Help! I Need Money Right Now: 40+ Options That Work

Some of the links may be from a sponsor. Advertising Disclosure

Need money fast?  Need it for free and you need the money RIGHT now desperately?  You may be wondering, what can I do?

Well, you may have come to the right place because I’m going to show you a TON of ways to start making money today in this blog post, regardless of your financial past.

Best of all?

You will not have to spend a dime and you could get money in your Paypal or bank account as soon as tonight if you play your cards right.  Yes, it’s free and no loans are required.  And, yes, even if you have bad credit, you can still participate, I promise.

Now, before you get excited and think you’re going to pay the rent and take your significant other to Hawaii, this will not be the case, unfortunately.

Sure, while you can create nest egg over time by applying these strategies over time, I wanted to share some awesome techniques I have used and researched to hopefully get your money as fast as you can.

As long as you go into this open-minded, I can almost assure you that you can make a few extra dollars in as little as an hour.

Again, you will not get rich, but you may be able to make as much as $100+ if you’re willing to put in the effort.

Without further ado, here are 40 ways if you need money fast and you need it NOW:

Help!  I Need Money Right Now (Free Options)

Online Surveys

Searching the web, you have probably found a lot of information in regards to taking “surveys” and making money by taking them.

Yes, you can make money taking them, but you’re not going to get rich overnight.

In fact, plan on making anywhere from $0.10 to $3+ per survey, a price which greatly depends on the company you’re using, your demographic and the length of the survey.

I’m going to write a detailed post in the future (it’s ready, here it is) talking about the best survey companies on the web, but for now, some of my favorites include the following:

Granted, some of these websites will pay you for more than just surveys.  Swagbucks, for instance, will pay you to play games, watch videos and even shopping, while CashCrate may pay you to sign up for a new product.

All of these websites are different in their own way, but in the end, they are free to join and you can start earning a few dollars a day.

Deliver Food

I touched upon UberEATS, but there are other great apps which you can use to deliver food on your own time as long as you have a car (scooter/bike in some cases), clean background and valid insurance.

I personally like this option since I want to listen to what I want and I do not have to deal with the public.  Plus, it pays nice, up to $25+ an hour during peak times.

Some may ask you to reserve a small one- to three- hour schedule, while other apps may let you jump on as you please.

Like UberEats, these delivery apps are highly dependent on your geographical location and which times you work.

Aside from UberEats, here are other delivery apps you may want to consider:

There are even more I talked about in my many ways to make money with your car.

Consider a Personal Loan (be careful, though!)

Of course, if you need money now, a personal loan may be your only option, especially if you need more than $1,000.  While there are ways to make $1,000 fast, it can take you a week, sometimes more, before you earn it.

Websites, such as PersonalLoans.com, can help you get up to $35,000 fast, and best of all, the rates are no different than what you would pay on your credit card.  In fact, I saw rates that were much lower.  However, as with any loan, your results will vary.

Only consider this option as a last resort and be sure it makes sense for you financially.  It’s always best to work for your money before you easily borrow it.

Airbnb

As long as you call the shots inside of your home, why not open a room or even your living room couch if you do not mind allowing a stranger to spend the night?

If you’re unfamiliar with , it’s a lot like the Uber world, where guests rent rooms, houses or just about anything you can sleep in all around the world.  All of the listings you see on the website are created by the owner of the home and when you book, you will deal directly with the owner or someone who’s connected.

Even if you want to rent out a room, you may be surprised as to what you could get, especially if you live in an in-demand city or touristy area.  Even if it was $20 a night, this could gross you $600 a night if booked for the entire month.  Airbnb doesn’t work for free and will , but Airbnb will let you know the exact fees before you start your listing.

Now, the cool thing about Airbnb is that they do offer an insurance policy that covers you up to $1 million in case something were to happen.  On top of that, you can charge additional fees, such as a cleaning charge, and ask for a security deposit in case of minor damage.

If you do not mind sharing your home with someone else, it’s an awesome way to meet travelers and make easy cash.

Sell Your Electronics

Have some electronics laying around, such as an older video game or phone, but you don’t want to sell them on Craigslist or eBay and deal with the public?

I understand the struggle.

If you need money right now, did you know companies exist that will pay you for video games, CDs, phones and DVDs and you never have to talk to someone?

, for example, simply asks you to enter the barcode of the item you’re looking to sell and if they want it, they offer a price.  If you like the price, then print the shipping label on their website, mail your item in and get paid!

Now, if you decide to use , you can get paid in as little as 24 hours, but the values will be much less than eBay.  I would only recommend this route if you need the money fast and do not want to deal with the eBay-like process.

Other websites that work similar to Decluttr includes, which you may want to check out to see if you can maximize your savings, include the following:

Don’t want to use an online website and want to sell in person?

That’s fine as well as there are devices known as ecoATM, which will offer you cash for your electronics on the spot.  It’s all automated, too, meaning you work with the kiosk, not a human being.

To find a machine in your area and learn more about them, head to my ecoATM review.

Aside from the machines, as noted in the list, a local Best Buy can offer you cash on the spot as well.  Just check out the official website to see what they can offer you.

Fiverr

Fiverr, what used to be a $5-only marketplace, allowed sellers to post a job for $5 only.  However, as time went on, the prices are all over the place, sometimes as much as $250+.

If you have any skill, and I mean any, I highly recommend you check out Fiverr and create a listing to start making money today.

Whether it’s writing content, doing a voiceover or even designing a graphic, I know you have a skill you could put to use to make you some extra cash!

Now, you’re not going to start racking in the customers right away as you will need to build up your clientele, but if I did find this very helpful post on Matthew Woodward to help you make your first dollar.

Also, Fiverr isn’t the only game in town as there are 24 alternatives you may want to check out if you like the idea of it.

This isn’t a fast cash approach, but I have heard about people starting to make money in as little as 24 hours if the right strategies are used.

Udemy

, in a way, works similar to Fiverr, but instead of selling your services, you could sell a course on ANYTHING.

Now, I know you have some sort of skill that you can share with the world, and if you’re willing to sit down and create a few informative videos and/or content, your class could take off.

Again, regardless of what you know, ranging from building houses in Minecraft to playing the piano, do not be afraid to teach others what you know.  You never know who wants to learn!

As long as you price the course right and you’re willing to market yourself, this could turn into a very good passive type of income.

Once you get enough reviews, your courses will start to take off, trust me!

Deliver Groceries

I will talk about the gig economy quite a bit on this list, but if you do not want to drive people around, walk dogs or even deliver food, then what about delivering groceries?

Just as it sounds, you will receive grocery orders from your local grocery store, where you will have to shop and fulfill the list, just as you would with your own shopping.

Once done, pay with the company’s credit card, load up your car and deliver it to the customer.

While I have not dabbled with delivering groceries, the main companies you may want to consider include , or even Amazon Flex for the Whole Foods stores.  You can check out even more options here.

And from what I hear, the pay isn’t bad, either — about $15 an hour, but this will be dependent upon your area and when you work.

As long as you’re insured and have a car, one of these grocery delivery services may become a great side gig.

Download DOSH for $5

The DOSH cash back app is one my favorites, and it’s SO easy to use.

Simply download the app, link a credit card of choice and whenever you use that linked card at a merchant on their list, they will give you cash back.

For example, I shop at Sam’s Club quite often and have been able to get more than 6%+ cash back during some promotional periods just for swiping my card.

But the great thing is that if you just link a credit card to your account, they will give you $5 for free!

If you’re already going to spend money at the stores, you might as well get cash back for your purchases, right?

mTurk

I’m a big fan of browsing the /beermoney subreddit on Reddit.com, and if you’re not familiar with Reddit.com, it’s basically a forum where people can discuss various topics.  In this particular subreddit, for example, members talk about various ways to make “beer money” online.  Basically, enough to buy a few beers.

Anyways, one of the biggest money makers for most people here is Amazon’s mTurk, a platform that’s filled with thousands of jobs that pay anywhere from $0.01 to as much as $10+ per task.   Members who posted their payment screenshots usually make about $10 to $30 a day, but some make even more.  Like a job, it depends on how much effort you put into it.

What kind of tasks would you do, you’re wondering?

Some of these tasks could include finding an email address, looking at a picture or just collecting data.  The list goes on and on.  It can be mundane for some, but hey, if you need the cash, you could have as much as $10-$30 tonight if you’re good enough.

If you want to make a few extra dollars each day performing some simple tasks in the comfort of your own home, then I would highly recommend checking mTurk out.

It’s a great way to work at your own pace, make a few dollars and once you get good at it, you will know which tasks are worth your time.  It’s also one of my favorites if you want to make close to $20 a day consistently.

In the meantime, there’s a lot to learn about mTurk and I do not want to babble too much about it.  For now, I recommend you visit the mTurk subreddit and the MTurk Crowd forum to learn more about how it works.  You can also check out my how to make $50 a day mTurk guide.  There’s also a book I highly recommend that goes much more in detail titled Side Hustle From Home: How To Make Money Online With Amazon Mechanical Turk.  As you can see, there’s more than enough you can study to learn how to maximize your time.

Trust me, this is one of the best ways to work from home right now if you want to work on your own time.

Negotiate Your Bills

No matter your current living situation, there’s a good chance you have some sort of recurring monthly bill.

Whether it’s a cell phone bill, the internet or any bill that bills you monthly, there’s a good chance you can reduce this bill by simply calling the company and asking for the current promotions.  Better yet, if your contract currently expired, then threaten to quit and head to a competitor to see what they have to say.

Doing this, you may be quite surprised as to how much you could potentially save.

For example, my internet bill recently increased to $99 a month, but with a simple 10-minute phone call, I was able to drop it to $59.99 a month for the next 2 years — a $40 savings!

Don’t have the time or you just do not want to make the call?  That’s fine, too!

There’s an awesome service called Bill Fixers and they do all of the dirty work for you… with no upfront costs or hidden fees.  Yes, you read that right.  Just sign up,  tell them which bills you want to lower and using their knowledge, they will do their best to drop the rate for you.  While the service is free, if they are able to drop the bill, they will just ask that they can share the savings with you.

Sell Photos

Do you like to take pictures?

If so, then you may be surprised to know that some companies out there will be willing to pay you for your pictures and/or if someone buys it on the marketplace.

Again, this is another blog post I will consider in the future, but in the meantime, here are a few websites you may want to check out if you like to take photos and want to make a few extra dollars:

These are all websites to consider if you want to sell your photos online, with each one offering a certain commission structure and an amount of traffic it can potentially send to view your pictures.

Shutterstock, for example, could pay up to $120, while iStockPhoto will pay you at least 15% of any sales accrued.

You’re not going to make money fast, per se, but if you have an eye for photography, then I would highly recommend you consider uploading some of your greatest pics!

Sell Books Instantly

Like the electronic method I mentioned above, the same site — and another one called BookScouter.com — will offer you cash instantly for your books.  Amazon can offer you an instant payment as well, again, if the book is in demand.

Now, you can’t just throw up any book as it needs to be in demand, but just to make sure, head to the website, enter the ISBN and see if it’s anything of value.  If it is, the company will offer you a price, and if you accept, you can have cash in hand in days.

Scan Your Receipt

Did you know you can make money by simply uploading your receipts to your smartphone?  Yes, it can be ANY receipt.

Yes, you’re not going to get rich doing it, like the surveys I mentioned earlier, but if you make it a habit to scan your receipt every time you shop, you could earn a few dollars every month.

I won’t talk about it much here, but I did write a 2,000+ word post, in which I talked about EVERY app on the market that pays you to scan your receipt as well as the rules for each app.

Some apps, like Ibotta, who I feel is the king of receipt scans, for instance, will even pay you up to $10 if you qualify.

Clinical Trials

Whether you’re healthy or you have a pre-existing medical condition, did you know that there are hundreds of medical professionals who are looking for someone like you?

In some cases, depending on the study, you can get paid anywhere from as little as $50 to thousands of dollars.

While this isn’t a “get money now” type scheme, you could get the ball rolling as early as today.

Again, do not count on money in your hands tomorrow, but with some studies, you could get paid in as little as a week or two.

To find a legit clinical trial in your area, I highly consider you use ClinicalTrials.gov and play around with the search feature to see which options are available in your area.  You can also check out these seven high-paying companies.

Give Plasma

If you’re not afraid of needles and do not mind spending an hour or so inside of a plasma center, then you may want to consider donating plasma, where you could receive up to $50 on the spot and in as little as a few hours.

Regardless of where you live, there should a plasma center nearby, and to find one, I just recommend you search for “plasma center <your zip code>” to find one.

With these results, just browse the highly reviewed places, and most of the time, someone who went there in the past will share how much they were paid for their time.

Watch TV

You won’t get paid a lot doing this, but I one website, in particular, Perk.tv, formerly known as Viggle, will pay you to check in on the app and watch select TV shows/clips.

After you watch the clip, the company will give you points, which you can then redeem for gift cards.

Don’t expect much out of this, but it could be a nice way to make a few dollars a week while having fun.

Play Games

If you like to play games online, there are a few companies that will pay you to test out new games and play the games you already love, such as Wheel of Fortune.

Again, you will not make a ton of cash doing so, like watching the television shows, but you could make a few dollars at the end of the day.

Plus, it could be a great option to consider if you need a break from all of these options!

Some of the websites I have researched that I endorse includes the following:

I’m going to write about this more in depth in the future, but for now, consider the options noted above.

Rate Music

If you’re a fan of music and don’t mind listening to new hits, there are websites out there that pay you to listen to new tunes.

Don’t expect to get rich, but it’s a great way to have fun and maybe even find a new band you like.

With payments ranging from a few cents to as much as a dollar, consider checking out the following websites to get started:

The more you review, the more you can make.  Plus, if you refer some friends to join, you can even more as well!

Complete Small Tasks

If you do not mind running errands for someone else, then another service I wanted to add to the list was .

Here, like many of the gig-like economy websites I added on this list, TaskRabbit works in the same way.

When you join, you can browse the tasks people in your community are looking to have completed.  This can range anywhere from pulling weeds from rocks to putting together a new bed they just purchased from IKEA.  Basically, if it can be considered an “errand,” it can be listed here.

You work can work at your own pace and choose the jobs you want.

Depending on the jobs you perform, the costs will greatly vary, but I did read online that some people actually made a full-time living doing it, so you never know what you could make.

Uber or Lyft (HUGE bonus in some cases)

There are a variety of gig economy jobs out there, but one, in my eyes, takes the cake — Uber.

I signed up for Uber a few years ago and I will go out at least once to twice per week, primarily delivering food as I like the restaurant portion rather than driving around people.

Now, if you’re thinking, “My car is too old” or “I hate the idea of strangers driving in my car,” then I understand!  I thought the same thing.

Did you know you can sign up for an UberEATS account only, where you only deliver food and that’s it?

You only have to be 19 years old and have car insurance  In some areas, you can even deliver on a scooter or bike.  For the EATS portion, Uber isn’t as restrictive, meaning they will accept just about any car as long as it’s insured.

Now, once you learn how your market works, it isn’t uncommon to gross $18-$25 an hour on a Friday night, but again, this is highly market dependent and will depend on the time you work.  If you work at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, then you may not get as many pings as 6:30 p.m. on a Friday night.

If you do not mind getting out of the house and delivering food on your own time, then you could be approved in as little as one to two days once your background check clears!

If interested, be sure to follow my link as Uber will guarantee you $100 after your first 30 deliveries.

Charge Lime Scooters

Don’t like the idea of food or people, but want to get out and about?

If you live in a metropolitan city, then there’s a good chance you have seen those Lime scooters on the side of the road.  These are scooters where you can download the company’s app and pay $1 per hour to rent them as you please.  Once done, you simply drop the scooter off where you’re at.

Well, the company, Lime, needs people to take the scooters on the road at night with a low battery and charge them inside your home.  Don’t worry, the app shows you where they are and they wil provide you with the chargers necessary.

After you charge the scooters for the night, you open the app and it will tell you where to drop the scooters off for the day.

Paying about $6 to $9 per scooter charge, you can take multiple scooters at a time and you’re able to work whenever you want, just like Uber and the other apps mentioned.

However, as a downside, you do need to work late nights to find the scooters and have them dropped off by seven in the morning.  So, if you’re not a morning person and late person, the hassle may not be worth it, unfortunately.

Plan on making about $40 to $60 a night if you were to consider this option.

Sell Your Clothes

Have a closet filled with clothes that you haven’t worn in more than six months?

If so, you may want to skip on the garage sales and even eBay and consider a cool website called Poshmark.

Here, as long as your clothes are in great condition are from a name brand, then you may be surprised at how much you could receive for the clothes you no longer wear.

While you will not get your money today as it could take some time based on what you’re selling, you could consider local retailers in your area such as Plato’s Closet, BuffaloExchange or Once Upon a Child (for children’s clothes) to get money right now.  Local Facebook groups could work as well.

Walk or Board Pets

Love dogs?

What if I told you that it is possible to get paid to walk someone else’s dog and on your own schedule?  Or house a dog for the night?

Yes, just like Uber, you can turn on the app and start working according to your schedule, all while getting paid to do something you love — play with dogs.

As long as you can pass a background check, the most popular apps include and Wag.com and from what I researched, you do need to schedule ahead of time so that the dog owner knows you’re coming.  You can also check out these 11+ dog sitting websites I researched as well.

Aside from dog walking, if you did sign up for Rover, you can also offer to house sit or even board someone else’s dog at your home for a few.  Wag.com, on the other hand, primarily focuses on dog walks only.

Once you start to get positive reviews, you could make about $10-$20 per walk or up to $20+ per dog, per night if you wanted to pet sit.

Sell Gold

If you have any gold laying around the house that you no longer need, consider selling it to a local gold dealer to get cash almost immediately.

While I do not have a gold dealer I recommend, here’s a tip to find a good one in your town…

Either search Google or Yelp, using search terms like “sell gold.”

Doing so should list about three to five places in your area that are willing to appraise your gold, but before you choose one, just glance at the reviews to see what others are saying and do not be afraid to get more than one quote, especially if you’re selling hundreds of dollars worth.

Gold still holds a lot of value and if you have some jewelry collecting dust, it may be time to let it go and get some cash instead.

Gigwalk

If you have a smartphone, then you may want to consider the cool Gigwalk app — an app which pays you to perform small tasks at a physical location.

This could include making sure products are correctly stocked or collecting some data, for instance.

Once you download the app, you’re immediately presented with offers, along with the price you’re paid and the job description.  If it’s of interest, read the directions, perform the task and get paid.

Field Agent

Like Gigwalk, Field Agent works in the same way.

When you open the app, you can browse from a variety of jobs and the number of jobs will depend on your geographical location.  For example, if you live in the country, do not expect much, but if you live in a metropolitan area, then you can expect quite a few jobs.  You can read more about how it works in my detailed Field Agent review.

I use Field Agent quite a bit and make about $10-$20 a month from it.  Plus, in some cases, you can even get free food AND get paid to eat.

I have done jobs such as taking pictures of products, sampling a pizza and even uploading one of my receipts.

Once you reach a certain threshold, you can then cash out via Paypal.

Shopkick

Shopkick is a shopping app that rewards you for doing a variety of tasks, from walking into a store to scanning a barcode.

Paid in “kicks,” the more “kicks” you earn, the closer you can be to cashing out with a gift card of your choice.

Like the two previous apps I mentioned, I love Shopkick because I will just turn it on whenever I’m in a busy retail area and will complete some of the easy tasks.

Just like Field Agent, I usually make about $15 to $30 a month doing it and I never spend a dime.  Instead, I just walk into the store or I will scan a few barcodes.  If I did make a purchase, then I can upload it as well to earn even more.

Rewardable

Working a lot like Shopkick, Rewardable helps you earn side money by offering feedback on services.  This could range from buying a burger at Wendy’s to trying out an app that just hit the market.

To see what kind of jobs are in your area, download the app, find the tasks nearby and see if any are worth doing.

Depending on the task you perform, you can earn up to $20, with most tasks taking no more than 15 minutes to complete.

This app can be great, but again, it’s highly location dependent.  If you do not live in a busy area, then you may not find a lot of jobs.

Instawork

Instawork seemed to be hit or miss, but you may want to download it to see if any gigs are available in your market today.

From restaurants looking for dishwashers to construction crews looking for help, it appeared you could accept a gig and makeup to $20+ an hour depending on the job.  Some job offers were even permanent opportunities.

Again, use this app at your own risk as you may not find any jobs in your area, but it doesn’t hurt to check!

ShiftGig

Another app, just like Instawork, was Shiftgig.

Ranging from hotels to schools to restaurants, you may be able to find a side gig for the night that pays you up to $20+.

Again, like Instawork, this will be highly dependent on where you live.

For instance, when I downloaded it, there were no jobs in my area (Phoenix, AZ), but the New York City area did have a few listings.

Consider downloading it to just check it out.  Worst case, if you do not find anything, you can always delete it.

Sell Unwanted Gift Cards

Do you have a gift card to a store that you know you’re never going to shop at?

Well, instead of it collecting dust in your drawer, did you know you could sell it immediately via and ?

Again, instead of dealing with the public on Facebook, Craigslist or eBay, you simply send enter the gift information and the company will give you an instant cash offer.

If you use these services, do keep in mind you will get about 10-30% less than you would if you sold it on your own, but again, you’re paying more for the convenience factor.

Visit a Pawn Shop

A pawn shop will almost always buy something that is of value, and if you really want money right now, then I highly recommend you scour your home and collect some items you feel may be worth something.

Now, when you visit a pawn store, do not expect the prices you see on eBay or online.  Instead, you may be lucky to get 40-60% of this if you’re lucky.  Remember, they have to make a profit, too!

Since desperate times often call for desperate measures, if you need the money now, then you may want to consider this route.

Facebook Groups

Like the pawn shops, if you want to maximize your money and you want to see cash in your hand in hours, then local Facebook groups could be the answer as well.

If you’re a member of Facebook (I’m sure you are), finding a local group is pretty easy as all you need to do is insert your city name in the search bar at the top.

Once you do, browse the results and join any groups that seem to be active.  You should be able to see how many members are in the group as well as how many posts were made in the past 30 days.

Now, do keep in mind that a good group may not approve you instantly and you could wait a few days before they approve you, but once they do, you’re in for life unless they delete the group or they may kick you out because you’re causing trouble.

Once you’re in, start selling, as long as they say it’s aloud, but do not overdo it as a lot of people do not like spam.  If it’s a good enough item and priced right, then you could have a buyer within minutes.

Aside from Facebook Groups, here are some other apps/websites to consider:

If selling on any of these apps or websites, just make sure you meet in a safe spot such as a police station or busy grocery store parking lot.  Your life isn’t worth an iPhone.

Donate Sperm

Like donating plasma, did you know some companies are willing to pay you more than $1,000 a month just for donating your sperm?

Now, before you get too excited, you do need to qualify and the company needs to accept you.

It doesn’t hurt to try, however!

If interested, here are some companies/websites you may want to check out:

Flip the Craigslist Freebies

Every town will have a freebie section on Craigslist, and depending on how much time you have for the day, you may be able to flip some of these items for a quick buck.  If you’re apart of the Nextdoor website, neighbors will often post freebies on here as well.

Now, before you get excited, keep in mind that other people are doing the same thing, oftentimes, refreshing the page by the second.

While you will not get rich doing so, you may make $20 or $30 here and there, but if you have handyman experience, then you could make even more if you know how to fix the freebies that are broken.

Check out your freebie section to see what’s available, and if it’s something of interest, reach out and see if you can flip it quick.

If you like the idea of flipping freebies, another popular website, FreeCycle.org, allows you to search for freebies in your area as well.

Craigslist Gigs Section

If you’re in desperate need of money today and do not mind getting your hands dirty, consider checking out the “gigs” section on your local Craigslist.

Here, you will find multiple jobs, ranging from helping with landscaping to maybe even moving furniture inside a home.

For example, when I checked the section out while writing this, I found a few appealing results such as my local city looking for role players to help with the police department and another, where a construction company was looking for a cleanup person for the day.  There were hundreds of results when I checked and depending on where you live, you could be working in as little as an hour in some cases.

Most of these jobs will only be temporary, but again, as you’re dealing with Craigslist, take precaution if you’re considering the job.  If it sounds too good to be true, well… it probably is!

Honestly, this is probably your best bet to make the most money today.

Reddit forhire

The Reddit /forhire subreddit, like the Craigslist gigs section, updates daily with hundreds of potential job opportunities.

Some jobs may require a skill, while others may be looking for a participant for a study.

Regardless, consider adding this subreddit to your bookmarks to see if a job pops up that you qualify for.

Most of the jobs you find here will be remote jobs, allowing you to work in the comfort of your own home.

Bank Account/Credit Card Bonuses

Did you know that banks and credit cards will give you a bonus just for signing up?

Yes, it’s true!  In many cases, you will have to spend a certain amount before the bonus triggers, but if you’re going to spend money on bills anyways, why not get a bonus?

This method can take up to six+ weeks before you see your bonus, but it’s one to consider if you want some fast and easy cash.

To find some of the best bank bonuses at the moment, refer to this Doctor of Credit, Bankrate and Nerdwallet guide.  They are always updated daily and help you better understand how these bonuses work.

Random Side Gigs

If you have the hustle, consider advertising your services on Facebook Groups and/or Craigslist and consider the following:

  • Sell firewood if you have access to trees
  • Junk removal if you have the truck to do so
  • Collect cans to recycle at a local center
  • Dumpster dive to find treasures
  • Make and sell crafts on Etsy
  • Wash/detail cars

Credit Card Advance

I would only recommend this route if it’s your last option and you received one of those 0% checks for 12 months.

While you will still have to pay a 2-3% transfer rate, paying $30 on $1,000 for a year or so isn’t that bad of a deal as long as you pay the money back, of course.

If you have any credit cards, log into your account to see if any 0% offers are available as of today.  If so, be sure to read the fine print to know what your fees will be if you do decide to choose this option.

Again, use this as a last resort and ONLY consider if you have a 0% deal available.

Peer-to-peer Lending

Don’t have the time to work for your money today and feel like the banks will reject you?

That’s fine as well since you do have options with peer-to-peer lending options.

Not familiar with the term?

Well, unlike the banks, with peer-to-peer lending, you’re going to have your loan funded by someone like you or me.

You simply post a loan request, the reason for your loan and if people like what they hear, they will help fund your loan.

It’s a win-win because you get the loan and the person funding collects interest on their investment, oftentimes, much more than the stock market.

While these companies will for a credit check, your credit history/score will be presented to the public, so if you have a poor credit score, your interest rate may be much higher than someone who doesn’t.

A Word of Warning

Now, if you’re searching “I need money now,” then there’s a good chance you landed on this page, and that’s great!

I thank you for visiting, however, as a word of warning, you’re going to notice other results that point to same day loan websites, which I’m highly against and recommend you do not sign up.

While it may sound great to receive $500 in your account in as little as one hour, these loans are often loaded with hidden fees, have high-interest rates and before you know it, you’re paying three to four times your loan amount.  In fact, I saw one company with a 425% interest rate!

If you need money now, consider a loan as your last resort unless you need it in a dire emergency such as keeping a roof over your head.  Even so, you should be able to find some sort of assistance from your local community to help you get back on your feet again.

As for the loans, consider a big-name bank option or even a local credit union to see if anyone is willing to work with your circumstances.

Aside from the payday loans, I highly encourage you to avoid using a credit card advance if you do not have a deal, as mentioned earlier or get a car title loan.  All of these tactics will take advantage of your situation and you will find yourself paying too much in interest, almost creating a hole that’s next to impossible to get out of.

Final Thoughts

Making money will always take some work, but I tried my best to include ideas that do not take too much effort.

While some options could make you money now, such as babysitting, having a garage sale or even asking friends for money they owe you, let’s face it, it’s probably not going to work as you envisioned.

For now, I hope some of these strategies could net you at least $20 to maybe even $100 today.

Who knows?

If you get good at some of these, it could pay more than just the bills.

I will continue to add to this list, and if you think something should be added, I would love to hear about it!  As long as it’s legit and not spammy/scammy, then I do not have a problem adding it to the list.
