Tyr Rewards Review (I Tried it)

The Tyr Rewards app has more than 100,000+ downloads on the Google Play Store and seems to be growing in the ranks when you search for ways to make money.

It’s operated by Tyrads, which is a mobile app marketing company based in Singapore.  It’s legitimate, but is it worth your time?  That’s the question here.

If you’re looking for a way to make some extra cash while sitting on your couch, this app promises that it’s the best reward app for you.  However, don’t get too excited yet as all of these apps say almost the same thing.  This is why it’s important to distinguish the best from the worst.  It’s one of the reasons I make these reviews after all.

Mostly, the app focuses on playing games, where you can earn money whenever you complete a mission or play the game.

Whether you’re looking to figure out what Try Rewards is about or you want to find even more apps that pay you to play games, let’s see if this one is worth your time.

Signing Up

At the moment, the app is only available for the Google Play Store, so if you have an Apple device, you’re out of luck at the moment.

To start earning, you will first have to permit usage access so that the app can track your progress while playing games and then sign up with your email address as well as a password.

The entire process takes about two minutes and you can get started immediately.

At the moment, it appears as if anyone can sign up worldwide, however, you will need to be at least 18+ years old.  Where you live will depend on what kind of offers/games you receive.

Earning Money with Tyr Rewards

After you sign up, you can then access your dashboard, which is going to look something like this:

As mentioned, you can only earn money playing games, which you can find on your dashboard via the “hot offers” section or you can click on that “offers” button below.

In doing so, you can see a massive list of games at the moment.

This was just a pinch of what I could see, but it should give you an idea as to what to expect.

Next to each game that you see, you will be able to view the maximum amount of coins you can earn.  So, for example, if you were to play the Magic Jigsaw Puzzle game, you could earn up to 5,000,000 points.  To learn how you can earn these points, you would have to click on the game as all of the requirements do vary.

You can see that if you were to solve 10 puzzles, you could earn 100,000 TPoints, while collecting 5000 coins could earn you another 1,000,000 TPoints.

All of these games work in the same way, so you will want to make sure that you pay close attention to the detail to ensure you know what’s expected of you and if it’s worth your time.  You will find that a lot of these games are not worth your time.  What if it takes eight hours to solve 10 puzzles?  That may not be worth the measly points you earn.

What Are the TPoints Worth?

Looking above, one million points may sound like a lot, but in reality, it isn’t much at all.

If we go to the redeem page, you will see that a $10 PayPal payout would cost you 1,070,000 in points.  That means every 100,000 points is worth about $1.

If you can keep that in mind when computing the TPoints, you can get an idea as to whether or not these apps are worth it.

How Much Can You Make?

This is going to greatly depend on how often you log in and which games you choose.

From what I have experienced, you will never make a ton of money.  I’m talking maybe $5 to $10 a week, at most, but I recommend it only for those who want to test new games and want to get rewarded in doing so.

As long as you have a mindset as a way to make “fun” money, you shouldn’t have a problem with it.

Redeeming Your Points

The nice thing about Tyr Rewards is that they have a variety of rewards that you can choose from.

Almost anything you can think of will be on the rewards list, including:

  • PayPal
  • Amazon
  • Apple
  • eBay
  • Xbox games
  • … and many retailers

Rewards start for as little as $2.50 in points, but if you want Amazon, you will need at least $10 in points and the same can be said about PayPal.

When you cash out, it will take you about 24 to 48 hours to receive your rewards, which is typical of the industry.

The Pros:

  • it’s a fun way to try games and get rewarded in your spare time
  • it’s a legitimate company with payout proof
  • customer service seems to be good most of the time
  • a wide variety of games to keep you busy

The Cons:

  • lacks features such as tracking your progress in games
  • referral rewards seem to be buggy at times
  • glitches where games don’t track
  • some offers may change the requirement goals when you’re playing

Final Thoughts

5/10There are a TON of gaming apps that work just like this one and most work with the same third-party provider.

While there’s nothing wrong with Tyr Rewards, there’s nothing unique about it.  Honestly, if you’re going to download a get paid to play games-like app, you’re better off sticking with the big dogs in the industry such as Mistplay.  While there’s nothing wrong with this app, per se, I have much better luck with other options.

In the end, there are a ton of games to choose from, the games seem okay and you may make a few dollars.  You will never get rich, but they do pay out if you meet the minimum threshold.

That’s going to do it for now.
