Surveytime.io Review: An Easy $1 Per Survey?

I was approached by Surveytime.io to see if I was willing to write a review on their platform.

Now, I get a lot of requests, most of which come from some shady organization or something I would never associate myself with.

This wasn’t the case with Surveytime.io.

Yes, Surveytime.io is one of the many survey sites that exist in the internet world, but when I played around with it, something stood out.   It wasn’t your traditional survey site that pays you pennies or forces you to watch videos for next to nothing.  It was as easy as completing a survey and earning $1 for every survey you complete.  Yes, $1, no matter what.

In today’s review, I want to talk about Surveytime.io and how it works, as well as what you can expect to make.

As with all of my reviews, I’m always honest in my work, so you can expect an unbiased review.

If $1 sounds good for every survey you complete, then you may want to see if Surveytime.io is something of interest to you.

Surveytime.io Review

What is Surveytime.io?

Surveytime.io is operated by the company, Persona.ly, which is a mobile ad-tech company that works with some of the largest market research companies in the world.

As I write this, it’s one of the only survey companies that pay a flat $1 per survey with almost instant rewards.

The premise is simple…

Take a survey, and if you complete it in its entirety, you can get rewarded $1 instantly, either via PayPal or Amazon, to name a few.  The rewards you can choose from greatly depends on where you reside.

There are no other ways to earn — just simple surveys!

Signing Up

The biggest difference with Surveytime.io was in the sign-up process.

And, the reason I say that is that the company wanted you to fill out your profile in its entirety before you could even access your dashboard.

While most survey companies entice you to fill out your profile after you complete your registration, usually by paying you a few cents, Surveytime.io doesn’t do this.  They require you to do it so that they can send you targeted survey opportunities.  That way, you won’t find yourself getting denied from multiple survey opportunities, only causing frustrations.

I thought it was kind of annoying at first as I had to answer 40+ questions about myself, but as I realized this was needed so that specific surveys were sent to me when I was finished, it wasn’t too bad.  All of the questions you have to answer, like the screenshot above, are simple questions that only take a few seconds to answer.

I highly encourage that you finish the sign-up in its entirety as this is how you can get targeted surveys that you more than likely can complete.

Remember!  These survey companies are often looking for a specific person, and if you don’t fit that mold, you will get disqualified.  So, while this can seem like an annoyance, it will actually help you complete a lot more surveys and get paid.

All in all, plan on setting aside at least 10 minutes to sign up.

Your Dashboard

Once you answer your questions, you can then gain access to your dashboard.

Unlike the many survey companies I mentioned in the past, where I talk about the dashboard in depth, this isn’t the case with Surveytime.io.

All you will see on your dashboard is the following…

Yes, that’s right.

All you can really do is click on the “start now” button to take a survey if one is available.   That’s it, with the exception of a few footer links that really play no part in making cash.

Surveys

The number of surveys you receive greatly depends on your demographic.  This is the case with any survey company, but you should expect a few invites every day.  Just remember you won’t qualify for all the surveys you take.

To know if you have a survey available, you can do one of a few things.

For one, you can continue to log into your dashboard if you want to see if anything is available like you see in the screenshot above.  If you can click on the “start now” button, then you can take a survey to see if you can qualify.  In some cases, you may have to answer a few profile questions to access the survey.

Secondly, you can also keep an eye out in your emails.  When I signed up, I received quite a few email invites, which looked something like this…

Frankly, I like waiting for the emails and then clicking on the link to take the survey as the duration makes sense.

Aside from logging in and the email options, you can also set up SMS and/or browser notifications as well.

You will be able to set up these types of notifications when you don’t have any surveys available on your dashboard.

How long do the surveys take?

Surveytime.io is no different than the other research companies I have mentioned in the past when it comes to completing surveys.

From the surveys I played around with, it could take anywhere from a few minutes to more than 15+ minutes to complete a survey.  As I showed you in the screenshot above, they do a good job telling you exactly how many minutes it should take you to finish the survey.  It’s up to you to decide if your time is worth the $1.

What can I make?

Surveytime.io makes it so easy as you get paid $1 for every survey you complete, no matter what.

So, if you complete a survey in its entirety, you get paid $1, no more, no less.  This makes it a lot easier to know what you’re getting yourself into before you even start answering questions.

Getting Paid

After you complete a survey, Surveytime will send you instructions in as to how you can cash out.  Depending on which country you reside in, your redemption options will be different, but for those who live in the United States, you can choose from Amazon, PayPal and Target, to name.

Just follow the instructions and Surveytime will pay you almost instantly.  That’s right.  You don’t have to wait days for your payment to arrive.   However, after your first survey, you will have to verify some information, such as your email and a phone number, so you will see a message like this:

While most of your payments from here on out will be fast, the first one will take the longest, unfortunately.

Payment Proof

I completed a survey, most of which took me about 10 to 15 minutes, and after I completed it, I was sent $1 via PayPal in almost 20 seconds.  If that’s not instant, I don’t know what is.

And, if you don’t believe me, here’s my payment…

You don’t have to request payment nor do you have to wait for a minimum balance.  The company will send you the $1 right after your survey completes.

What Others Are Saying

As with all of my reviews, I always want to include what others are saying online.  So, in this section, I took all of the pros and cons I could find online and listed what I could find below.

Remember, even the best of the best have cons, so do take what you read with a grain of salt.  No research company is perfect, but some are much better than others.

The Pros

  • $1 per survey – very easy to understand
  • instant payouts
  • PayPal and Amazon payment options (country dependent)
  • tons of survey invites
  • simple dashboard
  • fun
  • 100% free
  • backed by a reputable company
  • great reputation online

The Cons

  • some verification issues
  • lots of disqualifications (this is common for all research companies, however)
  • you can’t decide when you want to get paid (not really a con but may be to some)

Final Thoughts

7/10Surveytime.io is solid.

I mean, what’s not to love?

Every survey is worth $1 and payments are almost instant.  This makes for one of the most unique survey companies on the market.  As long as you finish the survey, you get paid.

As with all of the survey companies I mention, don’t expect to get rich.  Picture it more as a way to go out to dinner once a month or so.

In the end, I highly recommend you at least add Surveytime.io to your to-do list to see how many surveys you can complete in a week.  As I mentioned before, the number of surveys you receive will greatly depend on your demographics.  If you find that you’re having luck with it, keep at it.  If not, try one of the many other survey companies I have recommended in the past.

For now, consider signing up.  It’s 100% free and only takes minutes to start your first survey.

If you have any questions and/or want to talk about the company itself, then you’re more than welcome to do so in the comments below.
