Habit Gift Review: Earn Cash by Drinking, etc?

Habit Gift is an Android app that promises to turn your daily routines into a rewarding experience.

You can use this app to keep track of your habits, such as counting your steps, reminding you to drink, eat, and much more.

The best part, at least according to the description? The more you engage in these activities and play games on your phone, the more coins you earn.  You can then exchange these coins for real money via PayPal.

With over 1000,000 downloads and an average rating of 4~ stars on the Google Play Store, you may  think this app is legit, but this isn’t always true.  There seems to be a fair share of unhappy users venting their frustrations in reviews on the Play Store.

In today’s review, let’s take a look at this app and see what it’s really about.

Can you get paid to drink?  Will they really pay you to walk?  If so, is it worth your time?

As in all of my reviews, I’m 100% honest, only recommending what I feel is worth your time.

Let’s begin!

How Does Habit Gift Work?

When you launch the app for the first time, it will ask for your consent to share your data with their partners. If you’re okay with that, just hit “Agree,” and you’ll land on the home screen.  Once you agree, you will then be taken directly to your dashboard, which I will show you in a second.

For now, the app is available to anyone across the globe and it’s free to join.  At the moment, it’s only available on Android devices.

As you can see, the home screen displays your daily steps, your health status, and your list of habits to work on.  As you use the app, you get to level up your health status by doing things like walking, hydrating, deep breathing, and more. The app then rewards you with coins for each of these activities.

However, here’s something interesting: you earn these coins just by selecting the tasks in the app. You don’t necessarily have to complete them.

For example, selecting “Go to Toilet” will earn you 250 coins. However, don’t get too excited, as the coins are not worth that much.  250 coins, for example, is worth less than a penny.

If you clicked on it, you will then have to wait one hour before clicking again.  You can go down the list and you’re limited to three to five tasks per day.  Count on making

Whenever you check off a task, you’ll be tempted to click on the “Earn tickets” button.  In doing so, this takes you to a section where you can earn more by playing third-party games.  This is how they make their money, and once you’ve gathered at least 2,200 tickets, you’re allowed to cash out for $5. The only problem is, there’s no list of games to play or your options may be limited, depending on where you live.

So if you’re in certain countries, you’re out of luck when it comes to earning tickets to cash out.  I know I said any country can join, but you will be limited in some regard.  That’s the problem.  To know if you are, go to the games list to see how many options you have.  If you see a good list, you’re in luck.  If not, you will want to skip out on the game.

For example, I live in the United States and I was able to choose from about 20+ games, most of which paid about 40 tickets per 15 minutes of gameplay on average.

How Do You Turn These Coins Into Cash?

To cash out, you need to have at least 80,000 coins and 2,200 tickets to cash out a minimum of $5.

Aside from the $5 reward, you can also choose from a $50 and $100 voucher.  If it’s Amazon you want, then you will have to wait until the $50 cash out, which is 1.5 million coins.  That’s a lot of time.

How Much Can I Earn?

Doing the math, I think you can earn about 5,000 to 8,000 coins a day if you were to click on everything on the list.

If you wanted to avoid the games and cash out for a $50 PayPal payout, you would need to click on this task list every day for about 300 days straight.  And, remember, you will have to wait at least an hour between clicks, so this means you will need to log in and remember to click three times a day.

Now, if you were to add in the tickets, which they incentivize you to do, then you could reach your payout much sooner.

Let’s say you can earn 50 tickets per 15 minutes of game play.  If you need 2,200 tickets to earn $5 in PayPal cash, you would need to play for about 35 hours and earn 80,000 coins, which isn’t much.

So, you have to ask yourself…

Is it worth playing a game for almost 40 hours to earn $5?  What about clicking on a task list EVERY DAY for a year to earn $50?  I don’t know about you but that seems like a waste of time to me.

What Others Are Saying

Combing through the Google Play Store reviews, I didn’t find much in terms of positivity.  There were a lot of negatives.

In summary, here’s what I found:

  • Initially, they enjoyed the app, but games no longer appear, and there’s no way to earn tickets. They attempted to reinstall the app and reach out to customer service to no avail.
  • They appreciated the app at first due to properly tracked games and quick payouts. However, the app stopped displaying games and consistently failed to process withdrawals upon reaching 1.5 million coins.
  • After using the app successfully for a month, they found the app could not load their habit records, reverted their status to a newbie, and all their coins and tickets disappeared.
  • They couldn’t find any games nor search for new ones. They also experienced issues exchanging coins. Despite sending their ID to customer service, they didn’t receive a response.
  • They reported app crashes, issues with game tracking, and an error that stated they needed more tickets to cash out, even though they had sufficient coins.
  • Although they initially enjoyed the health-promoting features, they are frustrated with the limited games and lack of payouts. They consider the app a waste of time.
  • They found the app effective initially, but now it frequently crashes and coins are not being earned due to games not loading. They expressed their disappointment.

Final Thoughts

0/10In the end, Habit Gift is a hard pass, as there just seem to be too many one star reviews and negative reviews.  It seems as if once you download the games, you will slowly see them disappear or if you have problems, the customer service seems to be lackluster.  The list goes on, as you can see in the reviews above.

Even if you were to use the app and they paid, playing games for 40+ hours for $5 isn’t worth your time.  The same can be said about logging in for a year.  There are just too many glitches to gamble.

That’s going to do it for now.

  • Yeah this app is trash….after spending nearly three weeks to get up to 80,000, then when I tried to redeem for the 5.00 gift card and wouldn’t you know they were out of gift cards.???? Then to add insult to injury….out of frustration I deleted the app and they took the first 5.00 gift that I had already redeemed back…and now the app is unavailable???? Yeah they are scam artists for sure.

  • What’s wrong with the app cuz I had it, then it disappeared and I can’t find it in Google play store anymore

    • So many apps will disappear, mostly because these developers take advantage of others. This seems to be the case here.

    • That just happened to me today, I’ve had no issues with the app, but I just went to go do my tasks & poof…app is gone & cannot be found.

    • Me too!!??? I can’t find anything. Every time I cashed out immediately and without a problem. Even if Google Play deleted it it should still be on the phone and mine just simply vanished. no matter what I do or where I look it is as if it never even existed!

  • I have used this app for over 2 months and have had zero issues with games, tickets, and cash outs. I have gotten cash out within 5 min. So far $50 over this amount of time.

  • I haven’t been able to get a hold of customer service I had to get a new phone and couldn’t get my account on new phone so my PayPal don’t work on new phone for this app I literally have two accounts my old phone works sometimes but I never had a issue cashing out.. But now the app don’t seem to be on the play store so I can’t get my accounts merged

  • What has happened to the app as its not letting me on it and can’t find it on Google play and I have alot of tokens and coins to withdraw.

  • I had this game on my phone my phone broke and now I can’t find it. I actually love the game. My husband has it on his phone why can’t I find it? If there going to take games off PlayStation why even put them on there. I want my gift habit back so put it back on PlayStation!!!

  • I’ve been using this app since Christmas Eve. I have actually received about $15 on a couple withdrawals. I have received over 1,500,000 coins and have tried to withdraw the $50 on my PayPal or a $50 Amazon gift card. Of course the $50 withdrawal on my PayPal says withdrawal failed and the $50 Amazon gift card is out of stock. I’ve been trying to do this for a few weeks and it says the same thing every time. No answer from customer service. I’ve emailed them I don’t know how many times not one response. If you look you can see that after you earn the $1 or the $5 exchange you have to have a certain amount of tickets also. So therefore I’m pretty much certain that $5 is all you’re going to get once and you can only withdraw once a day. But even if you have bookoos of coins You’re still only going to be able to withdraw $5 in a month or so because you still have to have the tickets which are only earned playing games. So I think I’ve earned all that I will earn from this app. It is a scam!!!! Also it cannot be found on Google Play as I see everybody else says. My phone deleted it off itself saying that it was harmful and at risk. The only way I was able to find it again was in my settings on my phone somehow. The only reason why I tried to do so is because I was getting close to try to get the $50 reward that I earned. I have done this religiously everyday for the last 3 months. This app is going to be deleted. And it really makes me nervous saying that my phone said it is a risk. I recommend not downloading this app.
