job updating than I can.

For that reason, I highly recommend you check out a post in the past where I talked about 40+ freebie websites that add multiple freebies a day.  All of the websites I mentioned on that post were heavily researched and offered legitimate freebies, both online and by mail.

When you do find a few that you like, be sure to bookmark them and keep coming back as good freebie opportunities go fast.

Final Thoughts

As you can see, there’s a lot of free stuff for kids sent via the mail.  Start filling out the form and wait for your goodies to arrive.  In most cases, depending on the demand, it could take up to 12 weeks, so it’s important to be patient.

If you haven’t had the chance to do so, I highly recommend you check out a few other related freebie posts I helped create in the past, including free stuff for college students, 200+ birthday freebies and these 67+ baby freebies.

I will try my best to keep this post updated, but as I mentioned earlier, some companies do run out, but often restock when time allows.  Keep checking in if there’s nothing available as of today.

As always, if you have a freebie I’m missing and/or you want to comment on one I already mentioned, then you’re more than welcome to do so in the comments below.

Happy freebie hunting!
