Eating out can get pretty expensive, but it doesn’t have to be if you know how to find special surveys that reward you with free food.
Yes, it’s as easy as answering some questions and getting rewarded with a free food item and/or an actual gift card, sometimes to the tune of $25 to $100+. I promise you that I’m not pulling your leg nor am I pushing some sleazy program. I don’t work like that here, as you may know by now. It’s as legit as they come.
In today’s guide, I wanted to talk about the many ways you can complete surveys for free food. From fast-food chains that offer receipts with freebies to surveys you can take right now. It’s a lot easier than you think.
Every option I mention only takes minutes to join and is 100% free.
How to Complete Surveys for Free Food
Branded Surveys
Branded Surveys, what used to be known as MintVine, offers a variety of surveys to complete. After you sign up and log in, you can immediately start taking surveys to earn points.
Like some of the options I mention here, they have quite a few free restaurant gift card options. At the time of this review, here’s what I saw on my dashboard:
- Applebee’s
- Outback
- Bonefish Grill
- Chili’s
- Buffalo Wild Wings
- California Pizza Kitchen
- Carrabba’s
- Chili’s
- Olive Garden
- Domino’s
- Dunkin’ Donuts
- IHOP
- Krispy Kreme
- Panera
- Papa John’s

Once you reach $10 in points (1,000 points), you can choose a gift card of choice.

Swagbucks
I promote Swagbucks a lot, and it’s for a good reason. The cool thing about Swagbucks is that you can start answering surveys right now and then redeem your points for restaurant gift cards. When I was writing this, for instance, take a look at my dashboard…
With every point worth a penny, that’s more than $5 in surveys right there. Keep in mind that these constantly update and you won’t qualify for all of them. That list kept going too! In some cases, you can make much more.
At the moment, Swagbucks offers so many restaurant options, including:
- Starbucks
- Dunkin Donuts
- Texas Roadhouse
- Burger King
- Outback Steakhouse
- Cheesecake Factory
- Cracker Barrel
- Applebee’s
- Panera
- Buffalo Wild Wings
- Olive Garden
- Papa John’s
- Red Robin
- Red Lobster
- Domino’s
- Taco Bell
- LongHorn Steakhouse
- Chipotle
- Jersey Mikes
- T.G.I. Friday’s

- On the Border
- California Pizza Kitchen
- Krispy Kreme
- Steak ‘n Shake
- Buca di Beppo
- Rainforest Cafe
- Morton’s
- Jamba Juice
- Bonefish Grill
- Cold Stone
And, if you don’t want a restaurant gift card, you can choose a cash payment if you choose to do so.
Swagbucks is free to join, and I can assure you that you can easily make $5 to $10 in the next few days just by logging in for a few minutes. It’s the easiest way to complete surveys for free food.

InstaGC
InstaGC is one of my favorite ways to earn cash online. You won’t get rich using it, but you can earn $25~ a month just by answering a few surveys every day.
The cool thing about them is that they work with a variety of survey partners and you can get your gift card almost instantly once you earn enough points.
The company has more than 60+ restaurant gift cards up for grabs, including some favorites such as

MyPoints
MyPoints is operated by the same company as Swagbucks, Proedge, and works in the same way. Answer simple survey questions and get points in which you can redeem for a variety of gift card options.
Now, the thing is that every point isn’t worth a penny; rather it’s an odd formula. Nonetheless, the surveys pay more than the average site.
The company always has a list of surveys you can complete, and you can redeem your points for a variety of food gift cards, including…
- Boston Market
- Chili’s
- Cracker Barrel
- Olive Garden
- Papa John’s
- Burger King
- Buffalo Wild Wings
- California Pizza Kitchen
- Red Lobster
- Domino’s
- Longhorn Steakhouse
- Panera
- Red Lobster
- Red Robin
- Starbucks
Most of your restaurant gift card redemptions start at $5~.

PrizeRebel
PrizeRebel is a fun one as they offer a variety of ways to earn money, from completing surveys for free food to other ways such as watching videos and completing offers. Like InstaGC, they work with a variety of third-party offerwalls, so you can keep busy for some time. The nice thing, however, is that they list them like Swagbucks does.
Every point is worth a penny and you should find a long list of surveys when you first sign up.
PrizeRebel offers a few free food gift card options, including:
- Uber Eats
- Outback
- Carraba’s
- Dunkin Donuts
- Blimpie
- Taco Time
- Fleming’s
Honestly, the selection isn’t as great as the others I mention, but it’s a way to earn free food if it’s what you’re looking for.
- Website: PrizeRebel
MySoapBox
MySoapBox is very easy to use as all they focus on is surveys. The only thing I don’t like is that their points system can be misleading as 1,000 points equal $1, not 100 points like 99% of the websites out there.
Nonetheless, it’s a way to earn free restaurant gift cards if that’s what you’re looking for.
At the moment, they offer the following free food gift card options:
- Starbucks
- Applebee’s
- BJ’s Restaurants
- Burger King
- Chili’s
- Domino’s
- Dave and Buster’s
- IHOP
- Logan’s
- Macaroni Grill
- Maggiano’s
- On the Border
- Papa John’s Red Robin
- Starbucks
- Steak n’ Shake
- T.G.I. Friday’s
Most of these start at $5 (5,000 points), but you should be able to reach this threshold rather quickly.

Tellwut
Tellwut is a smaller survey site that offers a few free food gift card options. At the time of reviewing this, they had the following restaurant gift cards:
- Subway
- Starbucks
- Dominos
- Dunkin Donuts
It’s not much, so if you don’t like any of those mentioned, I would skip out on it, unless you want the other rewards, such as an Amazon gift card, etc. It’s not my favorite, but I will include it.

Free Receipt Offers
Aside from surveys, you can also earn free food if you fill out the bottom of your receipt. Of course, you need the receipt, but the premise is simple. Visit a website, answer a few questions and then receive a free item. Some may want you to make a phone call, but this is rare.
These offers are bound to change, but these are the deals you can find at most restaurants today…
- Panda Express (free entree with the purchase of a plate)
- KFC (free drink or chicken; it seems to be at random)
- Whataburger (free burger or cookies, depending on the promotion)
- Dunkin Donuts (free donut)
- Wendy’s (usually a free hamburger)
- Subway (free cookie, sometimes a 6-inch sub)
- Popeye’s (free two-piece chicken)
- McDonald’s (BOGO sandwich)
- Chick Fil A (free CFA sandwich)
- Burger King (free whopper/chicken sandwich with purchase)
- Jack in the Box (BOGO Jumbo Jack)
- Carl’s JR (BOGO sandwich w/purchase)
- Culver’s (free cup or the flavor of the day)
- Cafe Rio (free chips/salsa or dessert)
- Del Taco ($1 off)
- Sonic (free drink)
The next time you receive a receipt for any fast food/casual like a restaurant, be sure to check the bottom of the receipt as there’s a good chance they may offer something as an incentive to take their survey.
Final Thoughts
If you want to complete surveys for free food, it can be done! And, best of all, you can get started right now.
Aside from calling a phone number on the bottom of your receipt for an item that you may not want, you may want to start signing up for these websites to start taking surveys ASAP. If you’re diligent enough, you can maybe earn $5 to $10 by the end of the day. Then, when you cash out, you can buy whatever you please.
Don’t want to complete surveys?
You’re in luck as these free food apps can get you food immediately, however, you will be limited as to what you can get.
As always, I try to list as many legitimate options as possible and I cannot list them all, so if I’m missing anything, do let me know in the comments below.
