The QuickThoughts app is one of the many money-making apps on the Google Play and iTunes marketplace.

But what makes QuickThoughts different is that is one of the highest-rated apps in its category (at least while I write this) and is highly regarded by the Reddit Beer Money community.  That’s quite the honor.  As I’m writing this, the app has more than one million downloads and a solid 4.1 out of 5-star review, and it’s not slowing down anytime soon.

Curious as to how this app works, I figured it was time to download this app and play with it for a few weeks.  Any time I see people talk about an app online, I always want to jump in and see if it’s worth the hype, no matter what people say about it.  It’s hard to trust people online, so I always want to judge on my own.

As with all of my reviews, they are 100% honest, no matter what kind of ties I have with the company.  And, I will never, ever promote something I don’t believe in.

If you’re interested in the QuickThoughts app and/or want to know what it’s all about, then strap in, because I’m about to show you what it’s all about as well as offer my thoughts as to whether or not it’s worth your time near the end.

QuickThoughts App Review:  Legit or Scam?

What is the QuickThoughts App?

The QuickThoughts app is operated by the company, Survey Sampling International, LLC, an LLC beneath the Dynata, LLC umbrella.  The company was founded in 1977 and operates many other online panels, including Opinion Outpost, SurveySpot and OpinionWorld, to name a few.

Today, they are based out of Shelton, Connecticut with more than 3,300 employees and work with multiple Fortune 500 companies.

In all of my reviews, it’s so important to know who’s behind the app as this can say a lot about it before you even begin.  If you can find a lot of information, such as contact information and even a Wikipedia page, then it’s often a good sign you’re working with someone legit.  However, even though the company is 100% legitimate, it doesn’t mean the app is worth the download as it may not be worth your time.

According to the official app description, the QuickThoughts app will reward you with Amazon gift cards anytime you complete a paid survey or local mission.  The surveys are straight-forward, letting you know what you’re going to earn before you even begin.

At this moment, QuickThoughts is only available for mobile devices and tablets.

Signing Up for QuickThoughts

Registering with the QuickThoughts app was self-explanatory and worked no differently than any other survey app.

Unlike most survey sites, however, QuickThoughts will only work with your cellphone or tablet.  There is no desktop version.  That can be a bummer for some.

To sign up, you first be asked to read the terms and conditions, followed by entering your personal details, from your email to your address.  This is what the sign-up screen looks like…

The whole process takes about five minutes to complete and allows you instant access to your dashboard upon completion.

And, best of all, it’s 100% free to join.

Making Money With QuickThoughts

Once you register, you can then view the many surveys you qualify for.   This is what your dashboard will look like the minute you join…

Like any survey site, the number of surveys you can take really depends on your demographics.  You may be able to complete 50+ a month, whereas your friend may only receive 5.  Not everyone will have the same experience, so it’s hard for me to give you a definite answer.

When you sign up, make it a habit to log in and see what kind of surveys you qualify for.

How many surveys should I expect to receive?

As mentioned, the number of surveys you receive greatly depends on your demographics, but as an average, plan on anywhere from 5 to 10+ surveys daily, with payouts between $0.50 to $5+ each.  Some days, you could receive 10+, whereas you may find other days where you will see next to nothing.

For me, I always had access to surveys.  In fact, for fun, I tried to see how many surveys I could take in a day, and it was well over 5+.  Remember, your results will vary, so I can’t stress this enough.  After 5-10, it appears the app will cut you off and you will have to wait about 24 hours before you can start taking them again.

How much can I earn?

Researching online, I see reports of people earning anywhere from $3 to as much as $10+ per day, making it one of the highest-paying survey apps by far.  Personally, I played around with it for only a few weeks and could easily average $5 a day.  Yes, that’s a gift card every other day.  And, if you don’t believe me, here are the gift cards I added in the past few weeks:

Most of the surveys only take five to 20+ minutes to complete and post to your account almost immediately.   Like any survey app, you will be able to see what each survey is worth before you even take it.

I feel as long as you’re in the right demographic, you can earn $5 a day.

TIP:  Turn on Location Services

Aside from the default surveys they send you, they also offer the opportunity to earn even more if you turn your location services on.

In this instance, the app may send you a survey based on your phone’s activity and/or may send you a mission of sort.  For example, they may ask you to take a picture of a shelf at a nearby store.

As long as you don’t mind letting the app know where you have been, this can add even more cash to your balance.

Rewards

QuickThoughts makes it extremely easy to redeem your rewards.

Once you hit $10 in rewards, you can cash out for an Amazon.com gift card, that’s it.  I know it may be a bummer for some as many of you are looking for PayPal cash, but this could be the next best thing.

To cash out, just hit the redeem button, and as long as everything looks good, you should receive your payment almost immediately.

It’s as simple as waiting for a $10 balance and cashing out.

What Others Think

These reviews aren’t always about my opinion, and for that reason, I like to scan the web and see what other people think.

In this section, I explore both the pros and cons of the QuickThoughts app.  Just remember that no matter how great an opportunity is, there are always complainers, so take the cons with a grain of salt.

Here’s what I found…

The Pros

One of the highest paying apps, with some people reporting making upwards of $10 per day.

Most of the surveys take less than 10 minutes to complete.

Multiple survey opportunities every day, sometimes as many as 20+ invites.

Fast payment option, sometimes almost instant.

Very easy to use.

The Cons

You can only cash out via an Amazon gift code.  This can be looked at as a con to some.

Some members complain you need to have a W-9 on file once you make more than $500 a year.  Not really a con, but some people don’t like sharing this information to continue.

Reports of members being locked out for no reason with on responses from customer service.

It’s only available on your phone as there is no desktop version.

Final Thoughts

9/10In the end, I’m going to give QuickThoughts a solid 9 out of 10.  It’s an awesome app that can potentially earn you $100+ in a month and won’t eat up a lot of your time.  This is very rare in the money-making app world.

The only reason I’m going to knock them down one notch from a perfect score is that you only have one payment option.  While Amazon is fantastic, some people do prefer cash.  Not a deal breaker, though.

In the end, you should be quite happy with this app if you don’t mind answering a question here and there.  If downloading it, I can almost assure you that it will be a top-five earning app for you.   It’s 100% legitimate, and is backed by a very reputable company that has paid out tens of millions to its members as of today.

For now, check it out.  I can almost guarantee you that it will keep you busy for weeks to come.  Worst case, you can always uninstall it if you don’t like the results.
