Gamee App Review: Not Your Typical Gaming App

The Gamee app has more than 10 million downloads and a very good 4.5/5 rating.  With that type of rating, I wanted to download it and see if it lived up to the hype.

According to the company, you can play more than 70+ mini-games and win prizes.  It’s similar to that of Lucky Day, wherein you won’t earn anything, per se, but rather, you have to gamble. So, if you want to earn something like the many companies I talk about, you can’t do it here.  Rather, it’s a lottery-like app.  If you want to test your luck, that’s fine, but I usually don’t recommend these apps unless you want to pass the time and don’t care about earning anything.

What is Gamee?

Gamee will reward you for playing simple games.  It’s a legitimate website that will reward you if you win; however, it’s not like the many apps that pay you for every minute you play a game.  You only get a chance to win prizes, so there’s no guarantee.  Please keep that in mind.

Gamee was founded in 2015 and is currently headquartered in Prague, Czech Republic with about 11-50 employees, according to the official Crunchbase profile.  The company has raised more than $4 million from 8+ investors.

Now, just because a company is legit, which this one is, it doesn’t always mean it’s worth your time.

Let’s take a look at how the app works in detail.

Playing Games and Earn Tickets

The app focuses mainly on games, where you will have the chance to win tickets, in which you can, later on enter into raffles.  I will get into this later.

Again, I can’t stress this enough that you won’t earn anything.  It’s all luck because you will have to enter the raffle tickets into the random drawings.

When you download the app, you can view the most current games as well as what’s expected of you to earn the number of tickets noted.

So, for example, in that screenshot, the Karate Kido 2 game will reward you with 60 tickets if you survive for 10 seconds.  Qube 2048 will get you 50 tickets if you score 35,000 points.  If you complete all three of these missions, you will earn a 100 ticket bonus.  These always vary and change every day.

When you log in, you will see a green box like above, which will offer you a bonus if you meet all of the missions on the checklist; however, you can scroll down and play games individually.  The green box is ideal if you want to earn a multiplier of sorts.

For example, this was a portion of the games I saw when I was using the app.  And, mainly, you should see about 30-60 games at any given moment, but like any app, this can change based on advertiser demand, etc.

It’s the same thing.  Read what you have to do and you can see how many tickets you can earn, etc.

The fun thing about the app, if we want to look at the bright side, is that you can unlock extra games as you rise in the levels.  The more you play and earn, the higher your level can go.

Prizes and Rewards

As mentioned, you don’t earn money while you play.  Instead, you have to test your luck with the many prizes on the site.  Simply put, it’s a raffle.

For every ticket you earn, you can enter into certain raffles.

For instance, you can see in the screenshot above that you will need at least 10,000 tickets to enter the prize pool for the week.  If you wanted to win the $10,000 jackpot, using the 1st chance and 2nd chance button, would require you to pick numbers like that of a lotto.  The more numbers you match, the more you can win.

These raffles always change, and I’m sure you’re competing with thousands.  However, if you were to win, it could be well into the thousands.

Beware of ads!

No matter what you do on the app, they almost always want you to watch a 30-second ad.

Want to enter the lottery?  Have to watch an ad.

Want to start playing a game?  Have to watch an ad first.

Of course, they have to make money, but seeing they don’t share much with us, it’s hard to justify it as these ads are making them a lot of money.

Making Cash with PayPal

As I said, you can only gamble and win on the platform; however, you can earn PayPal cash.  But, again, it’s all at random.

Most of your “cash” will be earned whenever you spin the wheel on the app.  You can win it in the “lucky game” as well, which requires you to pick lucky numbers.

You can spin the wheel multiple times a day and win raffle tickets, cash and other randomized prizes.  However, in order to spin this wheel, you often have to watch a few ads before you do so.

At most, you can win up to $1 per spin and up to 50+ raffle tickets, on average.  Whenever you win, it’s added to your account instantly.

Once you hit at least $10 in PayPal cash, you can request a payout and it’s usually paid out within a few days.  PayPal is the only way to make money on the app.

Signing Up

If you want to sign up for an account and test your luck, you can do so by connecting your Google or Facebook account or you can sign up directly on the website.  All they ask for is a name and email, that’s it.

The process takes about 30 seconds to sign up and you can get started right away.

Gamee is available to everyone worldwide, but you will need a PayPal account to get paid.  As long as you have a PayPal account, you’re good to go.

The Pros:

  • available worldwide
  • fun games
  • mobile friendly

The Cons:

  • all luck – you can’t “earn” cash
  • limited game options
  • takes a LONG time to earn $10
  • have to watch countless ads
  • poor ratings online

Final Thoughts

2/10I don’t like these types of apps, mainly because you can’t earn money.  It’s more of a gambling app.  I just wanted to review it because it had so many positive reviews.

If you want to play games and then test your luck with the raffle tickets, then give it a shot.  For me, I just don’t like the lottery-type games.  I’d rather earn something for doing something if that makes sense.

While the app is 100% legitimate, I wouldn’t expect much from it, if anything.  Even if you work hard at it, you will find it very hard to get to that $10 minimum if you ever get there.

That does it for now.
