Repocket: Get Paid for Unused Internet (review)

Repocket claims you can make money passively just by setting up their software on your device. Sounds cool for those who want to get some cash without much hassle, right?

But before you dive in, it’s a good idea to do your homework and understand what you’re signing up for.

In today’s review, et me break down what Repocket is all about, so you can decide if it’s right for you.  As in all of my reviews, I’m always 100% honest, only recommending what I feel is worth your time.

Let’s begin!

What is Repocket?

Repocket is a platform that pays you simply for having its software on your device. It’s legit, and they do pay, but that doesn’t mean it’s the best fit for everyone. To know if it’s your kind of thing, you should understand how it works.

Now, there are a few ways you can earn cash, aside from installing the software.  Below, I talk about the app in detail as well as what you can expect from each portion.

Getting Started

First, let me show you how you can sign up for an account if you’re interested in the app after reading this review.

To get started, the app won’t ask for much.  Just give them your name, email address as well as create a password and you’re good to go.

Once you confirm your email, you will be asked to tweak some settings so that the app can take full advantage.  If you don’t enable these settings, you will not be able to make money with the software portion.  Keep this in mind.

Repocket is open to almost all countries except for North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Syria, or Venezuela.  You need to be at least 18+ years or older to join.

Earning with Repocket

The main way you earn is simply by installing the software.  You will install their software and let it do its thing in the background. What’s neat about Repocket’s software is that it’s friendly with a bunch of devices. Whether you’re on Android, iOS, Mac, Windows, or even Linux, you’re good to go.

So, what’s the software doing, you may be wondering?

It uses your internet to help its clients with tasks like price checks and competitor research. If you’ve heard of Honeygain, for example, it’s kind of the same vibe. And don’t worry – they keep it anonymous. From what I read, they will know your IP address, internet service provider, and city, but that’s it. No sneaky personal data collection.

Earning with Offers

When I explored the app, I found they had paid offers as well.

These paid offers are mini-tasks you can do to get some extra rewards. Think answering surveys, playing games, or signing up on websites. Each task will give you specific steps to follow, so it’s important that you follow them to get rewarded.

Mostly, what you’re going to see is that they work with many third-party providers that you can find on so many other apps.  Simply put, nothing is unique here.

Now, don’t expect a flood of these offers. When I was checking it out, there weren’t that many. So, see it as a little bonus every now and then.

Referring Friends

Repocket has a referral program if you’re interested in inviting your friends and earning even more cash.

If your friends use your invite link to sign up and actually get on board with using the software, they become your referral. Once they get their first payout, you get a $5 reward. Aside from this, you earn 10% of whatever they make on the platform thereafter.

In my view, it’s a great way to get some extra rewards. Just make sure the people you invite are genuinely interested in Repocket.  Don’t spam as you will be your account in jeopardy.

Getting Paid

Once you sign into Repocket, you’ll see a dashboard showing all your earnings. You can keep tabs on what you’re making, either weekly or monthly. But here’s the catch: You’ve got to hit at least $20 before you can cash out.

Feels a bit steep, right?

But the great thing is that they pay through PayPal, which is the best option to have, in my opinion. And they’re hinting at adding more payment options soon.

What Can I Earn With Repocket?

As for what you can earn, it depends.

Where you are, your device, internet speed, and how many devices you’re using all play a part as to what you can earn.

With this app, you can only use up to two devices on the same internet connection. If you add more, they should be on different networks, but the limit on ONE network is two devices.

The pay rate at the time of this writing is $0.20 for every gigabyte of data you share.

As noted above, you will need at least $20 to cash out, so it could take some time as you won’t reach this payout quickly.  If you read a lot of reviews online, they say the earnings are very slow, usually no more than $0.20~ per day.  At that rate, it could take up to 100~ days to earn $20 in rewards.  Your results will vary, but just don’t expect much.  I want to be honest here.

And, if you’re worried about your internet crawling to a halt, you should be able to use it as usual, unless you’re up to super data-heavy tasks.

  4. Some users have earned money from it
  5. User-friendly interface
  6. Bonuses are available
  7. Repocket’s PC version has been used and liked by some in the past

The Cons

  1. Many bugs reported
  2. App perceived as slow
  3. VPN blocks the utility of the app
  4. Some users claim it’s pointless to share bandwidth
  5. Earnings reported as very low by many
  6. No significant movement or function on both Android and Windows version for some users
  7. Technical issues with the app not showing earnings
  8. Issues with the app’s display over other apps
  9. Connectivity problems, especially with Wi-Fi

Final Thoughts

4/10Repocket isn’t a get-rich-quick gig. But for what it’s worth, it’s an easy way to make a bit on the side without breaking a sweat. Just remember, reaching that $20 might take a bit and you may not see that payout for at least two to four months. If you’re good with all this, hit up their website and sign up.  The nice thing is that they offer a $5 bonus to get started.  What I do like is that you can just set it up on your phone and forget about it.  If that $20 every few month is worth it to you, then consider it.

If Repocket isn’t up your alley or you can’t join, there are other cool passive income apps you might want to check out.

That’s going to wrap it up.
