Does StickerRide Pay You to Wrap Your Car? (review)

In today’s review, let’s talk about StickerRide, which is an app that offers to pay you for wrapping your car in advertisements.  I have mentioned them a few times, but I never reviewed them in detail.  That changes today.

StickerRide turns your car into a moving billboard, and it’s quite similar to another platform called Wrapify. These platforms offer you money to wrap your car in ads. It’s not just about slapping a sticker on your car and expecting cash to roll in, though. There are several aspects to consider, such as the type of ads, how they affect your car’s appearance, and the potential earnings.

But it’s not just about the money. You should also think about how you feel about driving around with ads on your car. Some people love the idea and don’t mind the look. For others, the appearance of their car is important, and they might not like the idea of covering it with ads.

Now, you might be wondering, “Is this for real or just another online scam?”

I want to clear this up right away in that StickerRide is legitimate, and they really do pay you for advertising on your vehicle.  However, just because it’s legitimate, it doesn’t always mean it’s worth your time.

Today, we need to dive into what StickerRide is all about and what it offers.  As in all of my reviews, I will guide you through it, so you can decide if it’s a fit for you.

Let’s begin!

Joining

As I write this, the app is currently available in eight countries. These include the United States, United Kingdom, France, Russia, China, South Korea, Brazil, and Japan. So, if you’re living in any of these countries, you’re in luck and can sign up as a member.

However, it’s important to note that StickerRide isn’t available in every city within these countries. The opportunities are typically found in larger cities. This means if you’re in a rural area, you might not find any ad campaigns, which is a key part of how StickerRide works.

Signing up is pretty straightforward.

All you need to do is download the StickerRide app on your device and go through the registration process. Once you’re registered, you can start exploring the ad campaigns available in your area. Keep in mind, your location plays a big role in the number of opportunities you’ll find.

Let’s talk about these ad campaigns.

StickerRide Ad Campaigns

When you sign up with StickerRide, you get access to a variety of ad campaigns in your area. Just log into their app, and you will see all the options available.  And, if you find a campaign that catches your eye, go ahead and apply for it. If you’re selected, a StickerRide representative will reach out to you with details on where and when to bring your car for the ad sticker or decal installation.

You might be worried about these stickers damaging your car’s paint, but StickerRide assures that there won’t be any damage, especially if you get them removed at one of their partner shops.

Once the sticker is on your car, snap a picture, upload it to the app, and you’re all set. The app will then switch to mapping mode to start tracking your driving. It’s important to remember to hit the “Start” button in the campaign section of the app every time you drive. Without this, the app can’t track your mileage or the areas you’ve driven in, and you won’t earn any rewards.

The app uses your phone’s GPS to track your journey, calculating the miles you drive, the time spent driving, and the zones you travel through. This information then translates into points. But, you will want to keep in mind that not all driving is valued the same. For instance, driving in busy city zones during peak hours will earn you more points than cruising through suburban areas at midnight.

The reason behind this is simple.

StickerRide wants its ads to be seen by as many people as possible. Driving during busy times means more eyes on your car and the ad, leading to higher points for you.

At the end of each day, take a moment to snap a photo of your car showing the ad is still there. This step is crucial for verifying your points.

StickerRide Ad Campaign Quests

Another aspect of StickerRide  is its ad campaign quests.

These quests are special opportunities that pop up occasionally, offering you a chance to earn extra points on top of what you’re already making from the ad campaign. They’re not a regular occurrence, so whenever you see one, it’s a smart move to jump on it.

Think of these quests as little missions.

For example, they might ask you to drive to a specific location at a certain time or even participate in events like flash mobs. The good news is that these quests are usually pretty straightforward to complete. Once you have done what’s asked, you will be rewarded with additional points.

So, if you’re already participating in an ad campaign through StickerRide, keep an eye out for these quests. They are an excellent way to boost your earnings and add a bit of fun to your driving experience.

How Much Can I Make?

The amount you earn largely depends on where you live. In big cities like Los Angeles, for example, you’re likely to find a lot of opportunities to earn money. However, in smaller towns, the chances of getting ad campaigns are slimmer. You might be lucky to get even one campaign a year in these places.

Now, to understand how to maximize your earnings, it’s essential to know about StickerRide’s point system.

Each ad campaign has a specific “tariff” or “multiplier,” which is based on four factors: the geographical location, the time you drive, the class of your car, and the type of stickers chosen.

If your daily driving includes busy city areas during rush hours, your earning potential increases. This is because StickerRide values visibility and there are more people to see the ads during these times and places. On the other hand, if you tend to drive in less populated areas or outside of peak hours, you won’t rack up as many points, leading to lower earnings.

It’s all about your location and driving habits when it comes to making money with StickerRide. Generally, the earning potential is decent, especially in the right circumstances. So if you’re in a busy area and drive a lot during peak hours, StickerRide could be a handy way to earn some extra cash.

Getting Paid

As for getting paid, it’s a straightforward process, but there are a few things you need to know.

First, it all starts when you drive with the ad sticker on your car. As noted, remember to press the “Start” button in the app before you set off, as this tracks your journey and helps you earn points.  Be sure to track these miles as many people have complained that it doesn’t track the miles you’re driving.

StickerRide uses a system of earned and verified points. The points you get from driving are your earned points. But, for these points to count towards your earnings, they need to be verified by StickerRide. This is an important step because only verified points can be cashed out.

And, verifying your points is easy.

Just click on them in the app and follow the prompt to take a photo of your car. Once you submit the photo, StickerRide will verify your points, making them ready for withdrawal. It’s a good idea to make this a daily habit.

Now, let’s talk numbers.

Each verified point is worth $0.1, and to cash out, you need to earn at least 1,000 verified points, which equals $100. This threshold isn’t explicitly mentioned on their website, but it’s the general consensus among users.

When you reach the threshold, you can withdraw your earnings via direct bank transfer. This is the only payment method offered by StickerRide. If you’re hesitant about sharing your banking details with an app, keep in mind that such information is typically used only for withdrawal purposes. In my experience, sharing banking details with legitimate platforms is quite safe and is a convenient way to receive earnings.

The Pros:

  • Offers an innovative way to earn extra money.
  • Provides a user-friendly app interface.

The Cons:

  • Frequent app stability issues and bugs.
  • Difficulty with app registration and lack of response from support.
  • Significant delays in receiving stickers and earning points.
  • Limited availability of ad campaigns, especially outside major cities.
  • Earning potential is restricted by daily mileage limits.
  • Concerns about privacy and continuous location tracking.

Final Thoughts

In the end, StickerRide offers a unique way to earn extra cash by driving around with an ad sticker on your vehicle. It’s a legitimate advertising platform with some interesting features, but like anything else, it has its ups and downs.

StickerRide provides an easy method to make some extra money, and it’s pretty straightforward.  All you need to do is drive around with an ad on your car and get paid. Plus, their app is user-friendly, making the whole process quite simple.

However, there are a few downsides.

The opportunities to earn money are limited, especially if you’re not in a big city. Also, you need to commit a fair amount of time to really benefit from it. You will find the most success if you regularly drive in populated areas during busy times.  If you don’t live in a busy city, then I probably wouldn’t even bother.  This was a huge complaint among the reviews I read online.

StickerRide isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution, either.

If you don’t mind having ad stickers on your car, which might not always look great, it could be a good fit. But if the appearance of your car is important to you, then this might not be the best option.

Remember, to make a significant amount with StickerRide, you need to be able to drive frequently in busy areas. If that’s not something you can do regularly, your earnings might be modest.  Even if you’re accepted, you won’t make much at all.  Just don’t expect to get rich.

That’s going to do it for now.
