Nowadays, there are countless paid Bingo apps available. When you check out the app store, it’s packed with them. They all promise that you can earn quick cash just by playing Bingo on your device.

Take, for instance, Battle Bingo from Acerena Inc. This free app promises real cash rewards, with some prizes even reaching more than $10,000.

Can we trust Battle Bingo? And is using this app a good way to earn some extra cash or just a waste of time?

In this review, I’ll break down how Battle Bingo operates, its strengths and weaknesses, and help you determine if it’s worth the download.  As in all of my reviews, I’m always 100% honest, only recommending what I feel is worth your time.

Let’s begin!

What is Battle Bingo?

Battle Bingo is a game based on your Bingo skills and is accessible for free in the iOS store. It offers a competitive twist, allowing you to play against other bingo players for cash awards. Additionally, those who excel and rank high on the monthly leaderboards get extra rewards.

The creator behind Battle Bingo, Acerena Inc, is known for its paid gaming apps. They’ve produced other hits like Solitaire King. And if you’re familiar with other paid gaming apps such as Bingo Smash and Money Bingo, then Battle Bingo will feel quite similar.

It’s evident that the app has captured the interest of many, with over 18,000 reviews and an impressive average rating of 4.7 stars on the Apple app store.

Is it Legit or a Scam?

Battle Bingo does have a stamp of approval from many users, sporting an impressive 4-star+ rating from over 18,000 reviews on the app store. But while it might paint a rosy picture of easy earnings, there’s more to the story.

Sure, you have the potential to win money, but remember, you’re also putting your own money on the line. So, while there’s a chance to gain, there’s also a genuine risk of losing your investment.

One concern I have with apps like Battle Bingo is the real potential of ending up with a loss, rather than the anticipated gain. And even when you do manage to win, it’s often not a hefty sum. Another unsettling aspect is that it’s hard to tell whether you’re truly competing against actual people or if the app has you playing against automated bots, possibly altering the fairness of the game.

Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of apps and websites out there where you can earn without staking your own money. Platforms such as Branded Surveys and Swagbucks stand out as examples.

To set things straight, Battle Bingo isn’t out to dupe you. Winners genuinely receive their prize money. Yet, the way it’s marketed might give some users a skewed perception. Winning isn’t a walk in the park, and it often demands an upfront investment. There’s an inherent risk of losing more than you earn.

There’s an ocean of legitimate online opportunities and side gigs that won’t have you gamble with your money, however.

For those Bingo enthusiasts out there, Battle Bingo could be a fun experience. Just remember to approach its cash tournaments with a clear understanding of the risks involved.  Picture it as a way to gamble, not earn cash.

In a nutshell, while Battle Bingo does seem genuine, there’s an underlying risk and potential misrepresentation that users should be aware of.

How Battle Bingo Works

Battle Bingo operates in a straightforward manner, reminiscent of many other apps where real money’s involved. Essentially, here’s what’s going to happen:

  • Get the app on your device
  • Start with some practice rounds
  • Engage in cash-based competitions
  • Redeem your earnings

Let’s dive a little deeper into these steps.

Creating an Account

Battle Bingo is designed for iOS devices and is entirely free. So if you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running on iOS 12.0 or newer, you’re good to go. Regrettably, for Android users, this exact app isn’t available. There’s a different app with a similar name on the Google Play store, but it’s not the same. And, just a heads-up, since the app lets you put money on the line for tournaments, you need to be at least 17 to use it.

Starting with Practice Rounds

After getting Battle Bingo on your device and setting up your account, it nudges you to go through a game tutorial and try out some practice sessions. This helps you understand the game better and refine the skills you’ll need to excel.

As for how the game unfolds, it’s much like the classic Bingo with a few added twists. Your goal is to align five numbers consecutively on a card to claim a Bingo. During gameplay, you can leverage power-ups for additional points or extra time. Winning these trial games grants you virtual coins, elevating your position on the monthly leaderboard. But remember, these virtual coins don’t hold any real-world monetary value.

That’s a tiny drawback of apps like Battle Bingo. If your aim is to genuinely earn from the app, you’ll have to participate in the paid contests.

Earning Money in Bingo Cash Tournaments

At the heart of Battle Bingo are its competitive tournaments. Here, players go head-to-head in duels, with each aiming to be the ultimate Bingo master.  This is where you’re going to “earn” your money.

Entering these cash tournaments does come at a cost, often just a few bucks. However, if you come out on top, not only do you reclaim your entry fee, you also pocket some additional cash. On the flip side, if you’re defeated, you lose your entry fee with nothing to show for your efforts.  Yes, it’s betting, and as you can imagine, it’s not really a way to earn.

According to Battle Bingo, you’re competing against other real-time players, and what’s more, you both possess similar Bingo-playing skills.

While you play, both players have the exact same Bingo cards. This levels the playing field and emphasizes the role of skills in the game, as quick reflexes and the strategic use of power-ups become key to securing a win.

Among these handy power-ups are:

  • Free Dauber: This lets you mark off an open number, bringing you a step closer to a Bingo.
  • Magic Ball: With this, you can select from four numbers, furthering your chances of achieving Bingo.
  • Triple Time: This one’s a score booster, multiplying your score by three.
  • Extra Time: If you need a few more moments to wrap up your game, this power-up grants you that.

One motivating aspect is the monthly leaderboard. The more games you clinch, the higher you rise. And here’s the sweet part: every month, Battle Bingo rewards its top-ranking players with additional cash prizes. It encourages more participation.

Though this system might remind you of other Bingo-like apps, reaching the top of the leaderboard might ask for a considerable investment on your part.

And here’s something crucial to note. Unlike many gaming apps that reward you just for playing, with Battle Bingo, there’s an element of risk. You’re betting your money on entry fees with the hope of making more.

Getting Paid

If you win a match, your prize money is added to your account. And, cashing out is hassle-free with the app. Whether you prefer the Cash App, PayPal, or simply getting the money back on your credit card, the choice is yours.

A big win for many users is the PayPal payout option. This means you’re not just restricted to redeeming gift cards, which is the case with certain other reward apps.

Your earnings vary based on the entry fee of a cash tournament and, of course, your performance. In many smaller tournaments, you might find yourself earning a bit more than your initial entry fee.

A piece of advice from some Battle Bingo reviews is that might take a bit of time before you see your first payout. To ensure a smoother process, it’s wise to use the same email for both your Battle Bingo account and your chosen payment method, be it PayPal or Cash App.

The Pros:

  • Great graphics
  • Very entertaining and addictive
  • Opportunity to win money
  • Some users have won money a few times, according to the official review
  • Provides challenges and events

The Cons:

  • Issues with money withdrawals
  • Suspected fraudulent behavior: deducting money without playing
  • Lack of customer service response
  • Claims of app being a scam
  • Accusations that the app is programmed to determine placement ahead of time
  • Takes a long time to release winnings to PayPal
  • Technical glitches such as the screen going blank during play
  • Unprofessional behavior from the app team
  • Limited ways to earn cash in the app
  • Not all money can be withdrawn; the app holds back “bonus money”
  • Perceived manipulation of game outcomes
  • App might be foreign, with potential language barriers
  • Negative experiences related to challenges and placements

Final Thoughts

3/10If Bingo is your jam, you might find this app entertaining. With a bit of luck and perhaps some strategy, you could pocket some extra change in your downtime.  However, remember to treat it like a gambling-like app.  It won’t earn you money like a job.

However, weighing everything, the risks might not be worth it, at least for me.

That’s going to do it for now.
