Points2Shop is said to be one of the largest online, free rewards program. I wouldn’t say it’s the largest, as they claim, but it’s a fairly large organization, and it could be worth joining to make a few dollars in your spare time. Right now, the surveys are offered by Cint AB, which is a research/insights company located in Stockholm, Sweden. You can find out more about the company here. This merger just happened as of late and the company no longer operates as a standalone company.
Whether you’re looking to make money filling our surveys or maybe you wanted to research Points2Shop more in depth because you recently found out about them, I wanted to create this review to see if it’s worth your time.
As in all of my reviews, I’m always 100% honest, only recommending what I feel is worth your time.
How Points2Shop Works
Points2Shop is no different than your typical survey sites such as Swagbucks or Superpay.me. They offer a variety of ways to earn “credits” for completing activities such as surveys, offers, shopping online and much more. You can either use the website on your desktop or you can use your mobile app to earn credits while you’re on the go. In this review, I will talk about the many ways you can earn money as well as how much can earn in doing so.
Signing Up for Points2Shop
To sign up for a Points2Shop account, it’s not much different than most survey companies. They will ask for your email, birthday as well as a zip code to create an account.
Immediately after signing up, you can access your dashboard, which I will get into next.
You can sign up either via the desktop version or even through the company’s app. The website is open to most countries as long as you’re 18+. Points2Shop doesn’t specify which countries are accepted, but from my experience, it’s almost all of them. However, just because you can join, it doesn’t mean you will receive a ton of survey invites. Your demographics will vary.
Even though the sign-up process only takes a minute to complete, it doesn’t mean you can start taking surveys right away, as the company will want you to fill out your profile just like the many research companies out there. Yes, you can take surveys, but you will find that many of the surveys will reject you as you won’t meet their demographics.
These companies want to know more about your profile so that they can send you surveys that are targeted specifically to you. After all, why would you want a survey on dog food when you don’t even own a dog?
As you can see in the screenshot above, they want you to answer a variety of questions, from household to healthcare. Most sections have about 20-40 questions and they are very simple one-answer questions. If you were to fill out the entire profile, it would probably take you about 30 to 40 minutes I would say.
Again, you don’t have to complete these profiles, but I do recommend you do so in order to receive targeted survey opportunities.
The great thing about the surveys section is that it’s straightforward. What you see is what you get, at least in terms of rewards, and it’s laid out quite nicely.
As you can see, you will see how long the survey takes as well as how much you will get paid.
For example, that first survey will take you 10 minutes and pay you $0.88 upon completion. Granted, you won’t qualify for all of these surveys, but as a rule of thumb, about 20%~ will net you some cash.
Remember, these surveys will never pay a ton. I’m only talking $0.50 to $2, but if you complete the quicker ones, those $0.50 surveys can add up. As long as you’re happy with $5 a day or so, you won’t be disappointed with these surveys.
When it comes time to cash out, you will need at least $5 to do so. This tends to be the industry average and isn’t that high.
As for rewards, the company offers the following options:
- GCodes (100s of retail/restaurant gift cards)
After you request a payout, you should receive your payment within 24 to 48 hours.
- payouts seem to be great
- reports of people making $50+ per month
- decent reward section
- low payout threshold
- some reports of being banned
- lots of disqualifications
Final Thoughts5/10In the end, Points2Shop.com seems to be okay.
The dashboard is easy to use, the surveys seem to be plenty and the payouts seem to be okay. It seems to be an industry average survey site that I believe you can earn $3 to $5 a day, maybe more, maybe less. It will depend on how often you log in as well as your demographics. Nonetheless, if you sign up, let it be known that you are dealing with a reputable website, so if you do finish a survey, they will pay out.
Will I say it’s the best?
I wouldn’t say so. I would put it in the middle, the reason I would probably give it an average score.
That’s going to wrap it up.
As always, if you want to comment on the company or want to add to what I have written, you’re more than welcome to do so in the comments below.
