Ever wished you could predict who’s next to leave Love Island or a popular reality show? Or how many thumbs-up Kendall Jenner’s new Instagram snap will grab? Perhaps you’re curious about Gigi’s pick for her Met Gala outfit? Well, guess what? Now, you can take a shot at these predictions and more, all while earning rewards in doing so.

Goss is an app where you can earn coins/diamonds when you answer quizzes, polls, and/or partake in other engaging activities. By participating, you accumulate these rewards, which you can then trade for real goodies such as makeup products and lavish luxury items.

If you’re a fan of current trends and want to have some fun predicting, again, all while earning rewards, then Goss may be something to consider.

In today’s review, let’s talk about the app and see how you can earn rewards.  As in all of my reviews, I’m always 100% honest, only recommending what I feel is worth your time.

Let’s begin!

Earning Rewards with Goss

When you first log into the app, you will see a dashboard that looks something like this:

As you can see, you the upcoming events as well as the daily and hourly gifts.  The “flames” you see are the streaks you can earn.  I will get into that in a few.

For now, let’s first talk about the events.

Live events

In that screenshot above, for example, you can take in “Love Island S10” at 1 pm.  What you will do is log into the app while the episode is playing and you can play exclusively themed events.  As you “predict” and answer questions, you can earn points and try to move your way up the leaderboard.  The higher you rank, the more likely you are to win unique prizes for that event.  You can see some of the prizes you can win in the screenshot below.

To join these events, you will have to spend your coins.

In this case, you will have to spend 250 coins to join.  Thankfully, when you join the app for the first time, they do give you 1,000 diamonds for free, so this should be enough to enter a few events if that’s what you’re interested in.

So, what happens if you can’t attend a live event?

That’s not a problem as they have other ways to earn.

Predictions and quizzes

For example, you can predict upcoming events of your can simply answer poll questions.

In that screenshot, you can see that you can “predict” a Lady Gaga event.

If you wanted to predict, you will wager your diamonds to earn coins.

For example, I could wager up to 25 coins to earn 3 diamonds.  The rewards vary, but you’re basically gambling to earn coins, in which you can spend later.

You can also take quizzes, where you will just answer a series of questions.  If you’re able to answer all of these questions correctly, you can earn the coins noted.  Usually, this is only 10~ coins or so.

Polls and personality

If you want to earn guaranteed coins, then you can take polls and personality-like questions.

And, the great thing about this section is that it’s straight-forward.  Just answer a question and you get the coins specified.  There are no right or wrong answers.

Rewards

The thing with Goss is that you won’t earn gift cards or cash, at least for now. The only gift card option I saw was a $25 Sephora card for about 1,600 diamonds.

Whenever you collect diamonds, you can then buy items inside the store, which change at all times.  However, whenever you’re ready to cash out, there always seems to be a great selection to choose from.  I wasn’t able to combine them into a picture.

The only problem that I see is that a lot of the great items can cost well over 1,000+ diamonds, which can take quite some time to earn.

Almost all of the rewards are fashion/beauty related.  From lotions to makeup, if you don’t care about this type of thing, then you wouldn’t benefit from the rewards. Even the gift card option, being Sephora, is beauty related.  While they had shoes and little plushies, for example, these are few and far between.

Getting Started

If you like what you read, then you can sign up either by connecting your phone or connecting your Facebook account.  As I write this, these are the only two options you can consider.

If you do connect your phone number, you will have to confirm it before you can get started.

The Pros:

  1. The app provides enjoyable and interesting topics
  2. The prizes offered are appealing
  3. The app has a user-friendly layout and doesn’t have ads
  4. Some users have won and received real prizes
  5. Free shipping on prizes
  6. Fun quizzes integrated into the app

The Cons:

  1. No desktop version
  2. Some app updates remove features users enjoyed, like the ability to see when polls end
  3. Users experience problems with app performance, such as freezing and glitches
  4. The app requires multiple presses to record answers, often causing users to run out of time
  5. The event tab was removed and replaced by a task tab, which some found unnecessary
  6. Some users feel the app is misleading, as it offers a chance to win prizes rather than definite rewards
  7. There’s a perception that the app keeps increasing the goalposts, making it harder to redeem prizes
  8. Issues with some quizzes, like pictures not loading in time, leading to losses
  9. Delays in the delivery of prizes, and some never receive their prizes

Final Thoughts

6/10Goss is a fun app if you’re a huge fan of reality type TV shows and/or pop culture.  If you want to predict upcoming events or partake in live events, then it could be something that’s fun where you can win some decent rewards.  However, if you’re going to save some diamonds to buy out rewards, it’s going to take some time.  I think the best bet to win is by playing in the live event and trying to come in the top three.  That way, you’re almost guaranteed a win.

In the end, if you want cash or rewards, it’s not really worth it, but if you want to have fun, then sure, try it out.

That’s going to do it for now.
