There’s probably a good chance you read your emails at least once a day, right?

Well, what if I told you that there are legitimate ways to get paid while reading your emails?

If you’re already opening your email inbox, then why not take a few minutes of your day to view a couple of emails to make a few bucks a month.

Sure, you’re not going to get rich in doing this, but it could be a nice way to at least make a few dollars a month to fund a movie, dinner out or even save toward a vacation.

If you like the idea of getting paid to read emails, then strap in and take a look at the many reputable organizations that do so.

How does it even work?

Before I even begin to tell you all of the companies that will pay you to read emails, I first want to quickly explain how it works.

In short, these companies will receive incentives from advertisers that just want their message out there, and in order to confirm the number of people that at least saw their ad, they simply ask you to click on a link within your email.  Every confirmation means at least one view.  Branding 101.

So, let me give you an example…

On Swagbucks, one of the companies I’m about to mention, I was paid five points, equivalent to $0.05, if I simply clicked on a link that took me to some resort hotels in a beach city.

In this scenario, the beach city got its exposure, I got paid, and the company took its cut.

In some cases, you could make even more if you followed the link and signed up, sometimes as much as $50 or even more.

All of the companies I’m about to mention work in the same way, wherein you will receive an email, you will open a link and then click on the confirmation link to confirm that you viewed it.  Then, your account should be credited for the amount mentioned in the email, usually around a few cents.  Hey, as I mention, you won’t get rich doing this!

So, now you know the basics, let’s jump and really explore the legitimate opportunities if you’re interested in getting paid to read emails.

How to Get Paid Reading Emails (Legit and Free)

InboxDollars

Since 2000, millions of members have joined InboxDollars, one of the largest “get paid” websites, wherein you can make money in a variety of ways, including reading emails.

Known as the PaidEmails program, InboxDollars will reward you every time you click on the confirm button anytime it sends you an email to your personal email address.  While you can sign up for some of the offers inside of your email address to earn even more, it isn’t necessary.

Aside from getting paid to read emails, the company also offers rewards you to take surveys, watch TV, play games, search the web and so much more.  Using no silly points system, InboxDollars simply rewards you with cash and that’s it!

Swagbucks

Swagbucks will send you promotional emails to your personal email on file, however, you won’t make money with these emails as they are often news updates, etc.

You can make money checking emails with Swagbucks, but instead of checking your personal email account, you will want to check your emails via your official Swagbucks dashboard to make some money.

Here, you will find a ton of promotional messages, but the key here to make sure you look for the easy “click and earn” emails like below:

As it implies, all you need to do is open the email, click on the URL, and in doing so, you will be rewarded.  So, in that example, I would get $0.05 just for opening the email.

You won’t make a ton with emails via Swagbucks, but I just wanted to let you know it is an option.

If you do sign up, I highly recommend you at least look at the surveys and offers section as this is where you can make most of your money.

  • Website:  Swagbucks (follow for a $5 signup bonus)

MyPoints

MyPoints is almost a clone of that of InboxDollars, only that I think they are a pinch better in the survey department, but that’s beside the point, seeing we are talking about getting paid to read emails.

MyPoints has a program known as BonusMails, wherein you will get paid anytime you read a BonusMail and either shop and/or complete a transaction.

After signing up, just keep your eyes peeled for an offer in your inbox and be sure to follow the instructions to ensure you get credited.

And to make sure you’re getting as many BonusMails opportunities as possible, MyPoints simply asks that you fill out your profile in depth to ensure they can match up offers to send out.

Read more about MyPoints in my personal review to see if it’s worth signing up for.

FusionCash

FusionCash is quite possibly one of the highest paying survey websites I have ever researched.  I highly recommend you at least check them out for this alone as you can make $5+ in some cases!

But, aside from their great high-paying surveys, they also send out daily cash emails to registered members via its Daily Cash Email program.

If you do sign up, you will have to agree to the terms and register for the program, but all it takes is a simple click of the button and confirming your email address.  Even if you don’t like the emails they send out, you can always unsubscribe if you so choose.

SendEarnings (now Inbox Dollars)

Over the years, SendEarnings has paid out more than $35 million to its members and has been seen on prominent TV shows such as the Today Show and even Good Morning America.  It has quite a reputation.

The company has also partnered with some of the largest brands in the United States and basically needs your help to provide customer input, all of which you’re rewarded for.

Once you register and confirm your email address, SendEarnings will send out PaidEmails, all of which are sent out based on your activity.  So, if you’re active, you can receive up to three emails a day, but if you do not actively participate, you may not see anything.

Aside from getting paid to read emails, you can also get paid with surveys, video games, surfing the web and much more.  It’s 100% free to join.

InboxPays

InboxPays is yet another way that will reward you read emails, but not only that, but they will also reward you to complete offers as well.  I wrote about them in depth in the past, so I do recommend you check my review out to see what they are all about.

In short, once you register, you will start to receive what’s known as Cash Mail, and in order to receive “credits,” you will need to click on the image or link inside of the email.  It’s important to note that this will only work from a desktop or laptop as the FAQ notes that mobile devices will not work.

You can earn up to $25 per payment request, but anything exceeding this will not count toward your next payout.  This is something important to keep in mind.

Also, be sure to add the company’s domain to your safe sender’s list to ensure that you’re not missing out on any opportunities!

Plan on receiving about three emails per day.

Paid to Read Emails (be careful with this one)

If you already searched for ways to get paid to read emails, then there’s a good chance you saw the domain, Paid-to-Read-Emails.com, pop up in your search results.

As the name implies, Paid-to-Read-Emails.com will reward you with both cash and points for every email you read.  In many cases, as long as the email is “guaranteed paid emails,” it means you will get credited instantly upon opening.

Payments are said to be anywhere from $0.01 to $0.10 for every email you open and read, but to get credit, however, it’s so important that you read the directions in order to get your credit.  Some may ask you to click a link, whereas another may ask you to make a purchase.  It’s quite random.

The website has a $15 minimum, and once you hit this threshold, you can either cash out via Paypal or choose from a variety of gift card options.

Cash4Offers.com

This is one of the lesser known GPT-like websites, but they do pay you to read emails every day as long as you’re registered on the website.  The great thing about this website is that they do accept international members!

Like most of these websites that I mention, all you need to do is click on the confirmation message inside of your email in order to get your credits.

According to the FAQ, you should expect to receive one to two emails per day as long as your account is in good standing.

UniqueRewards

While I wouldn’t say this website is “unique” in the way it offers rewards, it does pay you to read emails.

Every day, they will send up to three paid emails, all of which you can make up to $50+ each!

However, in order to earn the maximum amount, you will need to sign up for an offer to be credited that much.  If you plan on just confirming and doing nothing else, then most confirmations will pay at least $0.01.

Aside from reading emails and getting rewarded, UniqueRewards also rewards you to complete offers, take surveys, shop, watch videos and even listen to the radio.

UniqPaid

Yes, the website looks quite outdated, but I can promise you they are legitimate and do pay.

It’s 100% free, and best of all, they are open to members worldwide, not just the United States, making for a great option for my overseas friends.

Like a lot of these programs, UniqPaid will pay you to read emails as long as you confirm the link.  UniqPaid also rewards you to complete offers, read emails and even complete tasks.

There is no minimum payment and you can even choose Bitcoin if you choose.

**Avoid the Scams**

As my final notes, it’s important that the “get paid to read emails” industry has a lot of scams.

To be certain you don’t fall victim to a scam, just make sure you never pay for information or offer sensitive information.  While it’s okay to give out your name and, of course, an email address, never ever share sensitive data such as your social security number, etc.  Just be smart about it.

If you stick to the many I already mentioned, I can assure you that you will be fine, however, if you find one that’s not on this list, be very careful as I did my research and was sure to include as many legitimate options as possible for both U.S. and international residents.

If you ever have a question in regards to a company I didn’t mention, be sure to ask me via the contact form or comments section below for more help.

Final Thoughts

You’re not going to make a ton reading emails.  In fact, I think you would be lucky enough to make more than $5 in a month.

The only reason I wrote this guide is simply based on the fact that I like to explore every money-making option since some people may find value in reading emails while others simply want to be educated as to whether or not it’s actually worth it.

To me, I don’t read emails to make money because I don’t find it worth my time, but I do like some of the platforms I mentioned, namely Swagbucks and MyPoints, to name a few.   On these platforms, I usually focus on the surveys and some high-paying offers as this is usually how I make about $150~ a month in my spare time.

For now, I would look in other ways to make money as there just isn’t that much money in reading emails.  If you want to, however, go for it as it will only eat up five seconds of your time in most cases.  Those little point values do add up in many cases.

While the platforms I mentioned are worth at least checking out, let it be known that you won’t strike it rich reading emails nor will you even make enough to buy a combo meal at your local Wendy’s!
