If you’re a fan of the Google Play store like I am, then in today’s blog post, I wanted to share some of the ways you can earn Google Play gift cards for FREE.
Yes, you heard me right. Nada. Zilch. Nothing.
And if you read my earning free gift cards post in the past, it will take a smidge of work on your end. Just keep that in mind.
So if you have a few minutes of time on your hands, consider these wonderful resources if your end game is a free Google Play gift card/credit to redeem for apps, movies, books and more.
How to Get Free Google Play Credit Codes
Swagbucks
I have written about Swagbucks in the past in many of my posts, and there could be a good chance you have seen this recommendation on other blogs or even here as well.
And if you’re unfamiliar with Swagbucks, it’s one of the largest rewards platforms, which will reward you with cash and gift cards when you complete tasks, take surveys, watch videos and even shop online. Plus, being as large as they are, they continue to add surveys and offers daily, making it pretty easy to build your points balance.
I mean, look at my dashboard as I’m writing this…
Every SB is equal to a penny, so there are some surveys worth $1 to $5. These surveys are quick and you can earn your free Google Play gift cards in no time.
For me, it’s one of the only reward websites that keep me busy and continues to send me unique offers in my email.
While Google Play credit codes are available as a reward, you don’t have to choose it as an option since there are many other options, such as PayPal cash and Amazon gift cards, to name a few. In fact, Google Play credits are often discounted, up to 10% off in comparison to other offerings, so this could be something look out for if you really want to maximize your points.
You’re not going to get rich with the website, but it could earn you $20 to $40+ a month, all depending on how much you’re using it.
Again, Google Play gift cards are one of the many options, so consider joining to earn cash and other cards as well.
Signing up is 100% free, and in most cases, the company will even offer you a FREE bonus when you sign up.

Freecash
Freecash has paid out millions of dollars to its members and they claim the average user earns $11 per day. This is one of the highest averages in the industry.
Like the many mentioned here, Freecash has a variety of ways to earn, most of which comes from third-party offer walls. From surveys to offers and games, there seems to be a never-ending supply of offers.
However, what I like about the site is that they have very lucrative leader board prizes, where the top 1,000 people can earn money just for being a top earner. In fact, when I was creating this post, the top earner for the day would earn $500.
Freecash is open worldwide and is 100% free to join. It only takes seconds.

Survey Junkie
As the name implies, Survey Junkie focuses primarily on surveys, with topics ranging from consumer brand opinions to your daily technology habits.
If you don’t mind setting aside 10 to 20 minutes of your day throughout the week, then this is a pretty simple way to earn a variety of rewards, including Google Play gift cards.
And the process is simple.
If you qualify for a survey, the company asks if you want to take it, and if you do (it’s 100% optional), you answer the questions honestly and get rewarded for your time.
Aside from surveys, Survey Junkie also offers phone surveys and focus group opportunities.
Like Swagbucks, the more effort you put into the website, the more you can earn; however, don’t plan on becoming a millionaire.
- Website: Survey Junkie
Branded Surveys
Branded Surveys offers a ton of gift card redemption options, one of which is a Google Play card.
Like the many research companies out there, Branded Surveys work no differently.
Sign up, create a personal profile, and based on your demographics, their advanced engine will send you specific surveys in which you can earn points.
Branded Surveys processes payments within one to two days and offers a ton of ways to earn.
- Website: Branded Surveys
PointClub
PointClub offers a variety of ways to earn, from taking surveys to completing offers.
What’s known as a “mission,’ You can earn points plus streak bonuses each time you complete one. Every point equals $1, and it will take at least $25 in points before you can cash out. It may sound like a lot, but as I write this, they have more than $287 in missions available right now.
Use the link below to get a cool $5 just for signing up and completing the tasks given. It’s not hard at all.
PointClub is operated by Innovate MR, an independently-owned market research firm with more than 3.5 million members.

Ipsos i-Say
Out of all the options I list here, Ipsos i-Say could be one of the most reputable companies on the list. They were founded in 1975, yes, well before the internet even existed, and have gathered more than three million members in that time.
As a panel member, you get to help influence new products by sharing your opinion and getting rewarded for doing so. The number of points you earn depends on the survey you take, but it’s not too hard to redeem a gift card, including Google Play credits, as redemptions start at 500 points, which is about $5 in value.
Aside from surveys, the company also offers “quick draws,” where you can win 5,000 points as well as other raffles, where you can win up to $5,000!
Ipsos i-Say is 100% free to join.

instaGC
instaGC, like Swagbucks, will let you redeem your reward points for Google Play credits as well.
I wrote about instaGC in the past, and in short, I found the company to be a great way to earn rewards while taking surveys, surfing the web, watching videos, shopping and so much more. They had a ton of things to do and could keep you busy for hours if you were new to the website.
Once you hit the minimum threshold, you can request your Google Play credit, which is digitally delivered, meaning no wait times.
Besides Google Play credits, you could choose from a variety of other rewards if you decide you want something else instead.
Who knows?
If you join today, it could only take a day or so to at least reach the minimum gift card threshold.
Joining is 100% free, and most of the time, you instaGC will give you a bonus just for signing up!
- Website: instaGC
PrizeRebel
Yet another website like instaGC and Swagbucks, PrizeRebel works in the same way, rewarding you for taking surveys, completing offers, watching videos and so much more.
I actually wrote about this company in depth as well and highly recommend you check them out if you want to earn a few dollars every month in your free time.
And yes, when you’re ready to cash out, you can choose a Google Play gift card if you want or from 500+ other gift card options as well.
Signing up takes less than 10 seconds and more than eight million people have joined to date.

Google Opinion Rewards
By far, Google Opinion Rewards is the best way to earn free Google Play credits, and it’s for many reasons.
Before I tell you the perks, let me first tell you how it works…
To use it, you will first need to download the app on your phone, either via the Google Play or iTunes. And don’t worry about the reputation as the app was created by Google and is 100% safe to download.
Then, from there, you simply need to wait as survey alerts will come to your phone based on where you travel with your phone, so make sure you let Google tap into your location and bring your phone with you anytime you leave the house.
I use this app quite extensively and have been rewarded for everything from sharing my opinion about hotel stays or a recent shopping trip.
So depending on how you travel, you could receive a survey today or a few days from now. For me, I go often a few times a week and probably receive close to three to four surveys a month and to date, I average about $3 to $5 in credits per month. I know, it’s not much, but out of ALL these resources, I can assure you that this is the easiest way to earn credits.
The payouts are not that high, often paying anywhere from $0.10 to $1 per survey (you get credit even if you don’t qualify), but the great thing is that you can apply these credits to any Google Play purchase when you’re ready to buy something, even if you have $0.10.

MobileXpression
MobileXpression is unique in a way that it will reward you as long as you let them install software on your phone and let the company track your usage. It’s truly a set it and forget it way to earn rewards.
While you’re not going to get paid a ton in doing so, this app will require NO effort on your part as all you need to do is install it and just let it run whenever you’re using your phone.
In short, you’re allowing this research company to explore your internet habits and will not be able to access any sensitive data.
With a 4.3/5 rating on the Google Play store from more than 25,000 reviewers, the company does note that you can earn a gift card, including Google Play, in as little as a week.
Signing up is 100% free and is a decent option if you want to earn free Google Play credits while doing absolutely nothing. Worst case, you can always uninstall it if you don’t like it.

Springboard America
Operating since 2009, Springboard America is said to be one of America’s leading survey panels.
As a panel member, like the many I already mentioned, you get to help influence global brands, services and products, all while being rewarded. It doesn’t take long to build your reward balance as long as you attempt log in at least once a day.
For every survey you complete, Springboard America will reward you with what’s known as “Survey Dollars,” in which you can then cash out for Google Play credits if you choose. You can read more about how this works in my Springboard America review.
Now, Google Play isn’t the only option as you can choose from Visa, Amazon, iTunes and alternative retailer gift cards as well.
Signing up is free, and in doing so, the company will automatically enter you into a raffle where you could win various cash prizes.
- Website: Springboard America
appKarma
With appKarma, you can earn daily rewards, including Google Play codes, by downloading apps, answering quiz questions and completing achievements.
Like most of the cash apps you find on the Google Play store, a lot of them deal with app downloading, wherein you will download an app, perform certain tasks, such as reach a certain level, and then wait for the company to credit your balance. Some apps will even reward you for the time you invest.
These apps can be great for those who want to earn a few bucks a month, but do not plan on getting rich. It’s also great for those who want to explore some new apps.
I will talk about many more of these apps below.
If you join appKarma, use my referral code, LUSHDOLLAR, to earn a bonus.

FeaturePoints
Available as a phone app or via your desktop, FeaturePoints rewards you with points for testing out new apps, taking surveys, shopping online and so much more.
Paying out more than $5.5 million since 2012, I liked the FeaturePoints app strictly for the app downloading feature since you could just download the app, perform the tasks as the company states in the directions and get rewarded. Plus, as I already mentioned, I found some fun games while doing it.
For example, with one app, I downloaded a gas station, created a profile and earned points in doing so. Took me less than three minutes, and since this gas station was in my area, I actually kept the app since I could earn rewards while filling up.
With Google Play credit codes as one of your many reward options, it could be one to consider if you want to earn a few points in your free time while surfing your phone.
If you do decide to join, you can use my code — Y36MNK — to get 50 points for free or just follow this special link for points if you plan on using the desktop version.
- Website: FeaturePoints
Bananatic
With Bananatic, they will reward you to play any games list on your Bananatic dashboard.
But unlike apps for your phone, these games are geared more toward the desktop, so you will find much more variety if you already joined some of the websites I mentioned prior.
Simply complete the in-game quests to get “Bananas,” which can then be exchanged for multiple prizes, including Google Play credits.
If you like playing games and want to be rewarded in doing so, then I highly recommend giving Bananatic a shot.
It’s highly rated, and they have a TON of gaming options.
- Website: Bananatic
Ibotta
Ibotta works at almost all grocery stores, and since there’s a good chance you’re buying something here and there, you should probably consider the free Ibotta app to get cash back for your purchases.
With the Ibotta app, they will reimburse you if you buy specific items on the grocery store’s list or complete a certain number of tasks.
For example, if you were shopping at Walmart and the Ibotta app has the cough syrup you’re buying, then you can scan your receipt after your purchase and get the Ibotta credit as noted in the app. Sometimes, the app will even have challenges, where you can upload a certain number of receipts in a time period to earn a bonus.
You’re shopping already, so why not get rewarded for your shopping sprees?
It’s free to download, and while most people take the cash option, you can choose a Google Play credit if you so choose. Feel free to check out my Ibotta review to learn more about how it works in detail.

AppNana
With more than 540,000 reviews on the Google Play store, AppNana will reward you with “Nanas,” the company’s currency, which can then be exchanged for free gift cards, including free Google Play credits.
And to receive them, the company will reward you just for opening the app every day, downloading apps and even referring your friends.
With a 4.5 rating, it’s one of the highest rated cash-making phone apps on the Google Play Store today and is highly recommended if you want to earn a few dollars in your free time.
If you do plan on signing up, be sure to use my invite code — t28115305 — for a small bonus to get you started.

GrabPoints
GrabPoints is one I have mentioned a few times before. It works like Swagbucks and few of the other survey sites mentioned prior.
Here, you can earn points via surveys, completing offers and even watching videos. They claim to pay the most out of their competitors, which seems to be partially true according to my review.
The only downfall is that you do need at least $11 in points to cash out for a free Google Play gift card. Not a deal breaker but a smidge higher than their competitors.
- Website: GrabPoints
BoomGift
Similar to that of AppNana, BoomGift is yet another app I found online that will reward you with free gift cards, including Google Play.
Now, before you get excited about all of these apps that claim to pay you to test apps, do keep in mind that you’re only able to complete the same task on one website only.
Since these websites often work with the same companies/providers, you may find some of the same offers when you log into the dashboard, and while it’s tempting to complete the same offer on each website, don’t be surprised if these companies reward you.
Try to complete these offers on one website only to build your points balance.

Tech2Cash “Make Money: Paypal Cash & Gift Cards”
The “Make Money: Paypal Cash & Gift Cards” app by Tech2Cash offers a variety of ways to earn rewards, from completing offers to completing surveys, all on your phone.
The app does require you earn at least $15 in rewards before cashing out, but they claim to be one of the highest paying apps on the market.
I haven’t tested the app personally, so I cannot attest to that; however, the reviews seem to be pretty good (4.6/5 rating), the main reason I’m adding it here.
Unlike the apps I mentioned earlier, you can do much more with this app, aside from downloading apps for rewards, making it a great choice if you want to do something different.
- Website: Make Money: Paypal Cash & Gift Cards
MISTPLAY
MISTPLAY is yet another app that lets you play games and earn rewards in doing so.
I know the list keeps growing, but man, there are a lot of these apps out there, many of which are very highly rated. For that reason, I did try to only include the highly rated apps on the Google Play Store.
To start collecting “units” in the app, you choose a game, start playing, and then, depending on how long you play, will determining how many “units” you can earn.
The “units,” being the app’s currency, can then be redeemed for multiple gift card options, including Google Play.
- Website: MISTPLAY
S’more
If you want to earn free Google Play credits by doing absolutely nothing, then the S’more app may be something of interest.
Known as a lock screen app, all you need to do is install the app and let it place ads on your lock screen. That’s it.
You will still be able to open your phone the same way you did before, with the only exception of the ad you’re viewing before doing so.
Now, before you get excited, do keep in mind you will NOT get rich doing this.
In fact, when I played around with it, it seemed that you couldn’t make any more than $0.10 a day, but hey, that’s $3 a month or $36 a year for basically unlocking your phone.
S’more lets you earn even more by completing surveys and offers as well, but this is entirely optional.
- Website: S’more
Lucky Day
The Lucky Day app is much different than the others I listed as it’s more of a lotto game rather than a complete an offer-like app. I play it personally and it’s okay if you want to pass the time and maybe win big.
Just like a scratch-off lottery ticket you would purchase at the convenience store, the app works in the same way, rewarding you with tokens and sometimes even cash, regardless of the outcome, as you scratch the lotto tickets.
Scratch off the ticket, win some sort of reward and then wait until you have enough to either cash out and/or redeem your tokens for gift cards, including Google Play. The app does have two balances, one for the cash you win and the other for the tokens you accumulate.
Honestly, plan on making $5 at most each month if you do decide to play around with it.
100% free, try it out and be sure to use my promo code IFW7MNQ to see what happens!

Register Your Chromecast (Varies)
If you have a Chromecast and haven’t registered it yet, then you may want to do so as Google is always offering promotional offers, which you can view here.
Depending on the time of the year and promotion, it’s not uncommon to see Google giving away free Google Play credits just for registering.
As you can imagine, it only takes a few minutes of your time, and by far, this could be the easiest way to earn these credits fast.
As noted in the subheading, however, this does vary as Google isn’t always giving away free credits, so your results may vary. For example, when I was writing this, they were giving away three free months of YouTube Music Premium.
Even so, check out the promotional page and be sure to register your Google device to take advantage of a free reward.
Take Advantage of Slickdeals Alerts
I love Slickdeals, and if you’re not a member, I highly encourage you to check out the website daily if you’re a fan of good deals.
Now, the reason I put this tip here is that the community is often fast at picking up ANY offer the minute it hits the internet, I swear.
And instead of wasting time online searching for these deals, let someone else do it for you and create an alert whenever a free Google Play opportunity arises.
For example, check out the freebies in the past few weeks alone:
Now to set up an alert, it’s extremely easy.
First, you’re going to want to create a free account on the website. It takes less than a minute, I promise.
Then, once you create your account, click on the “Deal Alerts” tab, either on your desktop or phone, followed by “Create & Manage Alert Deals”
Once on your deal alerts page, you can insert a keyword (such as “Google Play Credit”), which will alert you anytime that particular keyword shows up on the deals page.
You can also let the alert notify you based on the rating. So if you only wanted hot deals, then you would drag the bar all the way to the right, but if you wanted anything (I wouldn’t recommend this), you would scroll it all the way to the left.
Now, once you add your alert, the website, based on your preferences, can then email you, private message you or send a notification if you had the app.
I highly recommend you consider this alert feature as special Google Play promotions happen a lot, and while I would love to add them, I just don’t have the manpower to keep them updated.

Exchange a Gift Card (Kind of Free)
Do you have a gift card laying around the house that you know you’re not going to use?
Instead of re-gifting it, consider exchanging it online via reputable services such as CardPool.com.
And to use the website, it’s extremely easy and gives you a way to avoid selling it to the public.
Enter the balance on your card, and right away, CardPool will offer you an instant pay offer, sometimes up to 92% of the card’s value. Yes, you won’t get 100%, but it saves you time from dealing with scammers online when it comes to selling gift cards.
Then, if you like the instant offer, you can choose either a cash or in this case, exchange it for a Google Play card.
- Website: CardPool.com
Gift Card Generator Scam
If you have been looking for ways to earn free Google Play credits, then there could have been a chance you landed on either an app and/or website that claimed they would send you a free gift card code just for completing one offer after using a generator. You may have noticed them on the Google Play Store/iTunes as well
IF you do see any of these offers, DO NOT do them as you will never see your rewards as it is a scam.
Most of the websites will work in the same way, acting as if it’s generating a gift card code for you, but when the last few numbers are being generated, a pop-up window will show up stating that you need to complete an offer first to get your card.
In these cases, you will always be rewarding the scammer as he/she will get a kickback for that offer you just completed. And yes, you will NEVER see the gift card.
So in other words, if you’re spending five minutes of your time for $50, you really have to ask yourself if it’s legit.
Final Thoughts
As you can see, there are a variety of ways to earn free Google Play credits.
And while it will take a pinch of work, it can be done as long as you keep at it and attempt to log into your favorite account at least once or twice a week.
In doing so, it shouldn’t be too hard to earn $10 or $20 a month. You can even earn a few dollars a month with those lockscreen apps if you don’t want to do anything.
In the end, it’s up to you what you want to do.
Whether it’s testing an app, completing surveys, referring friends or browsing an ad while unlocking a phone, a little bit of effort on your part can lead to some pretty cool rewards.
Do let me know if you like a particular website/app that I didn’t include as I would love to add it!
In the meantime, try some of these out see which one works best for you.
Good luck!
