10 Jobs You Can Do From Your Phone

Did you know there are several jobs out there that you can do from your smartphone and nothing else?

In today’s guide, I wanted to talk about the many gigs, mainly freelance, that allow you to use your phone and nothing else.  You get to work at your pace, work as much as you want, and best of all, make money.  Some allow you to work from your home online whereas others may require you to leave your home.  I tried to include something for everyone.

As in everything I write, I only promote what’s valid, so you can be assured what I recommend is 100% legit… guaranteed.

10+ Jobs You Can Do From Your Cell Phone (Android/Apple)

Rideshare Driver

This is probably the most obvious one, but it’s one of my favorites.  You can easily gross $15+ per hour, depending on where you live.

It’s as easy as turning on the app whenever you please and then picking up passengers, taking them wherever they need to go.

Uber and Lyft are the most obvious choices, but many other alternatives are starting to pop up, too.

Food Delivery

Don’t want to drive people around?  I get it.

Instead, consider driving around food from a restaurant to the customer.  It’s another option that can pay you $12 to $20+ per hour and earn you a decent chunk of change every week.  Plus, the apps are very easy to use.

DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub are my favorites to check out if interested.

Survey Taker

As a warning, this one WILL NOT make you rich.  In fact, you won’t make a ton, maybe $5 to $10 a day.

If you’re happy with those numbers, then check out a few of my favorites such as Swagbucks, Quick Thoughts or Superpay.me.  There are many more, most of which you can find here.

With surveys, it’s as easy as answering survey questions and getting rewarded.  Most surveys take anywhere from seconds to 15+ minutes to complete.

Test Apps

I have written about this very topic before, wherein you can get paid to test apps as a beta tester.

It will be your job to download a mock app and then help the developer with any questions they may have.  Generally, you will have to voice your thoughts aloud when you’re using the app.  For example, they may ask you to add an item to your cart and let them know how easy the process is.

There are a lot of these companies out there, so I recommend you check out my post to see which companies make the most sense to you.  Be prepared to make $5 to $15~ per test.

Teach a Foreign Language

If you’re bilingual or even fluent in English, then consider teaching lessons via your phone’s camera.  This will be no different than video chatting with your friends.  You teach them a lesson or in some cases, you may teach based on the app’s lesson plans.

Preply and iTalki are a few of my favorites, but there are many more.  These are just two of the bigger name options.  Set your schedule, create a profile and wait for people to contact you to use you as their tutor.

No certification is required and you can earn upwards of $20+ per hour.

Be a Tasker with TaskRabbit

With an app such as TaskRabbit, you can use your smartphone to find what are known as “mini jobs” in your area.  Some of these jobs pay a few dollars, whereas some can pay well north of $50.

As a “tasker,” you can do anything, from assembling furniture to helping someone pick up a new couch.  It’s as easy as signing up and then viewing the job board to see the jobs  in your area.

You’re considered a freelancer, so you can work whenever you choose, even picking out the jobs that make the most sense to you.

YouTuber

This one will take some time, but it could lead to some nice paychecks.

The process in itself is simple.  Create a channel, pick out a niche and start filming.  I know, there’s more to it, but seeing YouTube is one of the most visited websites in the world, there’s money to be made.  I don’t have a particular resource, but YouTube is filled with hundreds of people helping you get your jump start.

Once you build an audience of at least 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours, you can start monetizing through YouTube’s partner program.  Expect to make $10 to $20~ per 1,000 views.

Instacart

As an Instacart shopper, you can grocery shop for people and then deliver the order to their door.

Like Uber, Doordash and the many apps mentioned prior, it’s as simple as buying the items on the shopping list and delivering once complete.  Jobs can pay anywhere from $5 to more than $50+.  It just depends on the store you’re shopping and when you do so.

As a shopper, you must be able to lift 40 pounds, pass a background check and have a reliable car.

Reseller

This seems to be one of the hotter jobs you see on YouTube nowadays.

As a reseller, you can browse local thrift stores, such as a Goodwill, and find items that you can potentially “flip.”  Sure, while you have to visit a location in person, you can do most of your work from your phone, from looking up prices to listing your items on Facebook Marketplace, eBay, etc.

Reselling isn’t all that hard to learn.  It’s as simple as looking at what people are paying on eBay.  To learn more, again, YouTube can be a gold mine of free information.

Final Thoughts

Today, it’s easier than ever to work from your phone, as you can see.

Whether you want a high-paying side job or something that pays a few dollars, there should be something for you to consider.  Just follow the links provided to learn more about the opportunity.

That’s going to do it for now.

As always, if you want to add an option and/or comment on the options mentioned, you’re more than welcome to add your thoughts to the comments below.
