In the past, I wrote about the many ways you can make money fast, from $10 in a day to $1,000 in no time.

I mentioned a lot of great tips in those guides, but I wanted to create one that focuses on making quick money in one day.  I’m talking $50, $100 or maybe even $200+.  Just about anything, not just a specific number.

Whether you need the money now or in the near future, I can only hope one of the many tips I’m about to mention will help you earn quick money by the end of the day.

In this guide, you should be able to find something that could start making you money right now.  In other cases, it may take a pinch longer to work.  Nonetheless, these are all legitimate ways to make fast money in one day, almost guaranteed.

How to Make Money in a Day

Join a Research Panel for Almost Instant Cash

Projected Income:  $5-$20+/day

If you want to earn money in the next few hours, then the easiest way to do so is via a research company.

In short, these companies simply want you to answer questions, and in exchange for your honest feedback, they will reward you with cash, sometimes to the tune of $10 or more.  You can also earn in additional ways, such as signing up for an offer, watching a show or even playing a game.  All of these companies vary in their offerings.

You will not get rich in doing this, but it’s a fast way to earn $10 by the end of the day.  Keep at it, and you could earn upwards of $300 to $400 a month easily.  Simply sign up right now and you can earn almost immediately.

There are so many of these companies out there, but some of my favorites include Swagbucks, Survey Junkie and Superpay.me.

Free Money Right Now?

Projected Income:  $5-$20+/day

In the past, I wrote about the more than 50+ companies that will give you free money just for signing up for their service.  Yes, just for signing up, you can get free cash.

From Inbox Dollars giving you $5 to sign-up to Swagbucks doing the same with up to $10, it’s a very easy process to pad your bank account.  Just make sure you read the fine print as some exclusions do apply.

As there are quite a few, I just recommend you check this post out for more information.  In the end, it’s not too hard to earn at least $10 to $30+ in free cash.

Drive for Uber or Lyft

Projected Income:  $25-$200+/day

If you have a car and don’t mind taking someone from point A to point B, signing up for Uber and/or Lyft could easily bring in $100+ a day, sometimes much more.  The greatest thing about this option is that they offer “instant pay,” wherein you can be paid instantly after a fare or whenever you please.

All markets are highly dependent as your major cities will do much better than a rural area.  Plus, you will need to learn how your local market works to make decent cash.  For instance, maybe there’s a hot downtown that could make you $300 late on a Saturday night.  You will need to figure this out.

Since you’re driving your own car, it’s best to treat it like a business, setting aside at least 20% of your income for future repairs/maintenance.  In doing so, this could be one of the best ways to earn money quick one day.

Keep in mind that Uber does have to approve your account, but as long as you pass the qualifications, it’s not too hard to get activated in 24 to 48 hours.

Deliver Food

Projected Income:  $25-$200+/day

Don’t like the idea of driving people around?

That’s fine as there are multiple third-party delivery companies that are willing to hire you.  Instead of transporting people, you can transport food, making the ride much more quieter.

If interested, there are quite a few options, including UberEats, Grubhub, DoorDash and Postmates, to name a few.

Like Uber, your market will be highly dependent on what you make.  The same can be said when you work as a dinner rush will be much more lucrative than a late afternoon on a random Tuesday.

Nonetheless, working a busy dinner can easily net you $20+ per hour if you play your cards right.  I have done, and I know you can do it to.

Deliver Groceries

Projected Income:  $25-$150+/day

Similar to that of food, this works in the same, but you will shop and deliver groceries instead of slinging food or driving around people.

If you like the idea of grocery shopping, loading up your car and taking it to the customer, then consider one of the two most popular grocery delivery apps, Instacart and Shipt.

Once you get the hand of these third-party apps, it’s not too hard to gross $20+ an hour, sometimes more in a busy market.

Sell Your Plasma

Projected Income:  $20-$50+/day

You’re not able to sell your plasma every day, but you can do so a few times a month to earn up to $50 per visit.

Just like giving blood, plasma works in a similar way.  So, if you don’t mind the thought of a needle being injected into your veins, then it’s something to consider.

TaskRabbit

Projected Income:  $25-$200+/day

I have talked about TaskRabbit so many times, particularly in my work at home assembly jobs and odd ways to make money posts, and find it to be an amazing way to make money fast.

In short, TaskRabbit will match you with locals who need help with anything.  From cleaning up leaves in the yard to delivering a heavy object.  There’s something for all.

All you need to do is create an account have people find your or you can bid on jobs on the job board.

If you don’t mind getting your hands dirty and can set aside a few hours of your day, it’s pretty easy to earn $20 to $50+ a task, some of which only takes an hour to complete.

Craigslist “Gigs” Section

Projected Income:  $25-$100+/day

The Craigslist “Gigs” section is a gold mine for jobs that need to be done today.

From helping someone move to a catering company set up food, I have seen so many opportunities here that pay pretty good.  Check it out right now to see what you could take advantage of.

Like a lot of the options I mention here, how many jobs you find will greatly depend on where you live as a New York City would have a lot more opportunity than a rural Iowa town.

Become a “Seasonal” Entrepreneur

Projected Income:  $25-$100+/day

You’re probably wondering what the heck a “seasonal” entrepreneur is?   Yes, it’s a word I made up, but let me explain.

Again, depending on where you live, people will need their driveways shoveled in the winter and grass cut in the summer.  No matter where you are, there’s always a homeowner looking for something dependent upon the season.

Even if you don’t have a full-blown business, consider offering your services via door flyers or post a simple ad on a local Facebook Group or even Nextdoor.  All of these options are 100% free and could garner some interest, you never know.

Mystery Shopping

Projected Income: $10-$90+/day

Mystery Shopping is an amazing way to get started almost immediately and make some pretty good money in doing so.

If you’re not familiar with the process, it’s the act of shopping while undercover, hence, the name, and basically creating a report once you’re done.  In most cases, a company may want to know how an employee interacted with you or how clean a store was.  It’s usually self-explanatory and you will know what you’re getting yourself into before starting a gig.

Not only can you get paid to mystery shop, but many of these jobs include free hotel stays, free food and much more!

Find a Part/Full-time Remote Job

Projected Income: ???

A lot of these jobs are only temporary, and that’s okay if you want flexibility.

But, what happens if you want a part or full-time job where you can work from home?

There are a lot of job boards out there, regardless of your skill, so don’t think you need experience or a college degree to succeed.  It is possible to work at home, no matter who you are!

Babysit

Projected Income: $20-$90+/day

No matter where you live, there’s a good chance there’s a parent out there who needs your help to watch their children for the day, night or even the week.

Whether you want to turn it into a part-time gig to something temporary, there’s a babysitting job for all.

Check out or SitterCity.com to connect with parents in your neighborhood or even consider posting an ad on your local Facebook Group.

Consider Pet Sitting

Projected Income: $20-$50+/day

This one could take some time to take off, but it’s a quick way to earn cash for the day.

From walking dogs on the Wag.com app to listing your services on , there are so many ways to advertise your services if you don’t mind watching a pet for a night or even the week.

Clean Houses

Projected Income: $75-$150+/day

Like pet sitting, cleaning houses and/or businesses is another business you can get off the ground relatively quickly.

As long as you don’t mind getting your hands dirty and you know how to deep clean a house to perfection, it could be an option to consider.

From finding jobs on Care.com to posting advertisements on your local Facebook Group, the internet makes it quite easy to find your first cleaning client.

Freelance Writing

Projected Income: $10-$50+/day

As long as you can type about 30+ words per minute, there are quite a few companies that are willing to bring you on board as early as today.

And, no you don’t have to be a New York Times Best Seller, nor do you have to be speedy to get hired as most of your entry-level work is pretty straight-forward.  In the beginning, your payment may be lower than the industry average, but as you build your client base, it goes up much faster than you think.

Transcribe

Projected Income: $10-$70+/day

Don’t like the idea of writing 500+ words off the top of your head?  I get it!

Again, if you can type 30+ words per minute, then you may want to consider transcription instead.  In this case, you will type what you hear rather than what’s off the top of your head.

Like my get paid to type guide, I also wrote about 101+ transcription companies hiring today.  There are quite a few, some of which hire fast, so be sure to check it out if it’s a home-based gig you’re interested in.

Test Websites

Projected Income: $10-$30+/day

Did you know there are a few companies out there that will pay you to test out new websites and apps?

In most of these cases, you will be asked to use your webcam, as well as your microphone, to voice your thoughts as you browse the project.  In exchange for your time, you can then be rewarded, sometimes in the tune of $50+.

I have mentioned these types of websites so many times in the past, particularly in my 40+ websites to write reviews for cash and ways to become a beta tester posts, but to get you started, I would recommend you check out a few of my favorites like UserTesting.com and Usersnap.

Sell Your Photos

Projected Income: $1-$10+/day

Even if you’re not a professional photographer, let it be known that there are quite a few companies/apps that may be willing to pay you for your pictures.  This option won’t pay much, but it could be a fun way to earn some decent side cash.

No matter what your experience is, I recommend you at least check the options out to see if it’s something of interest.

Freelance

Projected Income: $10-$250+/day

Freelancing is HUGE, the reason I list it as a way to make money in so many of my posts.

Even if you don’t think you have a skill that can make you money, I can prove you wrong.  I mean, take a look at all of these options found on Upwork.com, for instance…

Not only that, but people are making a killing on Fiverr doing silly things, from singing a song to even wearing a t-shirt.  There are SO many ways to make cash in freelancing.  You would be surprised.

Mturk

Projected Income:  $5-$40/day

I love Mturk and must say it’s one of the best ways to start earning money online almost immediately.

If you’re unfamiliar with the platform, it’s a platform where you can perform smaller tasks for other people.  For example, it could anything from finding a phone number to analyzing a picture.  These tasks usually take no longer than a minute to do and pay anywhere from $0.01 to $0.20+ each.

You get to choose whatever jobs you want from the job board and can work whenever you please.

Don’t expect to get rich, but you can make a quick $30+ for the day if you invest a few hours into it.

Sell Something… Anything!

Projected Income:  ???

I know this is a one and done, but if you have anything around the house that you no longer use, consider putting it up for sale.  If you want money almost instantly, consider having a garage sale this upcoming weekend.

Today, selling online is easier than ever.  I have created so many guides to get you started, from the many Craigslist alternatives to holding a garage sale online.  In reading these guides, there’s no reason you can’t succeed.

And, don’t worry.

If you don’t have the time to sell, you can use one of the money online companies that will offer you a price on the spot, such as Decluttr.  Or, in the case of clothing, you can consider one of the many apps that will offer you a quote as well.

Have Any Gift Cards?

Projected Income:  ???

If you have any gift cards lying around that you know you will never use, consider selling them for instant cash.

Companies, such as CardPool, and GiftCardGranny.com, will all buy your gift cards back for almost the full value.

How much earn greatly depends on the company and denomination, but nonetheless, it’s a wonderful option if you don’t want to sell on your own.

Tutor

Projected Income:  $20-$50/day

As long as you have a college degree and feel you can pass a subject knowledge exam, then tutoring could be quite lucrative as some gigs pay up to $30+ an hour.

From working with a local school/college to one of the many tutoring websites, there are many ways to get your name out there.

The great thing about tutoring is that you can start as early as this week and work at your own pace.

Teach ESL Online

Projected Income:  $20-$100/day

ESL, which stands for “English as a second language” is defined as the act of teaching English to people who speak a different language to someone who lives overseas.  This is similar to that of tutoring, only that you will be teaching Chinese children overseas English.

I wrote about more than 30+ ESL companies that are hiring right now, with some paying as much as $25+ an hour.  Many people do it as their full-time job!

As long as you have a bubbly personality, a college degree and don’t mind working with younger children, it could be a gig to consider.

All of these companies allow you to work from home and choose your own hours.

Learn How to Flip

Projected Income:  $10-$300+/day

Known as “flipping” or “retail arbitrage,” this is the process of buying something low and selling it high.

Whether it’s finding an item on clearance at a local retailer or a hidden gem at a local garage sale, there are ways to find low-cost items that you can turn around and sell for a hefty profit.  If you don’t like the idea of investing your cash at first, consider looking for a Craigslist “freebie” to see if there’s any potential there.

I haven’t talked about flipping that much yet, but there are a ton of great YouTube videos as well as low-cost that can get you started.

Rent out Your Car

Projected Income:  $10-$30+/day

Did you know you can rent your car out for the day to strangers who may need it?

I know it can sound scary, but from my experience, the people who rent from you will treat your car much better than a corporation.

Two of my favorite options include Turo and GetAround.  It’s a very easy platform to use and can make you quite the sum if you live in the right area.

Get your car up now and you could be earning as soon as tomorrow.

Street Entertainer

Projected Income:  $10-$75+/day

If you live near a busy area, such as Times Square in NYC or maybe even the streets of Las Vegas, consider taking an act to the streets to see what kind of money you can make.

From dressing like a mascot and simply taking pictures to maybe playing your guitar, there’s money to be made as long as people are walking by.

If considering this route, just make sure you check out your local laws as you may need a permit in order to do this.

Consider Renting out a Room

Projected Income:  $10-$60+/day

Have a spare room in your house?

Consider renting it out for the day to a tourist or even rent it out for the year.

As long as you don’t mind sharing your personal space with a stranger, this could be one of the easiest ways to earn $50+ for the day, if not more.  It all depends on where you live and what you have to offer.

Check out Craigslist, AirBnb, Roomster and SpareRoom to get started.

Rent out a Parking Space

Projected Income:  $10-$20+/day

This only works if you live in or near a city most of the time, but it’s another way to make money quickly in one day.

Like many of the options already mentioned, there are a ton of websites, such as SpotHero and CurbFlip, that will let you post your parking space to connect with potential buyers.

Before you list, take a look at the websites to see if anyone in your area is listing their space, and if you can find one, see if it’s worth the price.

Focus Groups

Projected Income:  $50-$150+/day

To me, focus groups are one of the easiest ways to make $100+ in one day.

If you have never participated in one before, all that’s expected of you is to show up to a building, sit with a few other participants and simply answer questions.  These are corporations that help brands learn more about their demographics in the way of market research.

I have done a few of these in the past, from watching TV show clips to talking about a prototype.  Each job took no longer than 90 minutes and always paid at least $100+.

Be a Movie Extra

Projected Income:  $50-$125/day

Well, not a full-time actor/actress, but you could work as an extra, earning up to $150+ for the day.

No acting experience is necessary nor do you have to commit to a work schedule.  Simply show up as planned and listen to the crew as to where you should stand.

… And Everything Else

I found other options as well, but feel it doesn’t deserve its own section since it’s pretty self-explanatory.  As with all of my guides, I try to include as many options as I can.

• paint numbers on curbs
• sell crafts on Etsy
• sell at a pawn shop
• check with a temp service
• sell at a farmers market
• become a notary (not as hard as you think)
• sell your old books

Final Thoughts

It’s entirely possible to earn money quickly in one days, as you can see.

While some options may take a few days to get up and running, it can pay off huge dividends for the future, especially if you stick with it.
