According to RewardBee, it offers great rewards, mostly magazine subscriptions, in exchange for completing surveys. Yes, it’s one of the many companies out there that reward you for your opinion, but the key difference here is that you can receive magazine subscriptions rather than gift cards.
And, while there are a lot of these types of sites, only a select few are worth your time, many of which I mention in my best surveys guide.
Is RewardBee one of them?
Let’s find out!
What is RewardBee?
According to the official website, RewardBee offers fun and easy surveys in which you can qualify for rewards, and its model is simple. For every survey you complete, you are paid instantly in rewards point to them redeem for your favorite products, usually which are magazine subscriptions or valuable coupons. From what I researched in the past, most of your rewards will include magazine subscriptions, but other rewards are available as well. It just depends on what surveys you’re filling out.
The company doesn’t go into much detail other than that, but I did find that they were located in Pennsylvania, at least according to the privacy policy.
Signing up for RewardBee
To sign up for RewardBee, the company will ask for typical information, such as your name, email, a password, etc.
The entire process takes about three minutes to complete, and once you’re done, you can get started immediately.
To qualify for RewardBee, you must be at least 18+ years old and reside in the United States. It’s 100% free to join.
Your RewardBee Dashboard
Immediately after joining, you can then view your dashboard, which will look something like this:
The dashboard is easy to understand. You can either take any of the surveys noted or you can play games via the “play games” tab.
As you can see in my screenshot, I had a variety of surveys, most of which paid $30 in points. Now, this is confusing and unethical to me as you’re not getting $30 in value. Rather, it’s the RewardBee currency. While it sounds like a ton, it’s really not much, trust me.
How Many Surveys Will I Get?
From my personal experience, RewardBee almost always has at least 20+ survey invites, almost daily. But, just because you see the surveys, it doesn’t mean you will automatically get the rewards as you will have to qualify for the survey. This can be said about any survey site. In my experience, you can be prepared to qualify for 10-20% of the surveys you take, but this will greatly depend on your demographic.
The “Play Games” Section
Aside from earning money in answering questions, RewardBee will also reward you with $10 in points for every two minutes you play. However, when I was writing this review, it wasn’t working, so I can’t comment on it right now.
Usually, these types of games are low in value and take a long time to earn anything. I have written about this very topic in the past and generally don’t recommend it.
The Rewards
As mentioned in the intro, RewardBee mainly focuses on magazine subscriptions and that’s about it. However, in some cases, you may find a valuable coupon or two, but I wouldn’t count on it. RewardBee does not offer gift cards nor do they offer a cash option such as PayPal. This is a huge negative to most.
When I was writing this, I could sign up for four magazine subscriptions, all of which were digital — Car and Driver, Health, Parents and Veranda magazine.
The Pros and Cons
The Pros
- free to join – it only takes a few minutes to join and you can view the current rewards immediately
- free magazines – if you want a physical (or digital) magazine subscription, you may find one you can enjoy
- lots of surveys – you can earn a 12 or 24-month magazine subscription, usually by answering one survey
- A- BBB rating – I don’t always take the BBB into account, but an A rating is always a good sign
The Cons
- no PayPal or gift cards – most survey sites offer PayPal or gift card options, but this isn’t the case with RewardBee
- the “Free-Bees” section isn’t unique – most of the offers you find here offer no value at all
Final Thoughts
3/10In the end, RewardBee could be a fast way to get a digital magazine subscription if that’s your thing. For me, however, I’m not going to use it as you can almost always get free digital magazine subscriptions through your library using services like RBdigital, Flipster, and Libby, to name a few. Check with your local library to see what kind of services they have as you may be surprised. This option doesn’t require you to answer any lengthy survey questions. While there’s nothing wrong with RewardBee and it’s not a scam, it’s not going to be worth your time as there are hundreds of better options, most of which pay gift cards and even cash. Heck, some even pay instantly.
As always, you’re more than welcome to leave any comments you may have about RewardBee in the comments below.

I came across RewardBee today after a quick Google search for a possible scam because my parents started receiving magazines with their home address but the names are of random people they don’t know and have never lived at their address. Apparently it happens A LOT and everyone says when they called the customer service number it goes to RewardBee. Not sure how their system sends out magazines to people who never signed up with other people’s names attached to their addresses, sounds really strange and scammy somehow, but good to know it’s at least a legit website.
That’s strange! Yes, they seem to be legit, but they don’t seem to be worth our time.
It appears they have shut down.
