Unique Rewards Review: Read my Experience

UniqueRewards is one of the many survey companies out there that pay you to take surveys, complete offers and even read emails, to name a few.

I have mentioned them briefly before, but I figured it was time to create a review.  Eventually, I want to review every way to make money online, mostly in the “survey” world.  Yes, I know it can be a challenge, but I feel as if I can get there sooner or later!  It will just take some time, right?

If you’re a fan of the survey sites like I am, UniqueRewards may be one to consider.  But, like so many of them out there, it may not be worth your time, seeing some pay out peanuts.  Seeing I haven’t signed up for them just yet, I did so that I could do the dirty work to let you know if they are worth your time.

UniqueRewards Review:  Legitimate or Scam?

As in all of my reviews, I only recommend something I personally would use and would never sway you into signing up for something just because it makes me money.  I don’t work like that here!

In today’s review, I will cover how it works, how much you can make as well as what I think about the business overall.  With all of that out of the way, let’s begin!

What is UniqueRewards?

Upon landing on the website, it appears as if it hasn’t been updated for quite some time.  While this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it can say one or two things to me.  It could either mean the site is now defunct and they are no longer updating and/or they just simply don’t want to upgrade their design for one reason or another.  I don’t judge on design solely, but I know it can turn off some, I get it.

According to the company’s official “about us” page, they were founded in 2003 as a “fascinating” way to earn extra cash without leaving your home.  You can receive quick customer support as well as a great variety of new offers and surveys.  While a company can say what they want, who knows if it’s true or not.

The company, from what I see, is based in the United Kingdom and has both an e-mail address to contact them as well as an ICQ and Yahoo! ID if you wish to chat.  If that’s active, who knows?  I know I haven’t even heard the term Yahoo! ID or ICQ in years now.

I’ll be honest.  When I first landed on the site and attempted to sign up, I was unsure if they were still active.  The ICQ/Yahoo! ID really showed me how outdated they could be and the footer date was off by a year.  Again, it doesn’t mean they are a scam, but I was just unsure of what kind of operation I was dealing with.

Signing Up

To sign up, the company wants you to fill out a very basic form, from your personal information, such as your name and address to confirming your email.  The entire sign-up process took me about three minutes.

One thing to note is that the website did claim that you could earn a 10% cash bonus both today as well as tomorrow for any offer you complete.  While it isn’t a huge bonus, it’s never a bad thing to earn more cash.

To qualify as a member, you must reside in the U.S., United Kingdom or Canada and be at least 13+ years old.  In the case you are younger than 18, you will need parental consent.

Before you’re able to access your dashboard, they do ask you to scroll through “offers from their partners” and click on “yes” on any you’re interested.  Generally, 99% of these offers are no good and will just bombard you with spam.  So, while it may sound good, a lot of them are just looking to get your personal information so that they can upsell you.  Just skip this part so that you can get to your dashboard.

Your Dashboard

Once you confirm your email address, you can then start to make money and access your dashboard, which will look something like this on the dashboard version.

Make sure that you confirm your email address because this is the only way to start making money.

As you can see from the screenshot, you can make money in a variety of ways, from completing surveys to polls, games, clicks, videos and more.  Next, I will be sure to break down each category as well as what you can do to make money on the platform.

Offers/Surveys

On most of these websites, you will usually make your money in the surveys section.  It won’t be much, but you can usually average anywhere from $0.10 to $2+ per survey, depending on the survey you complete.  UniqueRewards is no different.

In this section, you can break down the surveys by category or you can view the surveys as a list.

It will default you to the “most popular” options, but you can filter them as necessary.  In each survey section, you can see how much you can make as well as what the survey is about.

Most of the surveys I looked at appeared to come from third-party websites, which is fine, but the problem with this is that many other sites that I highly recommend, such as Swagbucks, do the same exact thing.  So, if you’re going to use one of these many third-party options, you might as well stick to a leader in the industry.

OfferWalls

In the “OfferWalls” section, this is commonplace among most survey companies.  And, if you’re unfamiliar with the term, it’s when the website works with other third-party providers to have them supply them with the surveys, offers, etc.  It’s like a middleman of sorts.

UniqueRewards works with many of the popular options, such as Persona.ly, AdGate, PeanutLab and OfferToro, to name a few.  Many of the companies I have reviewed in the past also work with these very popular OfferWalls, so if you do decide to work with them, make sure you’re getting the best rate as every company offers a different value.

Polls

In the “polls” section, it looks as if UniqueRewards works with a few OfferWall companies as well, where you can take polls to earn cash.  Before you get started in this regard, however, many ask that you register with them before you’re able to earn cash.

Generally, your polls won’t earn you much, maybe a penny at most, so if you’re looking to make use of your time, it’s one I would probably skip to be honest.

Games

In the past, I did write about the more than 40+ ways to play video games at home and get paid.  Yes, it is true; you can get paid to play games, but and it’s a big but, you won’t get paid much.  You’re looking at pennies on the hour.  It’s not much.

Anyways, in this section, you can play a variety of games and get rewarded, from puzzle to arcade and strategy games.  There are a lot of games to choose from, but I wouldn’t bank on making a lot, that’s for sure.

Clicks

The clicks section is fairly straightforward.  Just click on a listing and get paid $0.01.

Most of the offers are other survey sites, and it seems to be quick and painless.  While you won’t make much, it’s usually a quick nickel or so.  Just don’t expect to have a ton of offers posted here every day.

Videos

Watching videos is yet another topic I have researched in the past.  And, yes, like video games, you won’t make much.  The videos tend to be long, boring and in some cases, only pay pennies on the hour.  It’s definitely one you won’t make much with.

In this section, they also link out to a few third-party companies, most of which are promoted on other sites, such as VideoFox and HideOut.tv.  It sounds interesting, but I promise you that you won’t make more than $0.50 in an hour, if that!

Referrals

And as the last way to make money, you can refer your friends and family to earn up to $5 plus 10% of what they earn.  It’s one of the better referral programs out there.

Most of the survey companies I write about do have a referral program, but they tend to be one and done, simply meaning they pay $X for a referral and that’s it.  That’s not the case here as they continue to pay as long as your referral is active.

As I write this, they pay $1 when your referral completes their first offer and another $5 if the yearn more than $20.  Plus, on top of these bonuses, you will always earn 10% of the qualified earnings earned by your referrals.

With these numbers, I must say it’s one of the better options.

If interested, just copy the URL found on that page and start sharing it with your friends.  Just don’t spam as this can lead to a quick suspension, leaving you with nothing.

Payments

To cash out, the company does ask that you have at least $20 in your account.

Once you do so, you can then cash out via PayPal, Bitoin or even by a paper check if you so choose.

Once you confirm your payout, your payment is then sent out weekly, every Monday.  Whenever you cash out, you will get the cash that following Monday.

The $20 payout is high in comparison to most companies, but I do like that they pay out weekly, that’s a nice plus.  If you’re looking for cash almost immediately, however, this wouldn’t be an option to consider at least for now.

The Pros and Cons

As in all of my reviews, I love the scour the internet and see what past and present members are saying about the website.  Noted below, I included both the pros and cons I found, breaking it down briefly to show you what people like and dislike.

The Pros

  • customer service seems to be attentive
  • a lot of OfferWalls if that’s what you’re looking for
  • wonderful referral program
  • fast weekly payments

The Cons

  • not many unique offers
  • $20 minimum requirement to cash out
  • some reports of payment delays

Final Thoughts

Unique Rewards seems like nothing special to me.  They just work with the many OfferWalls and really don’t offer anything of unique value.  While they definitely aren’t a scam, I don’t feel as if it’s worth the join.  The only thing I found to be worth it was the referral program if you were able to refer a handful of friends.  Even in this case, I don’t think you’d make much.

In the end, I will probably pass on Unique Rewards.  There are just too many survey sites out there like this and I feel you won’t get much out of it.  The dashboard is outdated and I was annoyed with all of the errors I kept receiving as I was using it.  I don’t know how many times I had to log into my account to keep working.

If you want to try it out, then, by all means, give it a go, but I feel I covered most of it in this review.  If you really want to participate with these OfferWalls, you’re much better off using a larger company like Swagbucks.  They pay out much better and have way more offers than this one can send out.

Now, as always, I leave it up to you.
