OneOpinion Review: Is It Easy to Earn $25/Mo?

Some of the links may be from a sponsor. Advertising Disclosure

OneOpinion is said to be one of the world’s leading research companies, founded in 2011.

And, according to the company’s official website, their mission is to make sure that it’s easy to share your opinions and earn rewards in doing so.  From points instantly credited to your account to 24/7 care, it seems they have a lot going for them, at least according to the company’s main website.

Like the so many research/survey-like companies out there, you’re probably wondering if you should join and what this company is all about.

So, in yet another review, I’m going to jump in, sign up for OneOpinion and test it out for a while to let you know if the company is truly worth joining.  As with my reviews, I’m always honest, upfront about what I witnessed and let you know exactly what my thoughts are before joining.

If you’re on the fence and/or just want to learn more about them, then follow along to learn everything about what the platform has to offer.

OneOpinion Review:  Legit or Scam?

What is OneOpinion?

Before I even start the process of my review, let’s first dig deep and see what this company is all about.

According to the company’s about us page, they were founded in 2011 and is owned by a company by the name of Critical Mix, Inc.  As of this review, they have a solid A+ BBB rating and appear to have high remarks on third-party review companies I respect.  At first glance, I would at least assume they are honest and legitimate, but does this hold up?

The company, as mentioned in my intro paragraph, focuses on surveys only, helping companies around the world improve their products.  So, the nice thing about this company is that you can focus on surveys only and won’t be spammed with other offers, such as watching TV, completing offers, etc.  While there’s nothing wrong with this, you’re going to almost always make the most money with surveys.

For every survey you complete, OneOpinion will reward you with points, in which you can then redeem for a variety of prizes, including cash and virtual gift cards.  I will get into this much later in this review.

For now, let it be known that OneOpinion has a solid background, decent enough reviews online and a solid-looking website to at least proceed and sign up.  My gut definitely didn’t spot any scams, at least not yet.

Signing Up

As with all research companies, you will first need to sign up for an account, of course.  You do need to be at least 18+ years old and need to reside in the US, UK or Canada to be eligible.  Keep this in mind to save yourself some time.

Some companies make the signing up process easy, while others make you click through a lot of garbage before you even can access your dashboard.  OneOpinion wasn’t like this, thankfully!

To sign up with OneOpinion, they use what’s known as a “virtual assistant,” which is almost like you’re chatting with somebody.  It looks like a chat screen, which you can see a screenshot below:

The cool thing about this chat box was that it was extremely different and I found it kind of refreshing in comparison to the same old boing point and click signup pages.

During most of the signup process, they simply asked you to agree to a few terms, verify your address and a password to access your dashboard.

The entire signup process probably took about a few minutes to do and was extremely easy to do.

Now, the thing about OneOpinion was that they wouldn’t approve of you instantly once you were done.  Rather, near the end, they thank you for your interest and ask you to wait up to five days before they inform you of your status.  You should receive a popup that looks like this once you’re done:

This can be the only downfall to the company if you were looking to make money today.

OneOpinion Dashboard

If you get approved, and most of the time, you should, then you should be able to access your dashboard using the email address and password you created during the initial chat session.

And, once in, this is what your dashboard will look like:

On this dashboard, you can see your available surveys, your point balance and how you can get verified on the website initially.

All of the surveys you see on your dashboard will work no differently than that of Swagbucks, Survey Junkie, etc.  Click on one of interest and just follow the directions.  It isn’t hard at all.

I didn’t have any surveys available at the time of this review, but when you do, the alert will look something like this:

On your dashboard, this is where you will be able to view your available surveys, so keep checking as they do update constantly.   As you can see from the graphic above, the dashboard is extremely simple.

Aside from this option, though, OneOpinion will also email you invites as time goes on as well, so be sure to whitelist the URL to ensure you’re getting this invites.  When I signed up, the company was quite aggressive, sending about two to three emails a day, but I found this to be the case with almost all research companies that want to stay in touch with you.

Simply open the survey, see if you qualify, and if you do, you can then complete the survey in order to receive the points promised.  From what I gather, if you do qualify, it appears you can receive quite a few surveys throughout the week.

How many surveys will I get?

This is a popular question almost always asked when signing up for a research company.  After all, who wants to waste time signing up for a company that only sends one survey a month?

Well, according to my personal research and that of those who have signed up before, the number of surveys you receive will greatly depend on your demographic profile.

However, as an average, I would recommend at least 30-50+ per month, again, based on these factors.  You won’t qualify for most, though, so plan on following through on 20-30% of the surveys offered.

How much are the surveys worth?

Most of the surveys that you complete on the platform appear to pay anywhere from $0.50 to $5 in value, but like most of the survey companies you may already work with, you do need to qualify in order to get your reward.  Occasionally, you may find a survey worth much more, up to $15+.

Even if you disqualify, OneOpinion is nice enough to add 50 points, which is about $0.05 in value.  I know it isn’t much, but trust me, if you get disqualified from 10 surveys, that $0.50 is much better than nothing.

Rewards

Here comes the fun part — the rewards you can cash out for once you hit your minimum spend.

Every survey you see on the platform will pay with points, not cash, but to make it simple, every 1,000 points is worth about $1 each.  Most survey websites do this, and it’s annoying, but as long as you envision every 1,000 points as being worth $1 each or $0.001 per point, it can make knowing the value that much easier.

In order to cash out, OneOpinion asks that you reach at least 25,000 points ($25) before you’re able to cash out.    This is quite high in comparison to other research companies, but seeing they do offer many more surveys than most, it actually isn’t that hard to meet this minimum.

Once you hit your 25,000 points threshold, then you can either redeem your points for an instant virtual Visa Debit Card or if you prefer to have the card mailed to your home, then they can do so via UPS.  Just keep in mind that if you choose this route, you will have to wait up to 10 days to receive it.

Aside from the virtual debit card, the company offers a variety of additional rewards, including cash to your PayPal account, Amazon gift cards and many more.

Pros and Cons

As my final subsection here, I always want to dig deeper online and see what others are saying.   I’m only one man, and of course, while you could trust me, I want to also let you know what others are saying as well, all of which I break down for you below.  Here’s what I found others saying:

The Pros

  • they reward you, even if you disqualify
  • A+ BBB rating and great third-party reviews
  • 24/7 customer service, something that’s unheard of in this industry
  • a very nice, simple design
  • great rewards (almost anything you need)
  • quick payouts
  • chances of product testing
  • tons of survey opportunities

The Cons

  • payout minimum is quite high in comparison to competitors (see my survey companies with low minimums if interested)
  • lots of disqualifications, but this can be said with any survey company

Final Thoughts

OneOpinion seems to be a very legitimate organization that takes its research business seriously.  It’s not a scam, I promise you that much.

8/10In the end, I highly recommend the company, giving them a solid 8 out of 10, and I think you could make about $25~ a month if you actively use the website.  Now, the only reason for the slight downgrade is due to a few reasons.

For one, I didn’t like that I had to wait up to five days to get confirmed.  This is kind of a bummer and no other companies really do this.  Why not have us approved immediately?

And, secondly, I didn’t like the very high $25 cash out rate.  Even though they seemed to have quite a few surveys, this is very high in comparison to their competitors.  I prefer a cashout much lower to give us more options.

Other than that, if you want to complete surveys and get rewarded with a very honest company, then this is one to at least add to your list.

If you do decide to sign up, just make sure that you log in a few days a week to see your opportunities and/or keep your eyes peeled when watching your email inbox.  It will keep you busy!

If you have joined OneOpinion and want to comment, then, by all means, do so below in the comment section.  Also, if you have any questions/concerned, I’d love to hear from you as well!

For now, at least consider creating an account to see how much money you can make!  You may be surprised as to how easy it is.
