Funny Play App Review: Does it Work?

The Funny Play app is one of the many apps on the Google Play Store that pays you to play games.  It has more than 1,000,000+ downloads with a very high 4.8/5 rating.

If you want to play some of the most popular games and you want to get rewarded in doing so, then this could be an app for you to consider downloading.  Granted, even the best gaming apps won’t pay you much, but if you want to play a game, you might as well get rewarded, right?

In today’s review, as in all of my reviews, let’s see if it’s worth your time.

Getting Started

If you want to download this app, you will only be able to do so via Google Play, that’s it.  Unfortunately, you will not be able to use it on your desktop nor will you be able to use it on an Apple device.  Mostly, you will find that these types of apps will not be on iTunes because Apple tends to be stricter with apps that often ask for a lot of permissions, such as tracking your gaming progress, etc if that makes sense.

The minute you download the app, you can start downloading games/apps and make money.  I usually don’t like this as most of the apps I review that don’t require you to sign up for an account often don’t turn out to be all that great.  Keep that in mind.

This is what your dashboard is going to look like:

On this list, you will see a variety of apps, all of which update throughout the day and week.  So, what you see today may change tomorrow.   This app didn’t have much in terms of opportunity, however.

All you will have to do is browse through the apps/games and then choose one of interest.  On each “card,” you will see how much you can make as well as what kind of app it is.

So, let’s take the TikTok app, for instance.

If you were to click on that “card,” you would see the following:

Unlike a lot of gaming apps that tell you what you can earn and what you have to do, this only says that you can earn up to 16,280 points.

This is what I don’t like about this app.

What can you earn?

What do you have to do?

A legitimate site will always tell you what you need to do in order to get those tokens, but unfortunately, they don’t.

How Much Can You Earn?

It’s hard to say, as they don’t tell you and it will vary.

In that TikTok example, you can earn up to 16,280 tokens, but you just don’t know how much you’re going to earn.  When I downloaded it, for example, it wasn’t much, maybe a few tokens here and there.  It’s definitely not worth your time.

When you look at the value, every 10,000 tokens is worth $1.  That means that 16,280 tokens are only worth about $1.62, so it may sound like much, but it isn’t.

Now, here’s the kicker…

If you download five apps and open them, you can earn in which you can cash out for $0.30.  It isn’t much, but almost everyone says you can get that $0.30.  Now, however, when you try to reach that $10 threshold, I read a lot of people saying they couldn’t reach it or when they did, they would get an error.  From my research, it appears they send that $0.30 as a strategy.  It makes it look as if they are going to pay over and over, which will encourage you to use the app more.  However, when you invest your time and earn those tokens, it magically gives you errors.  This was said a lot online.

Final Thoughts

0/10In the end, Funny Play doesn’t seem to be a great app at all.  Their reviews seem shady and the offerings are few and far between.  Plus, I don’t like that they don’t have much in terms of selection.  There’s not much going for them.  If you want a legitimate site that leads the industry, highly consider MistPlay. I have found them to definitely be one of the better options, but don’t expect to get rich using this site.

If you download, you will get that first $0.30, but anything after that, you will probably see nothing.  Just use this as a fair warning.

That’s going to do it for now.

  • So I downloaded funny play 3-4 months ago. And like you said I got $.30 relatively fast and I received $1 also pretty fast however when it came to being paid a significant amount after doing the tasks I was asked to do. After downloading a certain amount of apps or/and playing a certain amount of time on the apps. I finally thought I was going to actually make some money off the app. Well at first there was a countdown of 6 or 7 days and then once that ended I was given a number position to get paid it said “your current queue position is: 8950” and at first it was rapidly decreasing, I dropped down to 1500 in a week. But since my queue position has been under 1000 it drops down just a few a day. Right now I’m at 382 and it has been at least 10 – 12 weeks. And I can only imagine how much more time it’s going to take. Plus all in all I have a total of 33 payouts that are in different queue positions the first is 382 the last is 783. Ranging anywhere from $500 to $2 for a total of about $1320. So is it real or fake? Will I be paid? Well I don’t know but I will let you know. Whenever 382 drops down to 1 and then 0. I will let you know also if I don’t get paid. These apps that are falsely advertising need to be shutdown immediately. And there is one company that is making Alot of these apps. And it needs to be sued. So if anyone reads this that knows what we need to do and how. Let me know. But anyway I will update as soon my queue number gets to 1.

    Thank you

    • I am in the same situation. Still in queue, waiting, which tells me it’s a scam. Everything is computers now so they’d no reason we can’t earn the money and get it transferred right away like all legit apps do. There’s a seven that says if you make $1000 you can cash out without condition. I am trying that now and taking screenshots. I have been at $968 for months, no matter how much I download or play, it only goes up a couple points. I am getting fed up but will try to hang in to see if they pay, but I doubt it.I have seen the same with over 100 other apps that ended up scams. I ended up scammed because I am desperate for money, being older and not bored after many applications in my city. Make sure you take screenshots as proof in case one of us finds a real lawyer with a backbone to sue these scum as well as Google for enabling these criminals to prey on the desperate.
